This place is truly a gem. Delicious coffee and the owner, Vincent, couldn't be any nicer. Worth the trip from anywhere. If you love coffee, stop in. You won't be disappointed.

I've wanted to visit Drum Roll Coffee Roasters for a while, but I'm usually only in Old Wethersfield ("OW") before or after they open. Drum Roll is predominantly a coffee roaster, but they sell some merch as well. They may serve beverages on site, but that doesn't seem to be a focus of the website or store and I was in and out when I visited. I did not see any seating. I bought two things at the small, thin store in OW, and I also recently had cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee at Bake Market in Rocky Hill. The following things stood out. First, the person who helped me, who I assume was the owner, was conversant in coffee terms that matter to me. Sometimes I talk to a store employee about single origins or roast levels, and they don't know what to say. The person who helped me knows coffee and they had a good selection. Second, my Ethiopian Single Origin Beans I used for a home pour over, turned iced coffee, were obviously fresh roasted. You could taste the roast. A coffee can actually be too fresh roasted, and based upon experience, I think some of the listed tasting notes will be more prominent in a few more days. I usually wait 7 to 10 days after the roast date before using coffee. For this reason, putting the roast date on the bag might be a good move. Third, the coffee bag is a high end bag. I buy a lot of craft coffee over the internet. Some places try to have useful bags, and some places try to save money on bags. Drum Roll has a ziplock style seal that makes keeping coffee fresh easier. Their bag is on par with other top places. Fourth, Drum Roll serves canned cold coffee. I'm not sure if they rotate their offerings. I bought one snap chilled Papua New Guinea Cold Brew can. It was very smooth and above average for a canned coffee product. Fifth, I don't remember the exact price, but I remember thinking the price was reasonable. I would definitely buy more bags if I happened to be in OW when I needed coffee beans and Drum Roll is open. Sixth, Bake Market's cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee was rich and smooth. It had a darker flavor and roast profile than I normally I drink, but it was well executed for that style. Based upon all of this, I recommend Drum Roll for people who make coffee at home. While I have my own grinder at home and buy whole beans, they even asked if I wanted the beans ground. 4.5 Stars

On interstate roadtrips, sometimes salvation comes in the form of cute, friendly coffee establishments.Such was the case for mine and my squads’ visit!Running the shop was (presumably) Vincent, one of the owners, and wow, I can’t sing higher praises. Definitely above and beyond service. His passion for coffee was definitely palpable—offering the rundown for the various roasts and what have ya, offering recommendations. That sort of thing. Before we left, he also pointed out some places nearby to check out. Sadly, this was but a pit stop, but hey! Now I have vague plans to visit Wethersfield again. Before my coffee was even cool enough to try, I grabbed a bag of espresso for home. Luckily, both turned out to be super delicious and I’m mad grateful I made that impulse buy. Also lucky is that they ship! I can’t wait to try some more beans and support such a 10/10 business!

We wandered in on a cold, rainy day and found exactly what we needed at Drumroll! Drumroll’s coffee perfectly embodied its wall-to-wall charm, and the owner’s enthusiasm for both coffee and the holiday season. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious coffee and a little cheer!

I’ve searched for good coffee all over Connecticut and western Massachusetts. I finally found what I was looking for at Drumroll. I like the Main Street Select, but I just bought Fireside at Vincent’s suggestion, and that’s delicious too.

Really good coffee and super nice people. Great selection of beans and they also brew multiple different roasts, which was a pleasant surprise. Will be back!

I live on the shoreline and we have plenty of established coffee roasters down here. I have purchased coffee from all of them and been satisfied, but when I tasted Drumroll I never looked back. The selection offers something for everyone and the beans are all ethically sourced. I prefer dark roasts but my girlfriend prefers light and we both have plenty of options to choose from in the rotating offerings. I should also mention the special releases that add even more variety to the line up.When it was time to purchase an espresso machine for our home I went straight to Drumroll and asked for some advice. I was guided to a machine with all the features I was looking for even though it was not sold at Drumroll. This is the type of honest service that I look for wherever I do business, and it is at the forefront with Drumroll. Bottom line, great coffee and great people.

Great product, even better people. Vinny has always greeted me with a smile, is so willing to help educate, and has strong ties to the community. Couple that with truly fantastic coffee and you have a business that is so easy to support. I’ve ordered beans from roasters all over the country from Montana, California, Kansas, Arkansas, Wyoming, North Carolina, and even Vancouver and am genuinely hard pressed (pun intended) to find better beans than what’s drumming up in OW. Could not recommend more!!

saw the “Connecticut’s best coffee roast” on the sign while stopping nearby to pickup some food and decided to stop in for a cup. The owner graciously informed me how it was made and sold me a can of his snapchilled cold brew. I’ve had many cups of coffee but this can is hands down the best tasting coffee that has touched my lips. I wish the owner and this business all the best and to keep up what they’re doing.
