“Such a fun experience during our trip to DC. All the items we choose were outstanding and different . It was the highlight of our rainy day .”
“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!”
“A thoughtful shared plates experience. We followed the wise recommendations of our server and were rewarded. Nice spot. Excellent yet not pretentious.”

“A great 'hole in the wall' that serves food that I wouldn't expect to find north of Dallas - genuine 'Tex-Mex' or New Mexico flavors that deliver what youre looking for if you're from the South. Generous portion sizes and quick service, along with a 'homey' atmosphere make it feel welcome, plus 2-3 TVs with sports on as well.”
“Tyvell or twin he said is a outstanding worker his is a real lil funny guy who means a lot when it come to his business, he has good skills and I really appreciate his hospitality.”
“Walking past and dropped in for dinner. Great tasting food in a good serving size. Staff extremely friendly and quick. So good we came back the next night for more. Ww tried different dishes and again simply superb meals.”
“I am visiting DC from the midwest, but I was unexpectedly welcomed home to Egypt for lunch in Dupont Circle. You will find legitimate Egyptian street/comfort food and the staff display true Middle Eastern hospitality & service very rare in America. The music (classic Arabic songs of love and heartbreak lol) and hearing the Egyptian dialect specifically completed the experience.”
“All their breads are amazing, but have a small quibble: the breads do not age well at all (insert joke about things aging well here). They taste so tough even on the next day, sadly. I have tried freezing and even that doesn't do it. But, nevertheless, breads are amazing, so there is that.”
“I love coming to Mixxed DC. The owner was so sweet when my friend got too drunk. She brought us bread and consistently checked up on us. I love that a black women owns this place and I will always come to support!!!”
“Fun night for two out of towners! Food was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly, even though we’re two or three times their ages and not cool at all! ;)”
“Went to Kitchen +Kocktails for the first time last night. The decor was very nice, and the music was good and not obnoxious. Our server Ally was terrific! I’m not a drinker, so when I asked her if there were any cocktails that didn’t taste like alcohol, I thought she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn’t! She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and immediately had a couple of suggestions. I went with the mixed berry lemon drop and it was perfect for me. The crab cake appetizers and shrimp and grits with lobster tail entree were amazing. We had a great time and we’ll be back!”

“Our waiter, Caleb, was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the dishes were interesting and unique. We were a party of 7, sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. The pacing of all the dishes coming out was perfect. The only downside was that there was a man with a really large dog seated right next to us and the dog barked and whined (so loudly we could not hear each other) and it smacked into our chairs repeatedly. Once the man left things improved and we had a great experience.”
“I enjoyed the green zone, it had me flying high. Flying high when I tried their coffee drink. There was so much in it I don’t even know what to call it, but look at the picture, it looks delicious. I payed a pretty penny for it too, but pennies I got. This place cost a lot of green so bring your wallet, credit card too. Have fun, it’s good (at least their coffee drink is).”
“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.”
“Agora DC made my husband’s surprise birthday dinner party one to remember! From the superior customer service and professionalism of their special events management team, including Tsednia Abay, to the Michelin Star-worthy food and service, no detail was left untouched. Thank you to your entire team!😍”

“The drink menu is creative, telling how the drinks were inspired.
I had two drinks. The first one was “Summers, Horses, Dreams”, love this one, it is a twisted from lychee martini, adding green cardamom which is insane delicious. However, I think the drink need to be colder.
Second drink was “Little Hats and Fast Trains”, highball style with Mazapan foam, I believe this is a type of peanut candy, and tamarind flavor. The foam was tasty but the tamarind was tart for me.
The staff was really helpful and nice. The atmosphere and the vibe was okay, good for dating or go with your friend.”
“I visited this Japanese restaurant with friends and we all had a fantastic experience. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic dishes, and every item we ordered exceeded expectations. The hibachi dishes were cooked perfectly, and the sushi rolls were fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, making it a perfect place for both casual dinners and celebrations.”

