I have tried a lot of wine made in CT, and this is the best I have had. I bought bottles of Briar Knoll, Clearview, Chapman, and Ridgedale. I really enjoyed all of them, but Clearview the least. I do not buy bottles that are $20 or more, so the fact these fit that budget is amazing. If this was sold in my local liquor stores, it would be my go to brand. Also, the vineyard and winery are really cool, historical, and on beautiful, peaceful land.
This vineyard is the perfect representation of what pure varietals should be. The tasting included all their wines and my favorites were their whites/rose. They had a live band and space for sitting/relaxing and lounging. Their labels were a picturesque representation of historical landmarks and their wine was a trip through time. This is the place I'd recommend anyone to go to to get a great representation of what each varietal is supposed to taste like and what Connecticut wine can perfect. The pictures dont do it justice!
My husband and I had a lovely time today visiting this wonderful winery . It is a must visit !!! Doug and his wife are behind the operation and he provides a rich history of the origin of the land from a working dairy farm to a vibrant Vineyard nestled in the open countryside . It's a warm and welcoming atmosphere detailed with a family history you must hear about. The wine was delicious and you can stroll throught the Vinyard at your leisure. We brought our own cheese board and enjoyed the scenery. Thx Doug!.
Doug was so informative! The vineyard is beautiful and the wines were are very good. We will definitely be back again!
Great location beautiful property tasty bottle of wine 💯🇺🇸
My friends and I went on our own “winery tour” for my friends 40th. We had a terrible experience at Sharpe Hill and were hesitant to go to the next place, The Vineyard at Hillyland. We went and I said to my friends, “watch, they will be the nicest people!” Sure enough, they were. What an amazing experience. The wine tasting was excellent and they were so accommodating to our party. The wine was absolutely delicious and I truly admire what they have built. Thank you for being such welcoming hosts! I will definitely return.
This is a total Connecticut wine gem. All grapes are grown locally. Geri gives the best wine tasting, with stories for each bottle of wine. The farm is beautiful and all of their wine is fantastic.
wines are very good, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Wow, what a nice place!
Delicious wines, great atmosphere.
Fantastic. Every wine available was amazing. The tasting comes with a mini history lesson of local farms which was great. The owners are wonderful and down to earth and the facilities are great.
wine slashes not worth the price for an 8oz cup for $10 your better off going to d&g's for a sangria
Good people, good music, fun timesOh yeah... The wine is perfect.
