This is the best downtown DC Chinese food I have found. Mapo Toufu really has that authentic taste here. Also their eggplant and spicy chicken dish is authentic too.

Great food, good value for money. The black bean chicken, hot and sour soup, and dry hot pepper shrimp or chicken are delicious!

Little hole in the wall that is easily accessible along 14th Street, either walking distance from the nearby hotels or off the bus lines near Logan Circle and 14th St.Although there is a dining area they only do take out now. There is one chair to wait for your food, but it's easy to just wait outside for the 10 minutes it takes to make the dishes.Really delicious, super hot, and large portions. Great selection. I got the mapo tofu, it was on the spicier side than I normally find most mapo can be, but really tasty. The garlic eggplant was really saucy. Crispy noodles were my favorite part, but not easy to eat. They put the noodles in foil and the gravy in a soup container, so heading back to a hotel meant having to come up with a makeshift boat out of the foil.Easily two days of food for less than $50 is astounding coming from Maui!

I typically order to go but dined in for the first time. The food is always consistent in quality & the value is great for their portions. The service is extremely quick & friendly.
I did takeout which is good, not exceptional. The fried dumplings were mediocre, but the shrimp w/broccoli dish I ordered good.

We ordered Sour Vegetable Fish Soup, Stir Fry Bok Choy, and Green Pepper Chicken (rice is complimentary) for three people and we were stuffed to the brim. Note there are not many space or tables around (only 3) to dine in at the restaurant. Hence we did take out instead. Great substitute for Szechuan Great Wall which unfortunately closed down a few weeks ago. This is the closest that one can come to authentic chinese food in the district. Would love to try other dishes in the future.

Amazing Chinese takeout. I don’t think there was dine-in but I ordered and paid over phone and picked it up in 10 minutes piping hot. Very vegan friendly; the mapo tofu (I made sure to ask for it vegan with no pork), dry fried Szechuan style green beans, and garlic eggplant were all authentic and flavorful and just oh so yummy!!! The mapo tofu could’ve been spicier. It didn’t numb my tongue much as it’s supposed to. They warned me it would be spicy on phone a couple of times and I assured them it was okay but maybe because I am white and sounded white they dialed it back hehe but it was scrumptious and great deal because the portions are huge and it came with tons of rice. The beautiful ladies working there are also very sweet. Can’t wait to eat my bountiful leftovers tomorrow!
Was on travel and ordered food from this cafe. Great food and service. Thank you for helping me recover my receipt, so that I can reimburse my expense.

The place is small and actually just starting to have inside dining. In a location with lots of competition. Doesn't look like much but also only 3 tables if you want to eat inside. There is a stick by the door, hmmmmm.. I ordered steam dumplings and Mongolian beef. Let's hope it is good. No fountain drinks, if you want a soda it is in a can. Dumplings are okay, not real taste to the meat. But they are good Oh, the Mongolian beef is the bomb!! Wow!! I have to say some of the best I have had in a long time.

Over cooked chicken - soggy breading. Sauce was okay… it didn’t ruin my day but I won’t go back.

This is the best takeaway Chinese I’ve tried in the Logan circle neighborhood, but it’s not a dine in establishment as there are chairs blocking the restaurant off from the front door/pickup area. A somewhat standoffish woman took my payment and handed my bag over when I came in, but that’s fine as you can order online to minimize interactions. Portions are normal sized, spot felt clean, and the food was ready really quick after ordering. My favorite general tso chicken I’ve found so far, really nice sauce not too sweet.

The restaurant is so small we nearly missed the door and there’s only 3 tables for dine in, but the staff was really sweet and this was some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. HIGHLY recommend!
