“I was definitely very surprised by JDT's on Main. From the outside, no offense, it looks plain and dated. There is plenty of parking though, so plus! But inside, it looks welcoming and so clean. There are wooden booths along the walls, with table and chairs in the center. The wall decor is homey and in sections, obviously done with fresh chalk. There's a lot of natural light from the big windows in front, and you get a nice view of the church and ... Well, traffic. The restrooms are single rooms, but also very clean and well attended. The food was delicious. My burger was cooked over medium, as requested, and juicy without being messy. The fries were crispy but in no way overcooked. Our waitress was also very kind - she checked in several times but was in no way overwhelming.“
“I hardly never write reviews but this was my 1st time going here. We were celebrating my birthday and we had such a great experience. The food was so delicious. The prices were decent. The waitress was friendly. The inside was clean and nice looking. We would definitely recommend trying and we will be back. We had chicken and waffles and onion rings.“
“3 for breakfast on this day. Very nice patio, closed because of time of year. Inside is a typical small breakfast room. Two TVs on with news. We were greeted and treated very well. One plate was a typical scrambled eggs, potatoes and white toast. Wasn't mine but heard it was good. The toast was a thick bread, buttered and toasted well. The potatoes were fresh cut and grilled with onions and spices. Another plate was Huevos Rancheros. The menu has quite a bit of Mexican flavor to it, and it being one of my wife's favorite breakfast to eat out, we thought it was a safe bet. Not the case unfortunately. Partly our fault and partly because the waitress didn't ask, the eggs were over easy and runny eggs are a no-no for her, so it sort of ruined the whole dish. The rest of it was just so-so and quite sparse-no avocado, no salsa or pico and just a small side of re-fried black beans. I had the Protein Bowl special. The only thing wrong with it was that it didn't come in a bowl! This made it a bit more difficult to mix up, but the combination of black beans, quinoa, avocado, fresh pico and two eggs over easy were quite delicious, especially the freshly made pico. The desserts all looked so good but we decided on the mixed berry scone. It's not a scone (meaning it's not dry) but it was very good. Definitely worth another try, likely when the weather is nice again and we can sit outside!“
“This is the most wonderful place. We were on an Adventure and needed sustenance and happened to see it. But it was so wonderful I could imagine making the diner the destination. In fact, I wish I could hop over right now for the soursop batido, which I got without milk and was super refreshing on a very hot day. Whether you want Greek, Ecuadoran, or American cuisine, you will find an extensive array of tasty, large-portioned meals at remarkable prices and a very friendly family to assist you.Hurray for Thomaston Family Diner!“
“We had dinner here today and although there was a small mistake on their part, they continued to check on us, and the owner came out and apologized in person multiple times. Customer service was excellent and the food was also very delicious. We will 100% return again and they had the best food quality and customer service of any restaurant we have recently visited.“
“We recently had a memorial event at Fairview that was outstanding. The menu prepared by Keith LaManna was great, as was the service from the staff - particularly Dawn. We would highly recommend Fairview for any event.Mark & Rita Greene“
“I love going here with my family several times. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very nice and staff is very kind and friendly.I also love the artwork and carvings throughout the restaurant.I would love to see them close on Sunday orMonday, so the restaurant and all of the people can get a rest as they are working very hard. Can’t wait to go back.“
“My husband and I love stopping in here for an occassional weekend breakfast/brunch. Staff are very friendly and make us feel at home. There are so many wonderful options for meals or small items, and the portions are a pretty good size! I always leave here feeling full and ready to tackle the day! Oh...and my husband loves it too!“
“This is my favorite restaurant in town. I’ve been here several times for both dine-in and takeout. The food is fresh and delicious. I love that they use local ingredients and I love that the takeout does not include plastic containers, plastic cutlery, or plastic bags. I also like that the menu changes up from time to time. Staff are always friendly and professional. Thank you for providing such a great dining option in Watertown.“
“First time, but it won't be the last. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We showed up without reservations, and the staff was very accommodating. We sat at the bar where Dave and the rest of the staff were very friendly and entertaining, especially with their banter.“