“Albi absolutely deserves its Michelin star. The lamb was easily one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and layered with complex, vibrant flavors. Every element on the plate felt thoughtful and beautifully balanced.
The overall dining experience was refined yet warm, with creative dishes and elegant presentation throughout the meal. A standout restaurant and a must-visit for anyone who loves modern, ingredient-driven cuisine.”
“Finding a Filipino restaurant isn’t easy. So learning about Purple Patch thru Jo Koy—has ended this search! Literally, Filipino cuisine heaven! The restaurant is uniquely decorated, the staff were friendly, & the food hit that major comfort button for us! Thank you Zahara for being so sweet & a wonderful waitress. We can’t wait to come back for more!”
“I love this place! The food is phenomenal! I can’t get over the tempeh burger!!!”

“I don’t know who was cooking in the kitchen tonight but this is the best this food has ever tasted! I knew when I opened the box it would be amazing and it was just that. Grand slamwich cooked to perfection and the potatoes were fluffy and seasoned. No complaints, 10/10 :)”
“RUN, DON'T WALK to Just AJs Veenies. They're at pretty much all the DC farmers markets, and they're absolutely delicious. They are DC's best kept secret, and these shouldn't be a secret. Their food is honestly the best in town, next to Fancy Radish. Vegan or nonvegan, AJs Veenies are a must eat.”
“Absolutely amazing experience at this Subway! The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is clean, and their attention to detail really stands out. Customer service is top tier — they even know me and my child by name, which makes every visit feel welcoming and personal. Truly appreciate the kindness and consistency every time we come in! Alam and all the staff are the best!”
“I cannot praise this place highly enough. Coming from out of state for college, I didn’t know what a Wawa was, but I absolutely love it now. Food is great and the people are greater, always going above and beyond to provide stellar service! Thanks, Wawa, for making the transition to DC a little easier!!!! As for the bad reviews, it’s just because it’s down the street from a high school, so of course it gets busy and chaotic during the start and end of the school day.”
“This subway is the best subway! The atmosphere is the very best and the gentleman here are amazingly friendly and funny 😄 and make it fun to come here. They work very hard and treat everyone kindly . So many people treat them horribly and talk to them any kind of way . This is not right! These men are only working hard like the rest of us . They have families and loved ones too that care and love them! So be kind to them! You never treat those badly who make your food ! Be respectful! Come here and enjoy the freshest food always ! Their produce is always so delicious and never soggy or expired! The place is very clean and well organized!!! Thank you gentleman for you hard work ! As a loyal customer I appreciate you so much and I know that you all will too 😍😘”

“What a great place ! I’m Swiss and very critical when it comes to “ Swiss restaurants “ in other countries. The best Kalbs Bratwurst und Rösti. The Vermicelli tasted just like at home. Great hospitality. And fair prices. THANK YOU FOR A HOME EXPERIENCE AWAY FROM HOME”
“Great evening at Anju with work colleagues. The food was exceptional , full of flavor and beautifully done. As chefs ourselves, we were all impressed. Service was warm and smooth throughout. Thanks to Chef for coming by and explaining his dishes ., A great personal touch. Highly recommend.”

“Visited yesterday for the first time and was so pleased with our experience. I had the Lobster roll and it was perfection! I also had my dog with me so we ate outside. They brought out an extra table/chairs so we could wouldn't have to wait for a table to open up. They were extremely accommodating and always checked on everyone to see if we needed anything. Will definitely be back!”

“One of the best sushi experiences we’ve had on the East Coast. The Omakase was exceptional and absolutely worth every penny. A must‑try is The Heaven sake — incredibly smooth, crisp, and perfectly paired with the meal.
We celebrated my brother’s birthday here, and the entire family is still talking about how amazing everything was. Highly recommend!”
“Superlative tasting menu, top notch wine parings, outstanding service, from a staff that outnumbers the clientele, what’s not to like? Yes it’s small, so leave the soccer team meetup for the pizza place. For Lutece, bring your favorite couple or 1 or 2 very special friends”
“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.”
“Had the most magical dinner here for our anniversary. The food was stunning and the team shared great detail about the ingredients, inspiration, and stories behind every dish. This is such a special restaurant and the entire experience was lovely and so memorable.”
“The first time checking this place out. ordered it to go. Customer service was great, staff was knowledgeable of the menu and gave a great recommendation. I got the spaghetti drunken noodles with chicken. Phenomenal, definitely will be going back. I'm actually surprised the flavors were still intact. For it to be a to go order lol”
“Elegant setting. Beautiful decor. Stellar service. Innovative and delectable cuisine. Bonus points for mocktail options.”

