“It's always a pleasure stopping by to get my spinach patties every week. Today Shernette took my order over the phone while Arline prepared it and ensured that I didn't have to wait long upon arriving.
Kree does the baking and is always willing to put some extra spinach patties in the oven when they are running low.
Ms. Yvonne and AnnMarie are very pleasant and polite.
The staff at Golden Krust really do make me feel like they care.“

“Sister’s is a small and cozy neighborhood cafe located in the north end of Hartford that feels very homey. Great food, good vibes, and friendly service. The menu is a blend of Jamaican and Black American comfort food. I started to get the ackee and salt fish but stuck with an old southern favorite my grandma used to make. The fish and grits with a side of eggs didn’t disappoint! The fish was seasoned and fried perfectly and the grits were buttery and soft. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.“

“I had a craving for delicious Jamaican food today and this place did not disappoint! I had jerk pork, with rice & beans, cabbage, and plantain! Not only was the portion more than enough, the gentleman who took my order was very kind, and friendly. The food was so delicious!!! All of it, every bite. This will be my new go to restaurant from now on!!!! Prices are reasonable also!!!!“

“Unassuming takeout only West Indian Restaurant. I have been a few times and the food is always excellent! I love the Jerk Chicken, peas and rice with Oxtail Gravy and Stewed Cabbage. Just the right amount of heat and the smoky flavor of the chicken is perfect! The cabbage is sweeter than I am used to, but I enjoyed it. It helped cut the heat. Parking can be difficult when it's busy, but so worth it!!!“

“The staff (Antoinette) was so very calm, patient and courteous as we attempted to call in an order for three people while driving.
Her handling our various questions related to our orders; all while serving in-person customers was impressive!! She was fantastic as well as the other staff. Would certainly recommend this restaurant!“

“They have the best curry chicken! The pepper steak is also phenomenal. Above all, their fried chicken is outstanding. Those are the only things I’ve ever gotten but their food is the best in the area! I forgot, their fried dumpling and ackee breakfast is also the best.“

“I’m from the Bahamas and I have lived in South Florida for years. I now live in North Florida and haven’t had the same Jamaican food restaurant taste as I did in South Florida. Why the hell I just pulled up in Windsor Locks Connecticut and saw this place and thought to myself ‘Ain’t no way in the world this gonna be good.’ I was wrong. I got the curry goat and a beef patty. This place is it. 100%. And I never leave comments.“
