The food is sophisticated and exquisite — ourselves and two young adult children swooned over every dish. Superb cocktails. Incredibly special evening. Will be a very special memory

Wow, just wow. Probably the best restaurant I've eaten at in Connecticut.

The variety of dishes are amazing, the quality of ingredients was top notch, and the presentation was on point.

The deviled eggs, sliders, heck, everything we ordered was great. We are absolutely making a point to stop here whenever we're in the area.

One note: Maybe it's because it's in Westport, but dress is on the fancier side. Jeans and a polo for guys is the bare minimum. Sport jacket and jeans is better. None is required.

Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating!

Parking: Plenty of parking, but you might need to hunt a bit with the way the lot is set up.

Kid-friendliness: Fancy restaurant, not great for little kids. Maybe above 5 is fine though.

Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible! Gotta go around on a ramp.

Had a fabulous dinner at the bar. The bartender was fabulous and extremely attentive. We shared a number of appetizers. Our favorites were the heirloom tomato burrata and the bao buns.

1st time experience and the food was fantastic (apps, main, dessert, drinks)! Had a nice and chill dinner outside on their patio before the evening rush. Definitely worth trying and making it part of our go to places to eat in the area.

The food was delicious. The chef came out, so we could thank him for the extremely delicious foods from apps to entrees to dessert.

nothing short of spectacular. from the shabby chic white washed wooden beams interior to the last drink, this is a place to celebrate that special occasion, a date night or just the fact you're in the neighborhood.

we've been treated like kings, melanie curated a perfect chef's choice dinner for us, the food was stellar, the drinks pairings spot on, and we all left with a huge smile.

they need to bottle and sell that house made limoncello and make a fortune.

Cocktails were excellent. Stone fruit salad wasn't ripe - not representative of the great local fruit this time of year. Waiter was a bit lackluster. Not up to prior experiences.

So terrible and disappointing. Salty. Overpriced. Oversauced and mediocre food and service. Trying to be something they are not - a unique experience. And I commented on the reservation. On a call to the restaurant to the hostess and our waiter it was our son's birthday. Not even an acknowledgement we even corrected the bill when you mistakenly didnt charge us for 2 dinners! Thankfully I had a snack in the car because I couldn't eat the food. Shame on you. You should close.

Food was high quality but with strange portion allocations. The pork had no potatoes and a very small vegetable portion sizing which made an otherwise very good meal somewhat dull. The lamb was excellent, and with potatoes and corn, much more interesting. The pavlova can be done open-style with fruit inside it for a more tasty dessert. Just a suggestion.

Food was excellent but it was soooo loud inside. Not sure if it was the crowd but painfully loud the first half of our meal- not sure what can be done but I am not even that sensitive to noise and I thought about asking to move but there really was no where to go. Tables are so close together too, I would reconfigure to give a little more space if possible.....

Scallop Ceviche and Bao Buns both great starters. Highly recommend the Bao Buns. Pork loin was good but a little blah. The two little pieces of pork belly that accompanied it were very good. The loin needed a sauce I think. My wife had the Salmon which she thought was very good but she thought it would've accompanied by sun chokes since that was the was the way the menu read, but in fact the sunchoke was ground on the top of the fish to presumably flavor the salmon. However, the failing that set me off was the temperature of the glasses of red wine I had. I first ordered a Nebbiolo that was served at a temperature that was at least 80 degrees. It was $18 a glass. I asked that it be taken back and chilled to maybe 68 or 70 degrees. When it came back, it was chilled to maybe 76 degrees. The next glass was a Chateauneuf du Pape at $25 a glass. It was again as warm as the Nebbiolo when first served.the server asked if I wanted it sent back to be chilled but I declined. I stress that I do not chill my red wines at home other than storing the better wines at 55 degrees , but I always let them warm to 65 or 70 before drinking. I have no idea what the bartender was thinking. But you can't serve red wines at 80 plus degrees when dinner for 2 costs $350 with tip. This is a highly rated restaurant but I won't be back anytime soon.

Bottom line: We won’t be back.

First time dining at The Cottage after hearing and reading rave reviews. We were significantly let down. The heirloom tomato, burrata and grilled peaches salad was delicious, but things went downhill from there. Do not get the bbq rib app. Completely inedible. It’s gristly, messy and not “fork-tender, falling off the bone” like the waiter described. Do not get the halibut. Lovely presentation but wildly overcooked, and the vegetables on the side were raw - which would be fine if they weren’t carrots. Very confusing why that veg was chosen. Do not get the waygu. $49 for a piece of meat smothered in a garlicky green sauce was too expensive for something that tasted only ok. The pavlova was delicious, thank goodness. Why they comped the dessert instead of taking off the gristly app we complained about was also an odd choice. We won’t be back.

Celebrated 25 wedding anniversary here. Service and food were amazing. The flavors were mind boggling good. While this restaurant is expensive, it's worth every penny. It was a bit warm inside for a hot summer night Ac could have been better.

Had the prix fix farm meal - SO delicious! My friend and I swopped appetizers as she wanted the grilled peach, tomato and burrata salad that came with my meal and I wanted the foie gras. It was truly the best foie gras I've had! The pasta course was delicious and the main course, lamb chop over the top! EAT HERE! Expensive and worth every penny! The two other folks I was with also loved their meals. Must add that the wine pours are generous and the cocktails actually taste like they have some alcohol in them. And the dessert.....best ever! "hot fudge & peanut butter sundae with warm peanut butter cloud and brown butter almonds". We shared one between the three of us, thinking we'd each take a bite. Licked the bowl clean! Such goodness! As I said, worth every penny - treat yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Always enjoyable. Creative menu with tastefully prepared food. Tried some new items which were very good. As regulars would like more frequent menu updates. Outside nice during these early summer days.