Fine Dining
“Compliments to the Chef. The Michelin star is so deserved. The setting in pics seems strange but please trust the staff and the kitchen, EAT HERE. We Loved it. Try the Marrow starter and if you are from IRL or the UK the beans and pork belly is next level. BRAVO”
“My girlfriend and I went for her birthday and they already had a card prepared for her when we got there because I selected birthday under the event tab in our reservation. We both decided it was the best place either of us had been. I do not write reviews for restaurants but this one deserves it. All of the food was delicious and we couldn't have asked for better customer service. We can't wait to go back.”
“In my 50 yrs of living on this earth, and have traveled abroad and tried many different places…my experience at The Dabney has been by far the best I’ve experienced. Everyone from host to chefs made me feel like a star. The bar staff, servers, the atmosphere, and the chefs!!! Top tier and would highly recommend!!! Not only was the service excellent…talk about hospitality on a 100! But the FOOD!!! I mean I would’ve been a happy camper just on the drinks from the bar (gotta try the FORWARD drink!! Whew!) and the service alone, but the FOOD?! We were treated to a five course, and every single bite, morsel that I tasted sent every bit of my taste buds to heaven!! I consider myself a picky eater but none of that mattered. If you’re a connoisseur of fine dining…you CANNOT miss THE DABNEY! I salute the CHEFS!!”
“There’s something quietly electric about Pascual, the kind of restaurant that makes you whisper to your dining neighbor, “You must try this… Don’t miss that…” Nestled in D.C.’s Capital Hill, the casual yet contemporary Mexican spot from chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy has doubled its space since opening just a year and a half ago. With the addition of a new outdoor patio, the energy now spills beyond its 30-seat dining space making more room for mezcal-fueled conversation and corn-scented dishes.
Chef Isabel herself is a ray of light. Her warmth is as memorable as the food, and on our visit, staff Emely and Jeremiah kept that energy flowing with the kind of attentiveness that makes you feel like a regular. The menu, which changes weekly, revolves around whichever heirloom corn varieties the kitchen has sourced that week. During our visit, it was Amarillo Bolita from Oaxaca and Azul Cónico from Estado de México.
We kicked things off with Guacamole and Tostadas, then went wild and ordered all the sauces: macha, verde, borracha, habanero, smoked papaya, and shishito escabeche. Each one offered a different kind of fire or funk, transforming the rest of our meal into a choose-your-own-flavor adventure.
The Kampachi Crudo was a stunner bathed in a husk cherry leche de tigre and touched with turmeric, it set a playful yet precise tone. The Bangs Island Mussels Tostada followed, topped with avocado, salsa negra, and epazote aioli that looked more like art than appetizer.
Vegetable dishes here are anything but afterthoughts. The Chayote Salad with sunflower seeds, guajillo oil, and Asian pears brought bright texture and balance, while the Infladita stuffed with squash purée, smoked goat ricotta, and uni mousse hit a deeply savory-sweet note.
The North Carolina Shrimp Tamal was tender and perfumed with huacatay. But it was the Badger Flame Beets that stopped us in our tracks, a colorful composition with hazelnut salsa macha, smoked ricotta, and opal basil. We paired that with Pork Belly Carnitas, rich and crisp with honeycrisp purée, purple shiso, and a hint of habanero.
Dessert continued the theme with a Chocolate Tamal with hoja santa ice cream and masa crumble delivered an earthy satisfaction. But the showstopper? The Nixtamalized Pear with pistachio ice cream, toasted meringue, and key lime—a refreshing reminder that a fruit as a dessert can surprise you.
The bar is just as thoughtful as its kitchen, spotlighting a tight but stellar list of agave spirits that leans into small producers and Mexican terroir. The cocktails riff on familiar classics with twists—think a Huacatay Old Fashioned with plum sake, a Fallin’ Empire with both Mexican Fernet and corn whiskey, and xila amaro, banana and lime. Inventive sips that carry the same earthy, layered flavors found on the plate.
Pascual transported us to Mexico City. The rhythm, the energy, the ever-evolving expression of corn and fire. In a city full of restaurants, this one feels like it’s simply chasing flavor, and that’s exactly what makes it shine.”
“Our experience at the Occidental last night was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, every detail was executed with perfection. The menu showcased incredible range and creativity — the twin lobster tails were tender and sweet, the steak tartare was beautifully balanced, and the smoked pheasant under glass was a showstopper both in flavor and presentation. Each dish felt carefully crafted and elevated, yet approachable. The wine list was equally impressive — clearly curated with thought and depth, offering the perfect pairings to complement the meal without ever feeling overwhelming. Service was another highlight. Warm, attentive, and genuinely inviting, the staff struck that rare balance of professionalism without a hint of stuffiness, making us feel truly welcome. Though we couldn’t save room for dessert, it simply gives us the perfect excuse to return soon. The Occidental delivers a dining experience that lingers in memory — refined, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. Highly recommended!”
“I recently visited this Japanese restaurant and had an absolutely amazing dining experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. I also tried the ramen and tempura, and both dishes were prepared perfectly with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere was calm, elegant, and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff members were attentive, polite, and provided excellent customer service throughout the visit.”
“We enjoyed our evening. It was raining and a Saturday in Memorial weekend and were able to get a reservation late afternoon for 7:30pm which usually unusual in DC. The cocktails were all superb including the mezcal cocktail, the gin cocktail, and the sangria. Definitely the best part. We did not order wine.
We ordered all vegetarian appetizers including the hummus(3/5 star), salad(4/5 star), carrots(4/5 star), tomatoe toast(4/5), Patatas bravas(5/5 star), entree roasted Cauliflower(4/5 star) and the vegetarian Paella(2/5 star as had too much beets and sweetness), flan(5/5 star), churros(4/5 star). It was a little dark and there were not many people this evening which was surprising. We enjoyed dinner for the five of us and was enjoyable. We parked in the Ritz colonial garage and received another ticket when leaving and parking was $10. Do not understand why they can’t comp us. It was pleasant but not out of world but I as enjoyable as healthy food with some good flavors. It was as about $90 a person total including tip reasonable for everyone who had a cocktail, apps, entrees and dessert in upscale DC restaurant. I would recommend a try as if ate fish or meat may be slightly better.”
“It was fabulous! I loved how much thought went into the meal and the whole place showed the care and love behind the creations. The food and service were spectacular!”
“I think Old Ebbitt Grill are one of the best grill joints around Washington and they got the most warmed atmosphere and I also enjoyed their service a lot. Their waitress and waiters are well trained with great sense of humor and they always smile to their customers/buyers.. You all can give it a try and thank me later hehe 😜”

