“I ordered a filled bagel and a cupcake. The service was very friendly and warm, and quick though there was quite a queue. The bagel was excellent, great taste, with a small side salad. The cupcake was really moist and beautiful, the buttercream very creamy, and tasty all-in-all, though very sugary! I would recommend this place for the excellent bagels and kind service, and the cupcakes for the ones with a sweet tooth. Maybe an idea for the future to have some sweet products that don't pack quite as much sugar, but I'm definitely coming back for another bagel!“

“I hosted my husband’s surprise birthday party in the banquet room. We had over 50 people. It was a great night. The space was perfect, the food and service were awesome! “We absolutely love this place! We have been twice. The second time was this week with my sister (visiting from England). They were very busy but got us seated fairly quickly. The manager asked if we were from England. We then realized that once we were seated, they were playing British hits over the speakers. It was such an awesome touch for us! The food was incredible. The cheese dip with the pretzel sticks is amazing. My sister thoroughly enjoyed the short rib grilled cheese, and the fish (fish and chips) was as close to home as we've gotten over here. I had the portobello wrap, which was delicious. They make a very yummy kids pudding as well, which our daughter loved. We will be back in the near future. “Stopped in on a whim. There were several CT brews on tap, always a good sign. Had the fish and chips (good) but the real standout was the flatbread with Alfredo, clams, bacon, and potatoes. Spouse called it a clam chowder flatbread, and it was amazing, creative and delicious. Loved the chalk drawings at the bar. We'll be back!“

“This place is for sure a hidden gem...A small little mom & pop place that has been around a long time...They are open for breakfast & lunch...6a-2p mon-saturday & 6a-1p on Sunday. I had a grilled ham cheese and tomato and a cup of tomato soup...it was maybe 8 bucks and delicious...a value meal from McDonald's costs more...idk how they keep everything so affordable, but im glad they do...Give them a try...help keep this place going...“

“My husband and I first time here tonight. I’m from Brazil and my Husband is American and wanted to try an authentic Brazilian pizza. He got the calabresa( Brazilian style sausage) without onions and I got the frango com catupiry ( chicken) we got a large and made it half each flavor. It was delicious and very authentic Brazilian style. Very nice people as well helped us with the recommendation. My husband and I will definitely be back. I do believe they deliver as well.

My son, Richard, enjoys eating at Gayles more than any other restaurant because of how we are treated there, and because he says they have the best burgers, turkey clubs, and milkshakes around!!!!“

On A Positive Note: Great service and fresh hot food.

I dined outside, for lunch, as part of a MeetUp group. This was my second time here. Today, I ordered fried shrimp, fries and coleslaw. The shrimp was tasty, lightly battered, and cooked just right. However, the fries were just ok and the coleslaw was tiny and rather dry. For $24 I would prefer the option of a side salad over fries.

The Verdict: A nice atmosphere and decent food.

“I was given a Groupon as a gift to go here and was pleasantly pleased! Our waitress was so attentive and everything form the Bread (with soft butter! I hate when it is still hard it was perfect!) the salad was very fresh and we both chose the Chicken Cacciatore which was so good! The place is cute and very clean! We look forward to go back and try something else! I saw the Nachos on someone else's table and they looked really good!!! Thank You!!!!“

“Have not tried anything other than pizza yet at Teddy B’s, but the pizza is very good! Every time we have had, it we’ve enjoyed it very much. It’s also worked out very well for a large group being able to put tables together and having the big booth.“

“Outstanding restaurant! (and we do a lot of our dining in NYC!) Local 63 is an oasis in Watertown, CT in a variety of ways. The food is creative (even when the dish SOUNDS traditional). The chicken fried steak (hard to even find in New England) is outstanding. The salads were awesome: perfectly dressed with great crunch and freshness. The Cassoulet (originally a French farmhouse dish) with chicken, in-house sausage, and white beans cooked to perfection is something you will not find in many other places. Great bar--friendly atmosphere and great for large groups and celebrations. This is a hidden gem with excellent service and owners who obviously care! I will go back and bring many other guests here when I have a chance.“
