Best breakfast in town! No longer Hoppy Days. New owner/original owner. Now "THREAD CITY DINNER II"Food has clearly been upgraded and generous portions. Fantastic

If you haven't visited this spot for breakfast/lunch then why haven't you yet. Heading back from some yard sale hunting we were getting hungry and wanted to try this spot out after reading some reviews and the photos. I ended up getting the steak omelette with tater tots yes please, any spot that has tots for an option is definitely a plus. Jamie our server was awesome ?. She made us laugh and loved her energy and the crew did an outstanding job. I'm also a sucker for biscuits so I definitely had to get one. Will definitely be back again.

Went here with my niece and ordered biscuits and gravy and she had chicken and waffles... the gravy was gluey almost inedible and all the food was smothered in it.... my niece didn't even eat her food and we tried to reorder another one without the gravy but the manager was just ugly and rude and had us pay for uneaten food ....despite us remaining calm ..... the only good thing I can say about the diner is the atmosphere is cute.... but food was not worth it unfortunately.... first time trying to venture out from our normal breakfast places and this place killed our morning which we redeemed ourselves with a delicious pancakes from Kitchen Little in Mystic never disappoints ❤️.... update: no lie here folks the manager once again comes on here and still very unprofessional with her response.... 5 stars sure you still have couple of 1 star and in which one you offered to reimburse them for the bad food in our case you didn't offer that if anything yes to replace it but we would pay for the uneaten food as well as the replacement and you are right people witness how loud an uncalled for you were standing over us and just being overly rude especially to my niece.... I could of stoop to your level but I refuse to embarrass myself anymore. I rarely leave a bad review anywhere unless I was made felt so little and humiliated. Thank you hope you can learn from this.

The nutella crepes were perfection! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved that the kitchen was open and it was so clean! My one downfall is that the homefries had onions and seasoning in them and i wish that would have been in the description. Other than that it was a great visit and i cant wait to try my macarons when i get home?

Way overpriced. I was charged over $6 to have a breakfast sandwich made with egg whites only on an English muffin instead of whatever bread they offer. They was on top of the cost of the sandwich so I paid over $12 for a breakfast sandwich. The server barely came over to check on us and we just felt rushed.

Good food, a bit crowded and service was slow. Loved the place.

The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. The portions of food are large. My friend needed a to go box for her eggs, bacon, and homefries. The value is on point, especially if you are there before 9 for the early bird prices. Full menu with choices for everyone's taste.

Parking: Free on street parking. Also, right next to a large municipal lot that is free.

As good as it gets! Classic American diner with a local feel and unbelievable food. Huge portions will test the strength of your belt. The breakfast sandwich (on the sunflower bread) did the trick for me. The Monte Cristo and Cowboy omelette got high marks from my friends. Jody served us and brought high energy, good conversation, and terrific recommendations. All the staff was at the top of their game, accommodated us, and created a really welcoming atmosphere. Flew in from out of town to give this place a try and would make the trip (60 miles) again!

I just ate there. I eat all the time there they know I don't need a menu and know that I leave if they're out of sausage links and this time they decide to not only not tell me they're out of them like last time because I left last time they bring out the replacement of that I eat nothing off my plate and they still charge both mine and my boyfriends food. You know us and you know we don't want the other sausage and try to be sneaky not saying anything and didn't even ask what was wrong about the full plate I didn't eat and was charged for

Excellent quality food, great service and good generous portion sizes. Large spacious seating areas, for individuals as well as families. The eggs Benedict was very good.

Kid-friendliness: Large family size booths and tables.

Parking: Plenty of off street parking available.

Food was very tasty and large. I got an early bird small omelet and that filled me up for the rest of the day. Other portions for a party were above average size. No complaints from anyone.

Ah..the brunch scene is a tough one. The eggs were fresh but the bacon was old and cold. The bread was fresh but the potatoes were a tad raw in the middle. Our waitress was pleasant enough, but they were trying to close around us and maybe kept her away from our table long enough to make my guest and I wonder when she might be back. Atmosphere wise, Hoppy Days is a good place to find conversation at your table and for that I can appreciate the waitress staying away a few minutes longer.

Breakfast only, but what a breakfast. All fresh, served hot, tasty unique omelettes, and huge portions (don't over order). The service was perfect, timely but not rushed. Prices were reasonable ($10-$20) for what you get. Easy parking.