“The shredded hash browns were incredible!Vegetarian options: Avocados, hash browns, Toast, home fries, potatoesParking: Parking is within walking distance and free.Kid-friendliness: Booths to accommodate entire family.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp that leads into diner,“
“This is a fantastic bar with the BEST wings around!! The service was phenomenal and such a laid back friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and even better service.Parking: Parking is free in the parking lot directly across the street“
“I have eaten at The Meating Place many times always so delicious from the steak sandwich, fish sandwich, fried dough, hot dogs, sweet potato, regular fries and onion rings and for the cold weather delicous soups and they even had beef stew! They have specials too!! Well worth stopping and grabbing a meal to take home and in nice weather they have picnic tables to sit at and relax and enjoy this delicious comforting food!“
“I just picked up our two Caesar Salads and brought back to our home as my wife was tired. Why would you buy them from some haute Cuisine place like the West Street Grill? Well, they are simply the best cuisine in Litchfield - even for a simple take out salad. Very nicely prepared with Parmesan in its own container and a rich Caesar dressing as well. While I was waiting I looked around at the people dining in a very relaxed atmosphere with nice Jazz music playing. I thought that we should have come here for dinner instead (as we have many times before) and had a treat dining out. You won't regret your visit here.“
“Yo this place is the TRUTH. So much good food for the prices. The way Mexican should be served…just moved here and it’s right down the street from my new apartment…needless to say I will be frequenting this location much more…5/5 if you want Mexican takeout in Waterbury this is it…“
“Kens grill is a solid place to get breakfast/lunch for work. Love their burgers!Parking: Lot of spots. Park in the bridge community church and look for the truck with the food grill.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not in a wheelchair so this is just speculating. Might be tough to get the food from the window of the food truck, but if ken/someone helps you it shouldn't be a problem. It's outdoor in a parking lot with lots of open space, you'll have an easy time navigating around.“
“Listen hear I don’t even leave reviews but this spot right here I just went for the 1st time I spent 85$ and omg everything was great the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had on the East Coast? and the homemade blue raspberry and strawberry omg plus the banana pudding IM ON MY WAY SLEEP NOW LOL JUST HAD TO LEAVE THIS POST HERE!!!!!“
“Manager very very nice ! Staff friendly place is super clean. Good food milkshakes were good . Chicken gave me a chick filet vibe . Only thing I didn’t like is the hun should have been buttery and toasted also had to ask for extra cheese n bacon on fries it came very “
“While in the area, we were hungry for breakfast and decided to give Jimmy’s a try. Loved the no frills, hometown diner vibe right away. They had everything you could want for breakfast on the menu. They did a great job on the poached eggs, and the bacon was nice and crispy. Our one critique would be that the corned beef hash didn’t seem homemade. The food came out quickly and our waitress was attentive. I would definitely come back!“
“I will start by saying that 4 stars is being just a tiny bit generous. My meal was more like a 3.5. First - it's cash only so keep that in mind prior to stopping in. I went in alone - I was shopping in the area but not from town. Rachel's had pretty great reviews and I was really excited about it. Even though it was lunchtime - I decided on the Irish Benny. I looked at the menu for a while. There was nothing truly inspiring on it. I was tossing and turning trying to decide - I was a bit nervous ordering the hash because it didn't say 'homemade' on the menu. I finally asked and was sold on the Irish Benny when I found out the hash wasn't coming out of the can (not that I don't love that from time to time). It was served with a rather small (but fine for me!) serving of home fries. I did ask for them well done but many of them can out burnt. The bread that the Benny was served on was too thick. It was super tough to cut through. I believe it was grilled on the griddle and was overcharrred leaving it with an odd taste. The eggs on top may have been poached but there was barely a runny yolk so it was hard to tell. There was too little hollandaise. Overall - it was all just a bit flat for me. The do squeeze their own lemonade which was refreshing and delicious! The vibe is cute - rustic and cozy. My waiter was nice - attentive and engaging without over doing it.“
“5 stars? I'm not sure because it's hard to judge by an egg sandwich but it was very good and my wife's breakfast was too. We didn't have time to sit so got it to go and decided that we have to make time to go back and eat there. We'll see you again soon!“