“5 stars isn't enough!! From the moment we walked in until the end of our night we were satisfied. The decorations, food, and service was amazing! They even offered me a quiet place to pray :). Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. It felt like we were in nyc enjoy :)”
“Go. Now. If it’s closed, just wait outside til it opens and thank me later. I CANNOT recommend them higher. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Portion sizes that can feed 2-3 people. Ridiculously delicious food. Great prices… and most outstanding THE SERVICE! The lady running the place was quite simply one of the kindest sweetest souls you’ll ever meet, took care of us like we were part of the family and honestly was just incredible.”
“I ordered pizza from Georgetown location by uber and bottom of pizza was burnt. I had to throw away. Today, I just picked up 2 pies and asked Dell make sure bottom is not burnt. Kiara was so friendly and checked both pizzas make sure it’s not burnt. DELL AND KIARA WERE SO FRIENDLY!!! Definitely coming back to this location!!”
“Cashier smiled greeted us beautifully. Explain everything wonderfully.
We got cheeseburgers and shared the loaded fries. Them fries man! They aaARE SINFULLL!!! Do👏 not 👏eat 👏 them 👏 while👏 standing 👏up. You will be seated. These by far, are the best fries I ever consumed. The sauce was fabulous. The tang was tang-ing. The CRUNCH, and sauce ratio had my knees weak. Bravo y’all. OUT-EFFIN—STANDING!!! Been around the world and y’all out here in DC servin’ it up! From New York, will be coming back.”
“Hey guys want to give you all a big shout out for taking care of our Vets that are sitting in protesting the national guard and educating them about attacking our own citizens in your city. they said they stopped in to have a drink and the guy went to pay for the round and you covered their bill at least for the first round. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING OUT FOR OUR TRUE VETERANS. and GOD BLESS them and YOUR ESTABLISHMENT.”
“Wonderful place to spend a night. Server was kind and charitable and the food came quickly and the flavor and portions were great. Recommend the meat combo with honey wine, it's a must, and baclava for dessert, which is served warmed like a piece of pie. Shewa is a fantastic little getaway for great Ethiopian food that seems as yet untapped.”
“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.”
“From the cocktails to the service…our experience was top notch all around! Highly recommend!”
“got a reservation last second in december so i could check out the holiday decorations after hearing of the restaurants history from a TikTok!! worth visiting for the vibes, and the free shots of amaretto!”

