“Ok, so, I feel like I have the pedigree to review a diner. Growing up on Long Island with many late nights diner meals and even parked cars at one. I can say that this diner is extremely solid! First, cleanliness creates "ambiance" in a diner. It's roomy, not cramped and cluttered, which is nice. Plenty of helpful staff. The food has an above diner quality at least in the patty melt, fries with gravy (the gold standard test of a diner IMHO). The PM cooked perfectly, good quality and delish! They serve theirs with bacon, if you it like that way, but, I go for OG patty melt. My dining mate (nameless to protect the innocent) had not one, but, two Belgian waffles. Excellent. I think this place is great and next time I will explore the menu a bit. They even have mixed drinks, beer and wine, btw. Go and enjoy! Oh, I have to try the milkshake too!“

I don’t do this often but I want to recognize my server, I don’t want to put her name in public but let’s just say it’s Sara with an S, one small issue was I did not notice a name tag. But with her service I got over that first let me tell you she had me try the French toast with strawberry and banana , I don’t like fruit much and i found out it was bomb . Also we did begin a bit shaky because Sara was doing a good job but seemed upset, I can’t go into personal details because I don’t know them. But I told her like I tell my daughter, chica wear your smile like it is your hottest clothing and make sure you show sass and confidence as a woman and men will respect you like a queen. She really took to my advice and she was smiling the entire time after. A small word of wisdom can really change a woman’s attitude and I was there for her. I hope management is good to this young lady and keeps giving her guidance and loving support as a community I did that. Keep coming back here for that French toast and I will keep making her smile, please tip your waitresses well people they work harder than most people. Also the table and the bathroom was spotless keep up the work owners.“

We had to go back to the car to get more cash as we didn’t carry much on us as tourists.I even saw someone order something and then when they advised they only take cash the customer walked out as he had no cash.“

“I am an East Coast diner girl through and through. When working back east I spent a couple of days in Stamford visiting friends. Had a morning to myself and found Curley's. The owner is adorable. She chatted with me while I ate my omelette. She told me the best diner stories and a little history about herself and her family. This is why I LOVE diners....it equals family.
