“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!”

Not too crowded on Thursdays during rush hour time.
And fun bonus: they had some Elvis Presley songs in the background that day.

The manager of the day made our experience very good and he was very kind to us . We had a big family & he checked in on us even more than the server herself! “This is a wonderful store, they have a great flower selection I picked some out for my anniversary. Tutu (forgive me if I misspelled) and Latrice were extremely helpful. Latrice helped me carry everything out to the car and was very friendly and nice. She definitely went up and above beyond the call of customer service. She helped me fit everything in a way where the flowers wouldn’t fall over in the car too. I will definitely be back!”

“They just renovated this location and installed kiosks. It's much better now because you don't have to actually give your order to a person. You just order on the kiosk. All they do is hand you your food. That works much better especially since they had people working the front counter who did not speak English.”

“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!”

“First visit and it was splendid. The food was very tasty and their mixed liquor drinks were rather unique. My only complaint is if you are only chicken or fish eater, there needs to be added grilled/seared entres of salmon, sole or chicken or similar selections. The menu, imo, isn't fully rounded out. The 1930s ambiance with period photos and memorabilia was fantastic. The decor, with a tree in the middle of the floor , high backed comfortable seats and nice chandeliers were very lovely. The bar is beautifully designed. The speak easy typed door entrance made you feel a raid was imminent. Lol! If able, choose our waiter, D, who was very affable, professional and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, its presentation and preparation, is he is degreed in hospitality management. Overall, a tremendously wonderful experience and I will be returning.”

From the moment I stepped in, Sabrina, my server, exuded warmth and professionalism. She guided me through the menu with genuine enthusiasm, recommending some of the restaurant's standout dishes. The Clyde’s burger, crafted from premium beef, surpassed my expectations in both flavor and quality. Even the New York Cheesecake was to die for! The ambiance was inviting and laid-back, providing the perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal. Without a doubt, I'll be returning to savor another culinary adventure at this wonderful establishment.”

Every dish not only tasted absolutely delicious, but looked beautiful. I had the Mediterranean lunch special, which came with a choice between two salads, two entrees, and two desserts. I wish I took photos of my dishes because they were exquisite. My coworkers won't stop talking about the bombilini so it's a must. I'm sure all of the servers are incredible, but if you can, I would highly recommend asking for Dokie. She was the cherry on top of our evening. She listened to our preferences, helped guide us through the menu and had wonderful recommendations. We ordered the following items. EDAMAME (spicy basil garlic sauce) (8/10) - Fresh, hot, tasty. The spicy basil garlic sauce was super flavorful but definitely has a bite, do not recommend unless you have a decent tolerance for spice. KYOJIN SIGNATURE BUN (8/10) - A pretty standard bao bun, which I love! The A5 made it special though, very tasty. KYOJIN HOUSE MADE GYOZA (10/10) - The combo of A5, pork and lobster made this an exception Gyoza packed with flavor. Wish it came with more than 3 - I could have eaten 3 myself! YUSUZUKURI STYLE White Fish (9/10) - This was a special and unique plate to Kyojin. You are able to pick the fish and flavor style. This was a Dokie recommendation, and was delightful! Super light, white fish that melted on your tongue and paired perfectly with the finger lime caviar, wasabi truffle, chili yuzu, white shoyu garlic ponzu, yuzu oil THE WINNER (12/10) - BEST BITE OF THE NIGHT! The eel melted on your tongue and the tuna could not have been fresher. The truffle oil, balsamic reduction, eel sauce, pink ginger sauce, black bamboo salt and red lava salt further elevated this dish. This is a MUST order and again, I thank Dokie for the recommendation! All of these rolls were recommended by Dokie. We were a bit overwhelmed by the long list of rolls, so leaned on her expertise to guide us to the best ones on the menu. She was candid with us and led us to the following 4 rolls, all of which were unique and delectable; two of which having ingredients I didn't previously enjoy (uni + scallops) but have found a new love for!”

I’m not vegan/vegetarian but thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was bursting with flavor and made with thoughtful ingredients. The cocktails were unique and delicious as well! The service was great — our server was attentive and didn’t bat an eye when I sent back my drink after it not being what I expected. The interior is stunning as well. It is pricey, but worth it for a memorable experience, especially if you are celebrating something!”
