I have a phobia of a certain type of deli: where the sandwich options are disorganized on unreadable signs, the counterperson wants your answer NOW, but mostly tells you what they don't have. This is the deli of my nightmares. I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich, but was told they didn't have butter. OK, a panini, then. They point me to a chalkboard list of paninis, I say I don't feel like eating meat, but Margherita sounds safe. What I got was a panini, with red peppers and onions, a tiny quantity of dry mozzarella and many slices of some kind of sausage. Well, my dogs enjoyed the sausage, but I won't return. Also, the plethora of tinctures and CBD offerings made me uncomfortable. I prefer not to be marketed snake oil with my food.

Not the way it used to be. The sandwiches used to be full of meat and cheese. Now they give you about 4 slices of meat and one slice of cheese. It's an all bread sandwich. No bag or napkin. You will need to ask them to slice it. Better options available.

"Italy's Best" is one of the greatest sandwiches in CT!

I can't even tell you I've had a sandwich from there what I can say is they have an amazing wellness menu. I get the inflammation killer and it's done miracles. A random person I met while changing my wife's tires in the waterbury costco told me about this place crazy how life is

This is one of the best deli sandwiches I've had in quite some time. The bread is perfect bite through, the meats and cheeses are amazing, produce on top is just right. No kidding the perfect deli sandwich. Great price, friendly folks, I'm happy AF right now.

"Will you come with me?Won't you come with me?Come hear Uncle John's Band"(Grateful Dead)We picked up two sandwiches on a hard roll for lunch a few days ago. There's a small menu board up on the wall behind the counter that is pretty hard to read, we had better luck reading the hand written paper signs taped to the showcase. A Ham and Cheese and an Italy's Best (Genoa salami, Proscuitto, Cappicola, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, roasted red peppers, hot cherry peppers, and oil and vinegar) were $8.50 each. As we waited for the sandwiches to be prepared I, walked around the store and checked out the aisles of canned goods, and groceries. We also saw a small freezer with raviolis, gnocchis and sausagesMy Italy's best was pretty good -great flavor with an average portion size of meats.Customer service was odd - neither sandwich was cut in half and I don't think I've ever had a sandwich on a hard roll that wasn't cut in half. We popped some cash into the tip jar and that was met with either silence or indifference, and that always grinds my gears.

I used to come here years ago when I was out this way, oh boy has it changed! Almost seems like you're a burden to be in there like they are aggravated that they have to be there and take your order. Twice within a week I got browning soggy lettuce on my grinder, after the first time I figured maybe they just didn't notice but it's become clear they just don't care. Sadly I used to tell everyone to stop here and can I say that will no longer be the case.

John's is so good, used to come here in highschool too. The Italy's best grinder is my go to and it never disappoints.

Thank you for my microwaved chicken, my still cold cheese, and my mushy lettuce and soggy grinder roll. Also thank you for being incredibly customer service friendly when we called to complain.

Picked up a deli sandwich for my daughter and I had a chef's salad. Was eating my salad and nothing like finding a piece of hair in your salad that was blonde. Chef's salad went right in the trash!.Being I'm a brunette it sure wasn't mine.
