“Went here for the first time and was pretty impressed. The tandoori chicken and biryani were both some of the best I've ever tasted! The environment was nice and the design was fitting of the quality of food, though the lack of windows felt a bit claustrophobic. Everyone there was very nice and helpful! The only real negative was that it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. They weren't especially busy, but it was pretty early (around 4:30) so that could be why. Still, I wish they would have at least brought out bread as we waited, since my whole party was very hungry. Don't take that as a reason not to come here, though. The food was well worth the wait! The bread assortment was fresh, well portioned and tasted amazing. The mango lassi was probably the best I've had... definitely the best in the area. I'll definitely be returning and if you're craving authentic Indian food, you should try Saffron!“
“This is my go to place whenever I come to Fairfax and DC area for good food and ambiance. Chicken tikka, tandoor, palak paneer are my absolute favorites. I also love buffet on the weekend. Now I know they serve buffet everyday on launch, I am absolutely thrilled!Parking: Just by the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: They do have wheelchair accessibility.“
“We did carry out so I can't really comment on service or atmosphere. What I can say is we have a very good Indian restaurant in our neighborhood but this restaurant 20 minutes away is worth the drive. Every single one of the 5 dishes we shared were superb. Our lamb, chicken and eggplant dishes were all so tasty and the proteins very tender. We also had a spectacular crispy spinach salad to die for.“
“Super service coupled with fantastic authentic food. Easily the best Indian place in this area that we've had.Edit - if anyone is particularly craving a very spicy curry, go for the Vindaloo. We just went again today, March 10, 2024 and had that for the first time and it is phenomenal!“
“Warm and Friendly People M & N Pizza brings the Middle East and Asian spices and flavors to the Maryland, for some it would be a new experience and for others it be like a taste of home. Located in a compact store front in Downtown Bethesda, this pizza place is serving up unique pizzas with international flavors and fusions. Their masala spiced fries were deliciously vibrant in flavor. I elected not to try their pizza but ordered their chicken gyro instead. Which was made with the creamy sauce, flavorful chicken, and lettuce. This sandwich with the cooling flavor paired nicely with the fiery spice of the fries. I did have the pleasure of reading about all the different pizzas, so it's definitely on my list to return for that special pizza experience. The food was tasty and good, it reminds me of the international cuisine I found back home in New York City. Even more impressive was the warm, friendly atmosphere cultivated by the people managing this restaurant. We were visiting for our order in the car, without even asking them, they brought our orders to the car. This is definitely a pizza place to try, if you are in search of something good, spicy, delicious and special. (They will guide you to the spicy level that's right for you.)“
“It’s a lovely and beautiful place and the food is good too. However , I asked for more of the green chatni with my chicken tandoori and it came later . I’d almost finished my chicken .Also the innovation you guys are making in some traditional Indian cuisine are really not nice . The rasmalai looked and even tasted bizarre. I mean I can understand that you are trying to be different and sophisticated but it was not a rasmalai anymore !! It was something else“

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a touch of old-world charm. Live piano music fills the air, adding a touch of romance and enhancing the overall ambiance. But the true star of the show is the food. They boasts a menu that delivers a delightful journey through the diverse flavors of India. From perfectly spiced curries to melt-in-your-mouth tandoori meats, every dish is bursting with authenticity. “I recently stumbled upon Lassan and ordered takeout. The food was delicious. I ordered the masala nachos, masala fries, palak chaat, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, veggie biryani, masaledar aloo gobi and chana masala. My family’s favorites were the chicken tikka masala and the chicken vindaloo although I kind of feel like we were mistakenly given butter chicken instead of tikka masala just based on what I’ve gotten at other Indian restaurants since it was my first time at this restaurant.I ordered a medium spice level for our order but some items like the biryani were extra spicy. My family loves spicy food so we loved it but fair warning to those with lower spice tolerances.Takeout orders need to be packaged better since my masala nachos and masala fries were very soggy even though I arrived to pick up my order right as it came out. My palak chaat was also soggy, not crispy at all. The flavors were delicious so my family and I agreed these items will only be ordered when we dine in.“
