I ordered a pizza from Sophia's for the first time on 08-17-24 with supreme results! Employee who took order and waited on me in person was friendly and professional. The pizza was on-time and perfect! Looking forward to future visits to Sophia's!

Terrible pizza. Asked for light sauce and still came out goopy and couldn’t even hold it. Needed fork and knife. Would not recommend ordering pizza here!

June 6th We ordered a Large Chicken parmesan, and a half cheesesteak grinders. Went to pick up the order brought home, the chicken parmesan wasn’t a chicken park, it was just a chicken grinder with lettuce tomato and mayo. Called to let them know they messed up the order, manager said that we would be reimbursed the $14.95 for the grinder on the CC that the order was placed on! That never happened, so we ordered again the following Wednesday, when I went in to pick food up I inquired about the reimbursement or getting one of the grinders this time for free, (because we weren’t reimbursed for the screw up! I was told by cashier she has no idea what I was talking about and there was no note stating any reimbursements or grinder to be given for free…. Still waiting on the reimbursement for screw up… If you ask a customer for the CC # so you can reimburse the $$ back to them then do that!!! Will not be going back here till they make this right…

We eat at Sophia's at least twice a week and our experience so far has been good. But tonight was most disappointing. We ordered a medium pizza with sausage, requesting easy on the cheese and lightly baked. It came to us with extra cheese, very little sauce and salty as hell. The cheese was like bubblegum and would not break down - better quality cheese suggested. Whoever the chef was this Monday night needs coaching on following the customer's request, as ours was ignored. Paid for it but left most of it.
We also observed our waitress playing with their hair and touching their face and then serving food. When they were bussing another table they took the cleaning cloth and walked around with it on their shoulder. Never saw her go to wash hands after both. Training on sanitary practices is in order.

I’ve been a resident of Winsted on and off my whole life, when I was younger we would go to Sophia’s and it would be a happy memory, we had a memory made tonight, we called ahead at opening to say we would be there with about 10 people for a birthday party, all they had to do was push some tables together, they had maybe one or two other customers the whole time we were there, the waitress not only kept complaining about being there and that the dishwasher was new, but she also couldn’t get any of our orders straight, and if we DARED ask for her to fix it or a cup of ice it was a major attitude and she was arguing with us about lids to our take out container, Nevermind we could HEAR her talking bad about us to the other waitress, talk about terrible customer service, on what could easily have been double the bill, we instead stopped eating, took almost all of our stuff to go and got away from people who obviously didn’t want us there to begin with, will NOT be going back

Found this place on way home from skiing and it was such a great find! Food was great and the service was awesome! If we travel thru again we will definitely stop again!
