“Stopped in for a quick burger saw a couple people I know didn't want to put ketchup on them because then you can't taste the burger had some sweet potato flies! Missed Tom.”
“It's a Subway. Standard fare, but I can say in their favor that they always get my order correct when I order through the app and it's always ready at the time it says it will be ready. Stop the car right in front, grab my order off the shelf, and I'm out. Easy peasy which is exactly what a fast food place is supposed to be.”
“The steak was delicious! Not a lot of places do nearly as good a job with their steaks. Serious bonus points for that. The potatoes were hardly warm, tho. Also, the glasses weren't entirely clean. Terribly disappointing.Beautiful atmosphere, love the vibe!”
“As a personal trainer and health conscious I absolutely love this place. It’s. Nice treat right after a killer workout ?️. The cupcakes and mini donuts are out of this world. Wish you had. Place in Wethersfield or newington as I am transferring to healthtrax in newington ?Thank you to cupcake fairy for introducing your cupcakes ? I hardly have sweets, so when I do, I look forward to your cupcakes ”
“The first time we tried to go there, everything was sold out, so they closed early. The second time, I made sure to order ahead prior to pick up. The place was so cute with a sit in area that had your typical cafe vibes. I was surprised there were items left when I went to pick up my order the next morning (Friday) at 11 am. Everything in the showcase looked mouthwatering. I admittedly plan to try everything haha. They sell French and southern inspired pastries. The story of their family immigrating from Laos to the US was similar to my family from Cambodia. It's inspiring to see them become successful! The prices were high but the products were quality; I think it's worth it.I ordered an iced chai latte to go as well; this drink was good. I'm looking forward to trying their hand crafted lemonades next time. The showstoppers were the pastries. I ordered the cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissant, Southern sticky pecan buns, and egg in a hole. The egg in the hole was amazing. I was only planning to take a bite since I already ate my lunch. I couldn't stop and ended up finishing it. It has egg, cheese, chives, and chopped ham/bacon in a croissant. The sticky pecan bun was buttery and sweet; the candied pecans had a sugary crunch to it; the most amazing sticky bun I've ever tasted. My husband had the cinnamon bun and said 10/10. Pro tip: put in microwave for 5-10 seconds, even better. In conclusion, I will be back sooner rather than later!”
“I would have given it 4.5 stars if there were half stars. It's clean, and has local honey, and their ice cream in containers, for sale. The ice cream cones are good, but my ice cream was not entirely smooth, like it was freezer burned or maybe had been warmer from a power problem or something, and then refrozen. The animals are fun to see and feed, and seem well cared for. And the animal part is free. There is a small, and I mean small, playground there for little kids, but it won't hold their interest for too long. A couple of big tractor tires and some sand. But, you don't go there for that, so it's ok.You will have a nice drive out there, especially in the fall, and it's a good experience for the kids, for the money. The ice creams have homemade waffle cones, and in the past, the ice cream was smooth and creamy. (Maybe ask for a sample to see if the flavor you want has ice crystals in it.)A good trip with little kids.”
“We had a group of 7 and opted for the table wide chefs 5 course tasting menu. It was excellent... A bit pricy at $85/head, but definitely uniquely flavorful and deliberately paired. An additional $50 or so gives you a wine pairing with each course as well. Definitely would try it again as the menu is ever changing and evolving with the seasons.”
“Lovely bakery with lots of fresh baked options. I went in for my first time today and got almond croissant, cinnamon buns and the fococia and they were all delicious! They make breakfast sandwiches and other savory items as well. I will definitely be coming back!”
“This was an unexpected post hike treats. The food was really fresh and delicious and their bread that they bake there is delightful. I had a Benedict on sweet potatoes. Yum ?”
“New experience, it's great pouring yourself a beer or make your own tasting, great variety of beers, some wine and hard ciders, good service, the food looks good, I didn't try the food.”
“Nice little spot. Very nice people. Wait staff checked on us multiple times. Food is Good ! Pretty reasonable prices. Will definitely go back again. Steak tips cooked perfect. Slá”
“A legend in our town. Delicious “old school” Ice Cream, service, and a grassroots farm that allows walking trails throughout. Literally a treasure and well worth an excursion to find if you have not.”
“We Went in for Valentine’s Day dinner. It Very busy, full of customers. We had the shrimp for appetiser, dinner was Basil Duck (which was fabulous, definitely would order this again!) and Chicken/coconut Curry (also very yummy) We had a delicious dessert of homemade chocolate mousse which was perfect! Reasonable prices for as much food as they serve! Very nice staff and we had an excellent meal and servers and staff were very wonderful and made the experience great!! A gem hiding in plain sight here in Canton!”
“This place was amazing. I loved the atmosphere, the decor and the service was wonderful. I absolutely adore that they have a smoothie for your dog as well. The options are so vast, there is definitely something here for everyone. I love the different milk options and fresh additions you can add to your smoothie. Local products used. Absolutely amazing! Peace, Love, Smoothies!”
