The food was off the chart delicious, from the calamari with blue cheese and hot peppers to the shrimp scampi with mushrooms and bacon. Not to mention the incredible tiramisu. Amanda was our server and was attentive all evening. We sat in the middle dining room, which was warm and cozily lit. The new owners have definitely succeeded in turning this restaurant around.“

“I stopped down here the other day after reading about the place on some reddits for having good cheesesteaks.

Boy was I not disappointed. This is easily one of the best cheesesteaks CT has to offer and I have tried many.

The fries were hot and crispy, the onions were not overbearing chopped up nicely, the meat was seasoned beautifully and everything was made fresh and hot. No bad bits or chewy bits in the steak and great flavor.

Staff was super friendly, place was clean. As soon as someone gets up they clean it.

Very affordable. Really nothing to gripe about. This place is awesome! Cant wait to go back for more.“

The cupcake was really moist and beautiful, the buttercream very creamy, and tasty all-in-all, though very sugary! I would recommend this place for the excellent bagels and kind service, and the cupcakes for the ones with a sweet tooth. Maybe an idea for the future to have some sweet products that don't pack quite as much sugar, but I'm definitely coming back for another bagel!“

“We have been to Uncommon many times and the food is always amazing and we have always had a great experience all around but I want to say we had the absolute best service here tonight so I wanted to thank our server Justin D. for an outstanding dining experience tonight. Justin was professional and has a really fun personality. Even though the restaurant was crazy busy we never had to ask for anything, Justin was just there anytime we needed anything. After accidentally liking the Facebook page for this restaurant rather than a similarly named one in my town, I’ve spent the last few months looking at the posts and thinking I have to visit this place. The opportunity came to bring someone special there for his birthday and it was just amazing. Having eaten probably thousands of meals in restaurants I can tell you that I met the best server ever - Suzy. She was attentive without being intrusive, personable without being over the top and she has an amazing sense of humor. The food was outstanding as well which rounded out a perfect evening! “The BEST breakfast I have had in this area. My husband and I like to dine at the “mom & pop”, where the locals eat restaurants when we travel. I flew here to bring my grandson back home after his spring break. I was looking for some real breakfast and Monteiro’s hit the spot. Even the coffee tasted great. The atmosphere made you feel at home. I met the owner/cook and enjoyed hearing about the history of the restaurant. The waitress was very attentive and we had great conversation, also.“

“Outstanding restaurant! (and we do a lot of our dining in NYC!) Local 63 is an oasis in Watertown, CT in a variety of ways. The food is creative (even when the dish SOUNDS traditional). The chicken fried steak (hard to even find in New England) is outstanding. The salads were awesome: perfectly dressed with great crunch and freshness. The Cassoulet (originally a French farmhouse dish) with chicken, in-house sausage, and white beans cooked to perfection is something you will not find in many other places. Great bar--friendly atmosphere and great for large groups and celebrations. This is a hidden gem with excellent service and owners who obviously care! I will go back and bring many other guests here when I have a chance.“

“We had a wonderful experience at George’s today. At a party of 6 adults, and 2 toddlers, we were very happy to sit down soon after arriving. The loaded fries are absolutely divine I cannot get enough of them and I believe it's called sweet asian tenders forgive me if I am wrong my fiance orders 2 plates of them he really wants the recipe lol.
When we go now we always bring a group of people and our family who lives down south tells us every time they visit we all have to go to Sawyer's.
