“The best Punjabi food in DC. G.O.A.T Room brings the rich flavors of Punjabi/ Indian food here to DMV. They have every dish (fish, goat meat, naan,butter chicken) that I tried there…the BEST that I ever had. I had tried over 100 of restaurants in DMV and no one can beat this. Punjabi food is known for its rich and buttery flavors and G.O.A.T Room uses only fresh spices and herbs, such as turmeric cloves, ginger, and garlic. The owner, Bobby has created an extraordinary dining experience that brings this special food and culture right to DC. Bobby will visit your table and discuss your meal and personally thank you for coming in. He made a wonderful suggestions of food and drinks.. we were amazed with that selections. Butter chicken has a creamy gravy made of onions, yogurt, seeds, and did not disappoint. The goat meat was the best I’ve ever eaten. Naan and everything was perfect and not too oily at all. The portions are good sized and the presentation is exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely with authentic decor, and smartly set tables but mostly it’s the staff’s hospitality that amazed us. Bobby and his team has accomplished what they have set out to do and that is to bring the best food to the people of DMV. With the rich flavors, fresh, spices, freshest yogurt, and love and care in every dish- they have succeeded. Will be making more trips to DC just for their yummy food! Highly recommended. 10 stars. My Wife was able to get some vegetarian options that she really enjoyed while still tasting some of the food items from the tasting menu that I got. The service was impeccable. They gave us detailed understanding of everything that we were eating. They accommodated all of our needs and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing with top shelf service. “First time visiting DC, after exploring the city and carrying a toddler who was all set to throw tantrums the moment we sat to dine at Jab we met, the staff and the manager of the restaurant impressed us with their sweet and kind gesture by offering a cup of mango lassi and other treats to calm down our little bundle of joy who was bubbling with a lot of energy and excitement of being at new place and surroundings. “We went to the Taj of India in Alexandria. The food was wonderful. I love extra extra extra spicy food. I asked for the kitchen hot spicy and they delivered. The waitstaff is wonderful. Definitely will be back while we are here. If you come to Alexandria, VA. This is a must stop place. Sorry we ate most of our salmon tandoori before taking a picture.“

“Bombay Street Food 3 is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic Indian taste. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Goat Curry, Tandori chicken, Dall Makhani, Samosas and mango Lassi were absolutely delicious. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and provided excellent customer service.

“My girlfriend and I finally tried the exciting restaurant Chai Pani. There were three people standing at the front desk. They were friendly and solution based. Getting us an area to order cocktails while we waited for a high top table. Obviously no one likes waiting when they are excited to experience the hype so that attentiveness of the staff helped smooth the wait over. I had the lamb shank. It was fall off the bone tender. A very savory dish and a lot to share between two people. I accompanied the lamb shank with the white rice which was cocked perfectly. It has cumin in it no burnt pieces of rice. The cocktails were excellent the tamarind margarita not sugary but a good amount of sweet. Be careful they go down smooth. The aloo tikki chaat AMAZING well balanced between savory, spice and the sauce gives a little relief with sweet to make that spice level behave. Was not a fan of the naan reminded me of pita bread. Overall great experience will definitely go back.“