“We value the seamless service and understated elegance. A trusted venue for business and celebration alike.”
“A friend recommended this restaurant and the waiter was very helpful in choosing our appetizers and meals, and also provided excellent wine pairings. We even had a little chat with the other guests”
“Did the cocktail mixing class. Great food and awesome experience!”
“Absolutely fantastic time at the restaurant. Staff were attentive and the food was exceptional! Would he coming back to DC more often just for the food! Would definitely recommend”
“Lamb chops steak is delicious! The fried potatoes were delicious! Brusselsprouts with fruit jam sweet and appetizing! His family's Pitabread can continue indefinitely”
“This was honestly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had in DC lately 🍽️✨. The food was absolutely amazing, and we ended up ordering quite a lot because everything on the menu sounded so tempting. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.
The drinks were just as impressive. The cocktails were fantastic, and we even ordered a mocktail for our kid, which he absolutely loved 🍹😊. We also shared a bottle of orange Portuguese wine that was simply wonderful and paired perfectly with the meal. And of course, we couldn’t skip dessert! The flan and mousse were incredibly rich and delicious — the perfect sweet ending 🍮🍫.
The staff at Cana were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Because the space is quite small, sometimes the service felt almost a bit too attentive, but it’s clear they really care about their guests. The only downside for us was the two-hour time limit ⏱️. We enjoy taking our time, ordering lots of food and wine, and relaxing during dinner. It felt a little rushed, especially when other guests were waiting close to the table for us to finish. For the price, I’d personally prefer a slower, more relaxed experience — but overall it was still a fantastic evening! 😊”
“Amazing meal. The food and service were top notch. Service friendly and professional. Beautiful restaurant. Excellent wine list. Host John insured that all went well. All 8 of us greatly enjoyed the experience!”
“Our son lives in the area and we have been here 4-5 since January ( every time we visit) The owners are wonderful and the staff very attentive The fish taco appetizer is wonderful ( can be enough for an entree if not wanted a big meal) I’ve had many of the entrees and never a bad meal . The chocolate dessert is my go to”
“Had a great experience. I would definitely come back next time we are in DC.”
“Exceptional throughout from the rooms to dining to sophisticated and attentive staff - thank you for having us.”
“The Tacos and clam chowder was really good. The frozen Rose’ was good as well. Great service”
“Went to the brunch with the live jazz band. Beautiful restaurant from the atmosphere to the presentations. I enjoyed my crab cake, oysters, bread pudding and drinks. I want to come back to try dinner.”

“Josè is a great manager, we had a phenomenal time. Been there twice as people from Florida and I’ve loved it every time. The vibe and the customer service is a 10/10.”
“This resturaunt was amazing! The service was absolutely the best, the food was sooooo delicious and flavorful and the ambiance was great. Definitely will be going there again.”