“We are staying at the Hyatt this restaurant is located in and were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived 30 minutes before close and ordered to-go. The waitstaff was incredible and very kind. Our food was incredibly flavorful and came out quickly. Highly recommend.“
“From walking inside, the server was very welcoming and brought a great atmosphere to the restaurant. He constantly checked up on us and made sure our water was always refilled. The food here is also great, ordered the saag chicken and kheer. Both were amazing. Over all, highly recommend this place and I would definitely be returning!❣️“
“Spice Kraft has some of the best Indian food in Alexandria. We started off with the Spinach Pakora Chaat, delicious and a unique combination of flavors. For entrees, we tried the Chicken Tikka and the Bhuna Bartha (eggplant) with a side of naan. Both dishes were cooked well. The chicken was tender and the eggplant was so flavorful. The only issue we had was that the Chicken Tikka was a bit too salty. Overall, cannot wait to return!“
“Had a good time here on a Sunday afternoon. For an appetizer i had, the Samosa, which was good, came with two dipping sauces, one sweet and one spicy. I did the create your on curry bowl. It came with curry (meat choice) with vindaloo sauce, basmathi rice, curried chickpeas, seasonal veggies, and Naan bread. To drink, I had the pretty in pink, which was just ok. The food alone was Def worth making this place a go-to restaurant anytime I'm in the area“
“This is our first time. The restaurant is cozy and uniquely decorated. Atmosphere is great. Our server Linda was terrific. She helped us decide on food options and was a pleasant addition to our meal time. Everything we ordered ( and we ordered too much!) was fragrant, beautifully spiced, and gorgeously presented. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.“
“Some of the most delicious food in DC. As a vegan they had so many incredible options that you can’t always find at regular Indian restaurants. The dosa with potato filling and idly were incredible and the server was so quick to provide her recommendation for her favorite vegan curry. My friend was gluten free too and we had so many options to enjoy - it was a feast! All vegans in the area need to run over here right away! Veganesha is the bestVegetarian options: Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available“
“This was BY FAR the best dosas and Idli we have had in years! Chef Paul is amazing and he told me he doesn’t believe in catering or delivery because South Indian food is best served hot and fresh and I couldn’t agree more! The Idlis melted in my mouth. The dosas were just perfect - the masala and chutney and sambhar -10/10! Go - no run to this place!“
“Food was pretty good but I wouldn't say incredible. Service is friendly but for whatever reason, the restaurant only does happy hour at the bar and not at the tables. That was quite annoying. My lamb biryani was pretty good and elevated by the cucumber raita. The portion sized looked small when it first arrived but I was actually quite full by the time I finished. The garlic naan was soft and flavorful.“
“Very nice and attentive employees, amazing food, really nice ambience. The samosas were delicious and the sauces that came with them were as well. Amazing naan, amazing aloo palak, I'll definitely be visiting again! Would definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian, I can definitely say that there were many great options here! There was a whole vegan section as well which had plenty more!“
“The food was delicious, especially the butter chicken and goat masala. The service was excellent, and the dessert was a nice way to end the meal. The restaurant had a clean and cozy atmosphere, which added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great Indian cuisine in a welcoming environment“
“In a cozy corner, where spices meet smile,A culinary journey, stretching mile after mile. With warmth in their greetings, they welcome each guest,In this tiny haven, you'll find food that's the best. From tandoori to curry, each dish a delight,Authentic flavors that dance through the night.Though the space may be small, its spirit is vast,A super friendly Indian joint, unsurpassed.“
