“From the jump, had a good feeling. The waitress wasted no time, we were served coffee and water fast. I got my usual, biscuit, sausage gravy, lightly scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, and wheat toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and high quality and perfect quantity - i was hungry. Deb got a bacon, fried egg, cheese, on hard roll, corn muffin grilled and buttered perfectly. She raved, very pleased. The owner spoke with us about his Yankees/ red Sox display, there's a story. “Had a great and friendly waiter, his name was Will. I had to garlic teriyaki boneless wings and the hot buttered lobster roll. Plus the chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was marvelous. The food is perfectly prepared and named after the town or Torrington, and the drinks have a unique twist to it. Pleasant staff members that welcome you with a friendly smile. “I went to Sol for the first time Friday evening. The shrimp ceviche was like a party in my mouth! It came with wonderful fried plantains that were perfectly crisp. The flavor was amazing! We got the Guac and chips for the table and the chips were served hot and crisp and the Guac was great. I ordered the chicken stir-fry as my entrée and the spices were perfect. If you are ordering from the full service menu plan to stay awhile and visit with you friends, maybe have a nice cocktail while you wait as many of the items are made from scratch and take awhile to prepare. It is worth the wait. They also have items like empanadas etc... that are ready to serve if you are in more of a hurry. Atmosphere is quaint and the servers are friendly too!“

“This is a smaller eatery with lots of character and great service. I had breakfast and ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy and 2 lightly scrambled eggs, also smothered in the sausage gravy. Ordered, blinked, and my food was served, impressive for a small eatery. Great biscuits and sausage gravy and the eggs were cooked perfect. I also ordered home fries with onions which tasted great and were also cooked to perfection, I loved seeing the onions cooked well as in, some were even burnt, the way they're supposed to be. Stop by if you get a chance, you'll feel right at home.“
