I’ve been a resident of Winsted on and off my whole life, when I was younger we would go to Sophia’s and it would be a happy memory, we had a memory made tonight, we called ahead at opening to say we would be there with about 10 people for a birthday party, all they had to do was push some tables together, they had maybe one or two other customers the whole time we were there, the waitress not only kept complaining about being there and that the dishwasher was new, but she also couldn’t get any of our orders straight, and if we DARED ask for her to fix it or a cup of ice it was a major attitude and she was arguing with us about lids to our take out container, Nevermind we could HEAR her talking bad about us to the other waitress, talk about terrible customer service, on what could easily have been double the bill, we instead stopped eating, took almost all of our stuff to go and got away from people who obviously didn’t want us there to begin with, will NOT be going back

Just took a bite out of the pizza and it was immaculate. As soon as we opened the box I knew that this was different. The dough was perfectly crispy. The sauce was good. The cheese was perfect. The quality has improved immensely, I am hoping they will continue making their pizza this delicious!

Sophia's is always consistent with great food. Their salads are large & plentiful, made fresh to order. The pizza is fantastic too, cooked to perfection with a delicious thick crust. The staff is attentive and friendly.

My parents eat here 2 to 3 times a week. For my Dad’s birthday today, we had six adults and four children, looking for a quick lunch meal. The restaurant had two people at one table in the main room, and a small family seated in the back room, with a party for the large table due to arrive in an hour. The waitress immediately told us that she couldn’t accommodate us. Ten people? She would of had 15 people eating in the entire place. We didn’t ask for the large table, we would have made it work but she wanted nothing to do with us. Rude.
I usually love Sophie’s, I drove all the way there from Waterbury last evening for dinner. What a terrible decision! The service was awful, the waitress made me repeat my order twice, my husband also. It took over 45 minutes to get our food , our drinks were gone by then, offered no refills, our orders both were wrong! My burger was burnt to a crisp, no condiments , I ordered bacon, mushrooms and cheese, it had none! I was told that the items were “ inside the meat”??!! I cut it open and nothing in the meat?? I had a dinner of cold fries! And my husband had asked for extra mayonnaise, he had none?!! Terrible!! I won’t be going back!!

Excuse me for saying but the waitress was brain dead when I called her up to order the pizza I say can you wait 10 minutes to put the pizza in the oven but she was so ignorant that she kept asking me what time I wanted to pick it up last time there I don't need to do arithmetic to pick

Will no longer be ordering from once amazing place. Ordered over the phone and picked up and our grinders were completely wrong. Chalked that one up to the girl answering the phone not understanding us. Problem was semi solved, realized upon getting home did not receive the tiramisu. Cut the staff a break and didn't call about it.Today I ordered on Doordash and was so disappointed I called and spoke to the manager here about my order. Girl who answered the phone was very nice. Confirmed you can see where I asked for no lettuce, among other very very simple very polite requests.Apparently all I get for my food being wrong yet again, is a sorry we are really busy it is the way it is. No lettuce isn't that hard. Hot or cold isn't that hard. I understand not adding more toppings that you cannot charge for but olives and pickles Sophia's? It's a rough economy, but rough enough that I pay for a whole sandwich and you can't include olives and pickles? Or substitute the cheese? When you do if I call for pickup?Maybe take yourselves off Doordash because this much extra in their fees on top of not receiving the simple subs on orders.....not very conveinient for the customer.Value every customer. Maybe you need to remember your quality before the quantity disappears.

Second time my grinder order has been messed up. Today was blamed on doordash when some issues had no relation to the doordash app. See Google review for full information, or my Facebook post which has now grown after an employee decided to chime in on my post tagging this establishment.