“The place is in a gas station mini mart. You order online or in person, pay at the counter and wait. Portions are small but the taste is home made. It’s not over spiced, it is typical Punjabi style food. Personally it missed because it wasn’t hot (pepper wise) enough. But the taste is really like homemade Indian food.No pictures because we got it to go. Essentially no place to eat.Definitely will get this again but will ask for an increased heat level, or just add some heat at home.Samosa chat: niceButter Chicken: sweeter than expectedLamb curry: tender chunks and sauce is spot on!Shahi paneer: again a little sweet, same as butter chickenDal Makni: just like home!It is a little expensive for the amount of food you get.“

The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we were seated to the final goodbye, we felt welcomed and cared for every step of the way.The ambiance at Virraaj is also worth noting. The restaurant's elegant decor and inviting atmosphere create the perfect setting for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with friends and family. It's clear that the team behind this establishment is committed to excellence in every aspect, from the cuisine to the service to the ambiance. They take special care to create an mazing experience for every customer. If you're looking for a delicious authentic Indian food, this is a spot you cannot afford to miss.“
“The Tandoori Chicken at Mumbai Darbar is a true culinary gem! The chicken is juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of char from the tandoor. It's served with fresh mint chutney and onions, adding a refreshing contrast to the bold flavors. Definitely one of the best I've ever tasted!“
“We had a wonderful dinner tonight! The Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Butter Chicken and it did not disappoint. Loved the cozy atmosphere and the service was great! We will be going back for sure!“
“The buffet has a nice selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. The service is always impeccable. The staff is very cordial and professional. It's a small venue, but the setting is welcoming. It's a nice place to have a family lunch.Parking: There are plenty of free parking aroundKid-friendliness: The place is good for kids. “Exquisite food . I tried goat karahi and chicken rolla masla and they were really really awesome !!! Gajar ka halwa was really really delicious!!! And the manager Haseeb the owner of the restaurant served us the whole time and we didn’t know that. That is so humble and professional on his part !!! Would really recommend everyone to eat here!!!“
“There is no better experience than trying something totally new and having it turn out beyond expectations. In my case, eating a Nepalese dish at Himalayan Doko for the first time in my life has produced that satisfaction in me. It was not only the extraordinary taste of the food but the extremely friendly attention of the staff that would make me return to this place a thousand times. I loved the atmosphere, the decoration that reflects its tradition, and the neatness. It will definitely be a must stop whenever you have the opportunity to visit Washington DC.There is no better experience than trying something totally new and having it turn out beyond expectations. “Can't say enough good things about Dishes of India. We do to-go orders here often and the food is always prepared on time and tastes amazing. Honestly, we've never ordered anything that made us unhappy. Eating in the restaurant is just as enjoyable. Friendly, helpful staff and always an incredible presentation. We love Dishes of India and hope it's here in the neighborhood for a long time.“
“I order from this place a bit - in rotation with similar spots. However, tonight they gained a very loyal customer. I just spent 7 hours in the ER and ordered Indique to pick up on the way home. Unfortunately they gave me the wrong order (similar names) and I was pretty disappointed when I got home. I called to ask for a refund, but they bent over backwards to find me a driver and deliver my food. I appreciated this even more knowing I went through a third party delivery service, and they had every right to make me handle this through them. This also happened on NYE - definitely a busy day - but they made our whole night. Order was fresh and delicious as always. Their Tikka and naan are some of the best in DC!“
“Excellent Indian Tea available Only hereAll foods excellent and really good serviceOnly very limited time available in MorningExpect tea available since 9 AMI Really enjoyed delicious food, except buffet to start.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggies available and India tea as well“
“Quietly classy. We've never been disappointed with the food here. I love the geographic menu, allowing you to mix and match different regional styles. Service was attentive. Tables well-spaced, white tablecloths. The bar is small, so if you want a cocktail, keep it simple.“
“I'm in DC for work and this place is right around the corner from my hotel. So..convenient. With that said, I would drive a significant distance to eat this food again. Incredible! I had chicken tikka masala and Naan bread. I make my own at home (love to cook and don't eat out often) and this was maybe a little bit better than mine ? Spice and flavor was on point!“
