I recently purchased a $100 Gift card that was being mailed and unfortunately I never received and it was supposed to be a Christmas gift. The owner Lucas called me personally to let me know that although the gift card did not make it to me and their business is now closed until January, he would personally resend me $100 in gift cards and bring them to the post office and have them express mailed and he would cover the cost to make sure I received them as soon as possible. I cannot Thank Lucky Lou's (Lucas) for his act of kindness. This was not his fault that they did not reach me and I just want to say that he put his Customer first. We had such a nice conversation and I can see why he was rated one of the best restaurants in Wethersfield. I am from Watertown, CT and I look forward to going to Lucky Lou's to personally thank him and shake his hand for being so kind. Times are hard for restaurants and I look forward to supporting them and meeting them soon. Best regards, Danielle Madden
Well the location is quite good I would say and the service is excellent. The food is also quite good and I enjoyed the Santorini chicken burger on the holiday lunch.

My family and friends and I have been coming to Lucky Lou’s for years, and it never misses. The food is genuinely some of the best in the area, and the location in Old Wethersfield is super charming. The quality is always top notch, the service is consistently great, and the owner goes out of his way to be welcoming and is very accommodating especially when we come in with bigger groups. Even when it’s just my partner and me, he stops by to chat, which we always appreciate. We’ve celebrated birthdays, engagements, and college graduations at Lucky Lou’s on top of casual dinners throughout the week and couldn’t be happier everytime. The patio is dog friendly and a great place to eat in the warmer months and the inside is beautiful too for the colder months. 10/10 recommend.

great spot for a night out or a nice meal with friends. The restaurant features modern American cuisine with a Greek-Italian influence, and is located in the historic section of town, lending it an inviting atmosphere surrounded by old homes and greenery. During a recent visit, the attentive server made excellent recommendations, including standout entrees and a decadent lemon yogurt cheesecake for dessert.

Stopped by last weekend. The patio is amazing ,string lights, good music, and that small-town “everyone knows someone” vibe. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was roughly the size of a small pillow (in a good way). Fries were crispy perfection.
Only downside? The guy at the next table laughed like a car alarm. Not the restaurant’s fault, but wow.
Would definitely come back ,maybe with noise-canceling earbuds and an appetite.

We waited for our appetizers for almost an hour. The table behind us got their appetizer before us and had sat down for only 20 minutes, and they received the same appetizer as us. We tried to cancel them, but the waitress said they would be right out. They were given to us, and the wings were actually good. There was a 25% added gratuity for parties over 6. We had a party of 9, and we did not receive service that was worth 25% gratuity. After waiting for our appetizers, we shortly got our food. It was okay and only warm. It wasn’t hot at all. One order was dropped, so they remade it. The steak from the remade order came out raw. It looked purple when it was requested to be medium rare. I was disappointed in the service as it did have a good environment.

I dined at Lucky Lou’s today with 8 of my friends and unfortunately we had a horrible experience. They were able to seat our large party which was great considering the town was busy this weekend, but that’s where the good service ended. We waited an hour for our appetizers, and our entrees came out cold shortly after - my friend’s steak was served raw! I was also shocked that the waitress never asked any of us if we wanted more drinks after our first round. Since we were a large party, there was an automatic 25% gratuity added to our bill. I’ve dined at very nice and high end restaurants with large groups and never experienced this high of gratuity, especially for this caliber of restaurant and service received. Very disappointed in our experience today, and I do not recommend dining here unless you have a few hours to kill and want mediocre food.

Much respect for the owner/manager(?) who came out and set the expectation of wait times due to everything being made to order. solidified in our minds that we were ok with waiting for a table and it was totally worth it.

Food is good, but overpriced. Went a year ago and waited 45 minutes for drinks and an hour and a half for food. We wanted to give it a second chance a year later, same waitress as before, still a tough wait with people leaving who sat down after us while we waited for food. Nice atmosphere and a great location. If you’re going to order anything, I would recommend the burger.

We sat outside for the beautiful atmosphere and perfect weather. I got the chicken Gyro which was so yummy and flavorful! The one thing I was disappointed with was the service! Our waitress was so slow and took so long for everything. Even to get a refill on water took so long…. It was extremely frustrating. At times we felt she forgot about us. We came for lunch, and even tho there were other people dining here, it wasn’t packed by any means. Unfortunately, with the service being as bad as it was made the overall experience not the best. Again, the food and atmosphere was good but the service really hurt our experience!

Lucky to find Louis’ for lunch. Even luckier that outdoor seating is available for what was a beautiful warm fall afternoon. The location couldn’t be better, right across the street from the most famous house in Wethersfield, the Webb House. There’s a little parking on the street, and a snug lot in the back however, there is also an ample public parking lot several houses down the street so parking is not a problem. The 18th century house is well preserved and enticing however, there is very little dining area within the home itself, and an even smaller bar—so outside it was. The staff was plentiful and very polite. We were sat immediately, attended to shortly after. The menu was continental, soup/salads/apps/handhelds/main plates with an ample drink/wine offering as well. I would rate the prices on the high side as your average hamburger isn’t usually in the mid $20 range but as I don’t know the area very well it is hard to tell if this is average for the location. The food was decent. My companion thoroughly enjoyed her chickpea salad with chicken added. I had the fish and chips and was pleased as well. The quantities were meager, considering the price tag, but the quality was excellent.
I would have never heard of this stop as we stopped by here after a day of wedding dress shopping for my princess girl & am so happy that we did! Such an adorable little town. We sat outside of the very large patio, everyone was bringing their dogs (so cute). Food was great. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop back in.
