High quality and taste, and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting. What made it more special was the generosity and hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, treating us like family and making sure every detail was taken care of. “This small town either gets a place that thinks their gonna rule the world and putter out in 3 months, or they get a lasting addition that warmly welcomed into the community. This seems, and is hopefully, the latter of the two. The guy that was working the counter was patient, professional, and welcoming. He accommodated customers who had no idea how or what to order with that type of food, and adjusted flawlessly to those of us that have traveled and know what we like. I really appreciated this place, a chain that doesn't feel like a chain. Great experience.”

“Love Toby’s combo with rotisserie chicken, four sides, and a 2L soda! There are so many great side options, making it easy to choose something for everyone. We always go with two chaufa rice, one sweet plantains, and one tostones. Everything is consistently fresh and hot. The portions are generous enough to feed our family of four (including two teenage boys) with plenty of leftovers. Staff is always pleasant and helpful.
In a town where it seems like only pizza, Italian, or Greek food thrives, this is such a nice change! Switch it up a little, Winsted, and give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!”

“July 2026 - A locals favorite, McGrane's has been a consistent casual eatery for many years. One of my family members has eaten breakfast here since high school. He almost always gets their French toast. Texas style. Taking him somewhere the other day early in the morning, I thought why don't I finally give it a try since I review food? He agreed. I'm glad I did.

Serving breakfast all day, they have a lunch menu, too, with burgers, salads, and starters, plus a few veggie options. (See my photos) You have to park on either side of the street, but finding a spot isn't hard. There are counter seats, tables and booths.

Our waitress asked if we needed a menu, which told me how regular the majority of their customers are in that they don't even need one.

The stackable combo I ordered with 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 pieces of French toast and coffee, hit the spot. Our other order was a small orange juice and Texas toast. (I shared one of my links and brought one slice of French toast home to another family member.)

Very good. Casual. Largest table seats six. No credit or debit cards. Cash or checks only. ATM on the premises. No alcohol. Open M-Thursday: 6:30am - 8pm. F & S: 6:30 - 8:30. Sunday: 7 - 2.”

“So happy this opened in Winsted. The food was ready within 10 minutes and was made so well. I’ve had other dominoes locations barely put any sauce and toppings on the pizza, this location did a great job!”

“Good quality food. I liked how they offer both vegetarian and meat egg rolls and dumplings. I liked how the tofu was cooked and it tasted really good. The chicken dishes also satisfied the others at the table. Nice quality vegetables were used in the lo mein. Will come again. Great to have a reliable Chinese restaurant in the local area.”