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.”
“Massive selection of beers on tap including cask ales and the friendliest bar staff! Thanks 😊”
“Minibar went above and beyond our expectations. Due to health issues, we cannot drink alcohol and they curated special nonalcoholic drinks that paired perfectly with the exceptionally creative food!”
“Great meal recently at Cucina Morini !!! The food, service and drinks were all on point !! See the photos for our recommendations !!! You can order half orders of pasta !! Perfect if you want to try different things.”
“wonderful small family owned Thai restaurant in Washington DC. the food is excellent and the service is great.”
“I do not understand the reviews calling the food bland. It was PACKED with flavor and everything was cooked to perfection! Absolutely worth every penny. Highlights were the Duck Vindaloo, Muscles, Smoked Lentils, and Nargasi Kofta.”
“First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.”
“A cute and cozy bistro with delicious food and fabulous service!”
“Thank you so much for having my friends Kristina, Alex and I for dinner today. I just want to say that everything we had was great, my favorite being the la calabrese! Meiling took such good care of us, she is a wonderful host and we had some great conversations with her. We’ll def be back in the future to try some of the other pizzas. Your decor and ambience is fantastic as well, I really felt like I was at restaurant in Italy! Keep up the good work and thanks again for a wonderful evening!”
“I went with a friend to The Capital Burger on Newbury last week. The space was clean and comfortable, our server was really friendly, and the food came out fast. Great experience—I’d come back without a second thought.”
“Friends and I ate here for dinner one day and the food and service was amazing! If you get Santiago as a server you are in luck! He is fantastic and very attentive. Definitely has great service, amazing food, and great mango sticky rice!!!!! I would 10/10 recommend!”
“This place is awesome! The staff was welcoming and friendly, they made conversation with us. Couches by the bar were inviting and comfortable and music was great. Dosa was like nothing ive had before, absolutely delicious. I highly recommend.”
“We had never tried Afghani food before, and I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They recommended the Mini Taste of Arocostia for our first time. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. They packed all our leftovers into boxes for us for our way home. We will definitely be going back!”
“on point!! don't shy away from the menu, everything we had was delicious.”
“Compliments to the Chef. The Michelin star is so deserved. The setting in pics seems strange but please trust the staff and the kitchen, EAT HERE. We Loved it. Try the Marrow starter and if you are from IRL or the UK the beans and pork belly is next level. BRAVO”
“Impeccable service. We sat at the bar. The bartender was the absolute best! The food was absolutely incredible, so full of flavor. Cocktails were on point. The atmosphere is beautiful and sexy! Worth every dollar spent!”
“I’m just a visitor so it’s my huge loss for only eating at this place for once. If it’s in my city I’ll come here literally every day. The food is so good and reasonable price, $25 per person you will feed yourself so well. The keprow is spicy but so so delicious, and the Tum Yum soup is also great as long as you can handle a little bit spicy. So so good. Just come and eat”
“Friendly, quaint and delicious food. Great service. What more do you need”
“If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.”
“Excellent food and atmosphere. The bartenders were also super chill and make really creative drinks. Recommend the honey wine!”
“Stopped by this restaurant for lunch randomly last Friday and I was so impressed!! I got the sushi and nigiri lunch special and my partner got the two traditional rolls and 1 special roll. It was such a great deal and amazing quality. The fish tasted very fresh. The service was also very good. We will definitely start coming here regularly! Loved my experience.”
“OUT OF THIS WORLD! I am Mexican and this food is just as great as it is in my own country, adding a touch of sophistication, fun and spark! Highly recommend it.”
“Att Fabio! I’m here now and Maria is my server. She is the best! I started with the grilled calamari and asked about the vongole. She brought me a sample to try! She is well versed with your menu, it was a pleasure to dine here.”
“I enjoyed the most decorative meals full of nutrients and I would love to visit them ones again when I get less busy one day😊💕”
“Great with food allergies/dietary restrictions and super accommodating. Highly suggest!”
“We have been going to La Tomate for years. Retired several years ago and moved away from DC. Every time we are in DC we always go to one of our favorite restaurant, La Tomate. I love the selection on the menu, always something new to try with the daily specials. La Tomate has great staff and an excellent location. Many thanks to Natalina for having a beautiful Restaurant and delicious food. Happy Anniversary!”

