gallos is probably the best and my favorite mexican food restaurant i’ve come across yet. everything was fresh, full of flavor, and came out super fast. the staff were really friendly and made the whole experience even better. the portions were perfect — you definitely get your money’s worth. the place has a nice, welcoming vibe too, super clean and comfortable. you can tell they actually care about the food and the customers. i’ve been to a bunch of spots around ct and nothing comes close. gallos is 100% worth checking out if you’re in willimantic or even just passing through. Zero competition when it comes to this place.

My girlfriend & I came here three days in a row. The first day, we came to try the food, not sure at all what to expect. But as soon as we tried the Birria tacos, we knew we had to tell everyone in the area that they needed to come here. I highly recommend this place, amazing food & very friendly staff!

WOW!! Very casual restaurant, nothing to write home about inside, but the FOOD! My husband said this was the best burrito he’s ever had (choose the El Pastor, which is pork with pineapple). I had the Carnitas plate with grilled onions. Shout out to Karina for excellent service.

Honestly… this was the best sandwich I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of sandwiches. The lady who took my order was absolutely amazing and helpful. She explained the sandwich in detail and was so polite. The place was very welcoming and clean. I’ve had their horchata (mango, strawberry and regular). All were very delicious. But today… TODAY I got their cemita. And it was out of this world. You need to go there today and get some!!!! Just an amazing place with amazing food.

An Absolute Gem! Gallo’s Restaurant is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel right at home.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavour, clearly made with the freshest ingredients. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into their homemade cooking. It’s not fast food, and that’s a good thing. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but when you’re getting freshly prepared, made-from-scratch meals, it’s more than worth it.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I can’t recommend Gallo’s enough. It’s a rare find that delivers both quality and authenticity. Do yourself a favour and give it a try, you’ll be glad you did!