“Best spot I ever had unbelievable food and great friendly people to talk to I would give this a 10 star if I could I definitely recommend this spot price is very ”
“I enjoy coming to Beanz for a scone and latte whenever I’m driving by with my mom. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing in this store, but the seating is very tight. It’s always packed when I stop in.Dietary restrictions: So many gluten free options!!”
“My technician and I stopped here for lunch today. Delicious (and quick) fresh made breakfast sandwiches at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be stopping back when we're in the area.”
“Wonderful people who've built a great sense of community, but most of all, who brew consistently extraordinarily terrific beer. Stouts, Belgian ales, lagers, Kolsches, IPAs, DIPAs, sours, hard seltzers, and more. Honestly, I've *never* had a bad glass of beer at Brewery Legitimus.”
“Small little place with a nice atmosphere and good drinks/ food. The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant was massive (think 2-3x Dunkin size) and my Spanish latte was excellent.”
“Very nice ambience with live music, 2 floors which are very spacious. They have snacks you can buy such as cartoucherie boards and also have a food truck outside. In the warmer weather you can sit outside.”
“Food was exceptional! Octopus and Tuna Tartare appetizers delicious as were my scallop entree and my husband said the Branzino was best he has ever had. Highly recommend.”
“Icecream flavors were fun and the scoop size is very generous. We had the black raspberry and charcoal flavors.Wonderful ambience. We went in December and so the decoration was holiday themed, but even otherwise I think the space lends to a relaxing atmosphere.Parking: Parking behind the buildingKid-friendliness: Plenty room for kids to sit around”
“We had a wonderful meal last night at Avon Indian Grill. They were very patient with our talkative group of seven, explaining foods and spice levels. After a slight delay in the kitchen, we were brought two extra appetizers that the owner wanted us to try. And later, two desserts were brought out as well. All of the food was delicious, and everyone was able to take some home as well. The staff even played a joke on us! A great time. We honestly don’t understand why it isn’t busier. Please try it out!”
“Great tasting bowls and low on calories. Whenever I have some free time in the week I drive up to simsbury and have a bowl. If you are looking for something new to try, definitely give this a chance!”
“You just simply can’t find better cupcakes in CT. This goes double for their gluten free cupcakes! Worth the long drive.. can’t wait for them to open the West Hartford location!”
“My friend and I stumbled upon this culinary delight and were incredibly pleased. The food and service were outstanding - my scallops (and everything else) were cooked perfectly. It is BYOB with a liquor store very conveniently next door. It is a small interior, so definitely recommend making reservations for a large party. We can't wait to return.”
“I went in today after driving by the place a couple times and had a great chat with the owner. As someone who works at another local coffee shop, they have an awesome setup and really care about their employees, as well as a great knowledge of the coffee industry. I tried the matcha which was really good! I'm definitely coming back soon.”
“????? Celebrating our daughter Gigi’s birthday, my wife and I ventured to Pop Over Eatery in Simsbury, CT, for a breakfast that was beyond our wildest dreams. As a professional chef, I was thrilled to discover a popover (also known as Yorkshire pudding) on the menu—a rare find that instantly caught my attention. The food was nothing short of fantastic, each dish prepared with such care and flavor that left us wanting more. From the sumptuous Belgian waffle to the variety of vegan options, every bite was a delight. What made our visit even more special was Sarah, the owner, who personally came over to ensure we were enjoying our meal, adding a touch of warmth and hospitality that truly made us feel at home. Pop Over Eatery is a gem in Simsbury, offering not just incredible food but also a welcoming atmosphere where every guest is treated like family. I wholeheartedly recommend this eatery to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Hats off to Sarah and her team for making our daughter’s birthday breakfast unforgettable! ???”
“This place was on my list to check out since moving here. Pastry chef Kim Wood creates masterpieces that has Vietnamese and French influences. The ingredients were fresh, locally sourced, and organic. This was located in what looked like a house converted into a bake shop in a plaza. The place was very cute, had a couple of tables, and even a toy bakery stand for my toddler to play with. Everyone there was so nice and friendly there.I ordered a bunch of items; snickerdoodle cookie, chocolate croissants, banh truffles, mini chocolate waffle, and a Vietnamese iced coffee (yes, I shared it with my husband haha). The desserts I've tried were not too sweet, which I love, and delicious. The coffee was strong and tasty. The snickerdoodle cookie was lightly crispy outside and moist on the inside. The waffle had a lightly sweet glaze on the outside and chocolate on the inside. The chocolate croissants were flakey and yummy. The show stopper were the banh truffles; it tasted like very moist cake pops inside of a chocolate truffle; it had a golden sparkle to it too. All in all, I'm happy to have checked this place out and glad that it's close to me since I will for sure be frequenting it.Kid-friendliness: Had toy bakery stand”
“Our favorite cozy breakfast/lunch spot. It's a typical diner with friendly staff and some classic favorites. When we go on trips we always try to make a point to come through here on our way home. (Truthfully it's also a great hangover fix) If you're on the search for a small town diner with small town charm, this is the place for you!”
