The food is ok, I am not a beer drinker so I ordered a margarita. It was all syrup, if it had any tequila at all I couldn't taste it. I had to send it back after two sips, telling the waitress what was the issue and asked if they could remake it with less syrup then decided bto just get a raspberry mixed drink from the menu instead. The waitress returned telling me that the bartender said to tell me the raspberry drink had more syrup in it then the margarita. I kinda just stared at her for a minute, again so would you just use less syrup? Now margarita is my drink of choice when out with the ladies and it has happened before that it was on the the heavy syrup side and when I have brought it to the the waiter or bartenders attention they usely remake the drink with less syrup not a big deal, or so I thought. That seemed to not be an option for some reason. So with the waitress waiting for me to figure out a solution, one of my friends had gotten a total different mixed drink. So I quickly sipped her's and found I could actually taste some alcohol so I just ordered that. I know that places minimize alcohol in mixed drink to make money, but the bartender was too heavy on the syrup and seemed pissed that I sent it back and ordered something else, instead of just remaking the drink. That has never happened to me before. The waitress was very nice and like I said the food was ok. I only had my one drink that was my third choice and not really my choice, lol. Won't be returning here. We will be having ladies night else where.
* Response update* We were there on 3/7. Not sure what to tell you about the drink tasting mostly like syrup but if you ever had mountain dew (yuck, lol) that what it tasted like to me. It might have been a fluke thing but I don't understand why the drink wasn't just remade if that was the case? Sorry I didn't know how to respond so I just updated my review.
Poor communication on website about live events. Wanted to see a band tonight and went on the event site a week in advance but only sold tables for 4 or more and there was only 2 of us. Also said on the event site that tickets could be purchased at the door. Drove a galf hour to get turned away at the door... unless you have a reservation. Never going back there again. Taking my business elsewhere.
I had been a few times before and loved the beer and food. Decided to meet some friends for my birthday. Got there and every table was “reserved”, but no one was in the bar. I was also told there was a $20 per person cover charge for a band with 34 monthly listeners on Spotify. Pretty ridiculous standards for a brewery without clear notifications online. It’s a shame, but we ended up at the Tavern down the road with our party of six to salvage the night
Food is alright, beers are pretty good but the prices need a reality check, I understand inflation but 10$ a beer is tough to stomach. No wonder younger crowds don't go out anymore like they used to.
Also whenever there is a band pretty much every table is reserved ahead of time, tad annoying
Tonight, my sister in law and brother in law, ended up hearing about the Zoo Band and decided to stop by to listen to their music. The bouncer/ door man would not even let us in. He was horrible to us and everyone else in line. We will never come here again. Hire better people. This definitely ruined our night.
We have tried the majority of brewery in CT! At Woodbury brews the beers weren't in my top 10 but their food and atmosphere made up for it. The bathroom was very clean. We have gone twice and both times have had a live band so the place was packed. Would recommend to offer more sour beers.
super cozy place to eat or drink, bands play here and it had an amazing vibe. food is tasty.
Went for dinner, a live band was setting up, nice staff and friendly patrons. Would like to go back and try again. We ordered seafood that was fine but we'd like to try some other dishes that would probably be better. Apple fritters were great, loved the atmosphere, a fun date night spot. Music was a little loud for us but everyone was having a good time. Worth going to.
We can not thank the staff of the Woodbury brewery enough for their kindness to us. We were stranded with a dead battery and AAA got responding for 2 hours. The staff went above and beyond to help two senior citizens without being asked. We are so grateful to you.
Great space, large with a stage. Beers were fine, nothing I would rush back for. Unfortunately kitchen was closed the day we visited so didn’t get to taste the food.

Great atmosphere with a good bar to band stage setup. I would like to come back here one night to see what the nightlife atmosphere is all about, cause it looked appealing. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff were all attentive and personable, including the chef. The burger was good (although it's called a smash burger but isn't really a smash burger, just a regular burger) and the fries are a unique type of steak/curly fry. The chicken bites were good, but the portion isn't very large, and the hot honey sauce was described as the hottest available on the menu, but was not hot at all, although the flavor was incredible. Overall, the food was good, and I would come back to try some other menu items next time. I couldn't get a beer while there, but I wanted to, as there seemed to be a lot of good craft beer options as well.
My wife and I stop in here nearly every week for a date night and always have a good time. The staff is consistently friendly and the beer never disappoints. The new food menu is awesome with lots of reasonably priced options and specials every day! We got the fried pickles and cheese curds apps and both were solid.
Highly recommend for a great night out!
Spacious outdoor area and nice band stage setup. Seemed a little dark inside at 7pm but that must be the vibe. Great beer selection and plenty of food choices. Glad to be close by.
When we heard that Woodbury Brewing Company had a talented new chef, Jonathan Lane, of Mischief on Main, my husband and I knew we would give it a try. We really savored our dinner. The atmosphere and service--thank you, Alex--was cheerful and relaxed, and the food was mouthwatering. We ordered a nice dark lager and enjoyed moist clam fritters with horseradish creme. My goodness, it brought me back to summers on the Sound. Then we sampled Caribbean Jerk flavor fried tofu, which was crispy, creamy and tasty, and a Fisherman's Platter, that had some really fresh battered fish and seasoned fries that I could become obsessed with. Wednesday is Trivia Night, and there is live entertainment. Check out their schedule of events. We will definitely be returning customers!
Alright spot, food was a bit meh but the trivia night is fun here.