“The service was fast and friendly. The food was prepared very well. Fish and chips were light and crunchy, very tasty. If you like it hot, the jerk chicken was a flavor bomb. Only issue is both plates were missing the cole slaw. Definitely worth checking it out.“
“One of my absolute favorite local restaurant / bars. Erica and Seth are top notch at customer service and their respective roles. The bar and specials menu is always interesting, and as the one restaurant with a full bar in Harwinton I can’t recommend Edison Grill enough!Parking: Dozens of parking spots in the private lotKid-friendliness: Has a great kids menu and friendly atmosphere“
“Great food and great service. A special treat was having Angelo the owner come over and visit our table. That type of personal attention just doesn't happen anymore. We were so impressed with everything that we made it a point to eat there again the next day. This place is a treasure.“
“I have been to Philadelphia and back. I like to rate food sometimes. And by gosh this is one of the best steak and cheeses I’ve ever freaking had. So much steak great prices. Friendly, friendly owners, and staff highly highly recommend. Hidden gem. Hope you will read this :-) I also want to mention Ana… she should be running the place. Top freaking amazing service, so polite and so thoughtful.“
“We had an incredible stay at Winvian! We were in the Beaver Cottage which was a rustic but luxurious cabin. We enjoyed the food at Maggie's Tavern, Winvian Farm Restaurant and participated in a stained glass making class and had s'mores after dinner one night. Their spa services are top notch and have couples massages in a room with a fireplace and champagne afterwards. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful with Anthony, Christina, and Rachel being particular standouts. We look forward to returning!“
“We were at the flea market nearby and went for lunch because it was so close. Located in a strip mall, it’s was a cozy, informal, little restaurant with booths and some tables. Service was prompt and courteous, menu had all the classics and nice, simple dinners and black board specials. We had cheeseburger deluxe and pastrami melt. The fries were so good, steak fries that cooked to a deep golden brown. Perfect crunch for the outside, soft and mashed potato like inside. It’s been a while since I had fries that good!!! Burger was hefty, cooked to perfection and juicy. Pastrami melt was tender, with very thinly sliced sauté onions, grilled well on rye. Coleslaw was very good, not too saucy, not to dry. Ice tea was very good.Saw others selections, pot roast with gravy looked so good and a grilled chicken salad that was enormous!Prices were great for the quality and portion sizes. Can’t wait to go back again.“
“So despite the name, Big Daddys does have eat-in service, and also appears to be part of a gas station? The location is a bit off the beaten path, but plenty of parking. I found a certificate on Restaurants.com for the pizzeria, and it was a good deal. Lunch and dinner at a discount! The burgers were pretty large, as were the fries if you ordered them as a side. The pizza had more of a tomato-acidy sauce than sweet, but a good amount of cheese. You could order by the slice inside. There is also ice cream, onion rings in the hot food area, and baked goods wrapped for desserts. There's both Coke and Pepsi in the coolers, and chips behind the window side booths. They also have a bar area and sell on Slice! Big Daddys also does local delivery on certain days in the evening. Goodness, there's a lot going on. Plus, a good flow of pick up orders. The gentlemen at the register seemed to have a good handle on things though.“
“Back in December 2022 I had my baby shower at East Street Eatery, and it was amazing. The food, the service the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. So perfect I came back to have my daughter’s first birthday party in 2/2024, and once again it was amazing. The service was impeccable, we had Nancy running our room and she was phenomenal. Gina, the manager is so attentive and was there to answer all my questions throughout the whole planning process. The food was so good, all my guests talked about how good it was. The price is so reasonable, for what you get. And we actually left with leftovers! Highly recommend for any occasion!“
“Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and patrons. Food is a notch up from usual bar/tavern fare as orders are prepared individually on a grill behind the bar. Have had numerous burgers and they are quite juicy while prepared as ordered. Fries are crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. My wife says the crispy chicken sandwich is the best she's ever had! Oh, the beer selection is adequate and cold. What more do you want? Torrington's version of CHEERS!“
“Since I work nearby, Rozzi’s is a solid option for my coworkers and I when we’re craving a good breakfast or lunch! On this last visit we really enjoyed the Asian salad special and the bbq chicken melt. Their decadent desserts are always fun to get for a treat too! A great hometown diner feel with friendly staff!“