“I spent a couple hours here because my flight was delayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My Cosmos were perfectly pink. (If they’re clear and red they’re not made correctly) and only $6 during Happy Hour. I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, Cosmos I ordered the Bora Bora marinated chicken without the tortilla over rice. It was delicious! The chicken was so tender and tasty and all the flavors were wonderful. I also enjoyed watching the surfers on TV,. The waves relaxed me instead being stressed out over a delayed flight. Definitely recommend this place for its casual atmosphere and good food. Even if you don’t like Mexican!”
“Never thought to stop in until now--after five years in Woodley Park, we've found our spot for weekend brunch/buffet!”
“A very inviting corner restaurant, great for people watching and cocktails. The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was lux. We went on a Saturday and it just felt like they needed a manager around. Felt like they were really understaffed and not ready for the crowds. There were some people who had worked there longer and were directing others, and the food did come out of the kitchen timely. But there wasn't a sense of table service really, you just catch them when you can, know the candle won't get lit even after you asked and teach the server how to swipe the card. I wish they had someone tending to things, but maybe when it's slower it will be better. The pizza was good, and lots of pepperoni. I wished it wasn't quite as soggy in the middle but it tasted good. And the burrata had no flavor, no nice olive oil or pepper, very bland, but it was a hearty portion. Can't complain about the drinks. I can sense when there's no service concept so I hope they get it together.”
“The food was delicious and Alejandro was a great server! He was very personable and prompt! We had the salmon cakes, banzino fish, w/greens, red beans & rice. The only thing that needed a smidge more seasoning was the fried green tomatoes. The first time I ordered them they were seasoned perfectly. I also thoroughly enjoyed the nicely cooked breakfast potatoes! This is my 3rd trip here, and I will be back!”

“Haley was absolutely fabulous. Her personality was so pleasant and she was extremely professional. She checked on us just the right amount of times and was very knowledgeable about the restaurant, even though she was relatively new. She's a true keeper. Oh yes, the food was out of this world. I know we'll be back and I've recommended it to my friends that either live in K of P or who I know visit there. it was just a lovely experience Laurie Edson”
“Such a cool location. We were in a private room downstairs and it felt like a speakeasy. The service was outstanding. I don't usually like Mac and cheese at restaurants, but it was so good. The chicken and waffles and cornbread were also tasty. Highly recommended!!”
“The food was really good. I had the Cobb salad and it was delicious! Tried my son's sweet and tangy wings and they were incredible. Now let me give a HUGE shout out to the star of the show, Marty! This guy is a ROCKSTAR! He bartended and handled about 8 additional tables. We never waited long for anything. This man had it HANDLED! Give the dude a raise! Seriously! He needs some sort of recognition!”

“Excellent quality, very authentic food. If you love spicy this is the spot for sure to check out. You can build your own bowl and have plenty of options to choose from, also the beverages are authentic as well. Definitely not expensive yet fairly priced yet still excellent in qualitu. Highly recommend!”
“Was SUPERB. I have personally never had Filipino food so I didn’t know what to expect, and wow. Our server was the cutest woman, who was extremely attentive and remembered everyone’s orders and placement. She really has an incredible detail orientated memory. The food was incredible. The flavors in each dish were top notch. I had leftover tofu and mushrooms the next day and I’m sad I didn’t have more after that. Such a quaint little spot but it PACKS a punch. Can’t wait to come back.”
“Some restaurants get the food right. Others get the service right. Very few manage to deliver both with the kind of polish and attention to detail that makes the entire evening feel special. Our first visit to Maison Bar À Vins did exactly that.
We went for a date night, and from the moment we walked in it was clear this place understands atmosphere. The dining room is small and intimate, with a romantic, almost European charm that immediately sets the tone for the evening. It feels thoughtfully designed for conversation, good wine, and slow dining. Even the music in the bar lounge area was perfectly curated.
But what truly stood out was the service. From the host to the servers, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. The manager was visibly present throughout the evening, checking in on guests and making sure everything was running smoothly a detail that always signals a well-run restaurant.
Our waiter, Hunter, deserves special mention. He was knowledgeable, warm, and clearly passionate about what he does. When it came to the wine selection, he went above and beyond — offering multiple tastings until I found the perfect glass. That kind of patience and attention is rare and it elevated the entire experience.
We started with the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with apple, kohlrabi, and yuzu koshō, alongside their warm house bread served with cultured Normandy butter. The presentation alone felt like a piece of art, but the flavors were even better — bright, delicate, and beautifully balanced.
For our mains, the kitchen did not miss a beat. The Swordfish à L’Orange with fennel and kumquat was perfectly cooked and layered with vibrant citrus notes that complemented the fish beautifully. The Brioche Stuffed Chicken with jus gras and chanterelles was rich, comforting, and incredibly flavorful the kind of dish that feels indulgent without being heavy.
And then came dessert, the Chocolate Ate Hazelnut Ganache. Simply put, it was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time decadent, perfectly textured, and the ideal way to close the meal.
What makes Maison Bar À Vins special is that nothing feels accidental. The food is thoughtful, the service is genuine, and the atmosphere invites you to stay longer than you planned.
If you can’t get a table, sitting in the bar lounge as a walk-in is absolutely worth it. The energy there is just as enjoyable.
Maison Bar À Vins easily earned a spot on our list of favorite places. If they continue maintaining this level of quality and hospitality, they’re going to remain one of the most memorable dining experiences in the city. A true gem.”
“As part of our DC visit, we treated six family members to a fantastic foodie night at Ingle Korean Steakhouse--a spot our son (who lives here) highly recommended, and he was absolutely right.
We were warmly welcomed by Natalie, our server, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She walked us through the menu like a pro--perfect for us first-timers--while getting us started with some delicious scallion salads.
We briefly considered doing the prix-fixe, but went with à la carte instead... and were really glad we did.
We kicked things off with a spread of shareables: steak tartare, ssam (lettuce wraps), scallion salad, wok-charred asparagus with garlic chips, corn cheese (sweet, cheesy, slightly indulgent goodness), sautéed mushrooms, jjamppong (a spicy seafood and beef noodle soup), doenjang jjigae (rich soybean paste soup with beef), and beef fried rice. A few of us added white rice to round things out.
For the main event, both tables went with the galbi (boneless short ribs), and our table also tried the jumulleok and the ribeye cap. Everything came out perfectly cooked to medium, then cut into bite-sized pieces and served--such a nice touch.
The vibe struck that perfect balance: upscale but relaxed, lively but not loud--easy to enjoy great conversation while still soaking in the energy of the room.
All in all, an outstanding pick for a family dinner. We'd go back in a heartbeat!”
“Definitively acceptable! But probably no more than that.
For a seafood restaurant I was expecting a little more .... seafood options - there is essentially 1 dish from each seafood genre, and the oyster selection is woeful and shockingly expensive given you cannot select variety or provenance of the oysters.
Had the crab cake sandwich, and it was alright. For $40 I'd have appreciated a house made bun but I guess Kings Hawaiian is okay too lol”
“Friends and I ate here for dinner one day and the food and service was amazing! If you get Santiago as a server you are in luck! He is fantastic and very attentive. Definitely has great service, amazing food, and great mango sticky rice!!!!! I would 10/10 recommend!”
“Cute little Japanese spot in Georgetown, it is quite original, serving Japanese home style cooking. The wine selection was amazing; we did the wine pairing and the combination of flavors was incredible. Each course and wine was preceded by a very interesting exposition from the Chef and the Sommelier. Will have to come back to try the sushi menu on weekdays!”
“I had such a wonderful experience at F1 Arcade, and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing team—John, Emely, and Cristian. From the moment we sat down, John made us feel genuinely welcomed. He was attentive without being overbearing, super friendly, and had such a positive, easygoing energy that made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. He checked in at all the right moments, made great recommendations, and made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the night.
Emely, who was supporting as a food runner, was equally incredible. She was quick, efficient, and so kind every time she came to the table. You could tell she really cared about the details—everything arrived perfectly, and she always had a warm smile that made us feel taken care of.
Cristian was also fantastic and really helped elevate the experience. He was attentive, professional, and very welcoming. Whether it was checking in, assisting the team, or making sure everything was running smoothly, his presence definitely made a difference and added to the overall service.
What I loved most was how well they all worked together—it felt like a seamless team effort. Their communication and timing were on point, and it made the whole experience feel polished but still very warm and genuine.
Overall, they all went above and beyond to make our visit special. Service like that really stays with you, and it’s definitely the reason I’d come back. Thank you, John, Emely, and Cristian, for such a great night! 💛”