“DON’T GET THE HONEY SHRIMP.We considered leaving after being served four small, tail-on shrimp that were shamefully overcooked for $10.Very glad we stayed and enjoyed the non-veg thali. The selection was fun, the food was delicious; and we were very satisfied with it. Service was extremely slow, but our server did apologize. We’re definitely going to try it again.“
“One of the best restaurants I have been to. It’s very clean and great ambience. Customer service was top notch. I loved butter chicken and kabab. Food arrived just on time and were fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to try delicious Indian food. I would visit again without any doubt.“
“Whilst I was on a trip to the area I stumbled upon Masala Express. In search for gluten free and vegan friendly options I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Aloo Gobi which comes with a large side of rice. This was truly the best Indian food I have ever had. The service was phenomenal. The waiters as well as the owners were very kind and appreciative of the tip I left at the end of my meal. Masala Express is a fairly small restaurant with only two tables, so if you have a large party I recommend taking out your order. Overall, Masala Express is an amazing place to spend your evening when visiting Arlington, VA.“
“In a quaint town, a hidden gem does rest,An authentic Nepalese culinary quest.Terrific flavors, a feast so divine,With prices so low, it feels like a find.Quality so high, yet the cost stays slight,Service prompt and friendly, every bite a delight.Always accommodating, a staff so keen,Guiding new palates to tastes unseen. If Nepalese cuisine is what you seek,This place offers a peak.A journey of flavors, a guide so true,A dining experience that feels brand new.“
“During my trip from NYC to Washington DC, I stumbled upon a fantastic Indian restaurant. I ordered the Gosht Biryani and Lassi, and both were delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the service was quick and friendly. The food was served hot and fresh, making mine meal even more enjoyable. If you're in DC and craving Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.“
“One of the tastiest Indian restaurants in the area!!! The owner Bokech (I really hope I spelled his name right if not I am so sorry!) is so kind and really cares about his customers and giving them great food! Every dish I’ve tried here is fantastic and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a good late night bite :)“
“Went here for my Valentine's because my boyfriend knew that this was a spot on my list, food and service is amazing. The atmosphere is perfect for a night of romance. My fish was cooked perfectly and the drinks were made well. Would definitely come here again!“
“This is a really straightforward food stop with very tasty options. We order here for takeout, and it's always been a good experience so far. We have enjoyed the yellow dal, lamb vindaloo, and chicken saag. It is very good and portions are good. Can't ask for more. There is a little bit of parking right in front of the store front, as well, which is convenient.Parking: I think 6-8 parking spots, shared by another restaurant.“
“Ordered the spicy chili chicken bowl which was bright, fresh, and full of amazing flavors, also ordered the garlic naan which was fresh The extreme overall great tasting. Staff was friendly restaurant was clean. Don’t think you could ask for too much more.“
“The best and the most authentic Indian restaurant in the DMV area.I don’t think there’s just one single dish I can recommend - the food their chef cooks is excellence, every item on the menu is amazing and executed to perfection. Food is primarily about taste and ingredients and these people seem to have nailed it for sure! Also the staff is very kind and friendly.“
“The Indian buffet here is amazing. I really like the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, goat curry, fish fry, and the veggie cutlets from here. The lassi and naans are also really delicious. It can get a little crowded here sometimes, especially since the buffet is only available on weekends, so you may need to wake in line. The owner is always there to greet us as we come in.“
“This food is addicting to eat and the flavors / seasonings are nothing short of superb. I will most definitely be coming back and trying the whole menu. This was truly amazing. Coming from someone who is a picky eater (myself) this is a new favorite spot of mine!“
“MOST FLAVOURED INDIAN PIZZA IN USA SO FAR. ZERO FLOP & PIPING HOT. RENAMED RECENTLY TO SPICE CIRCLE.##### I RECOMMEND #####(Reviewed on 16 Jun 2023 afternoon after multiple visits in days before)TRIVIA :(plz order dine in not to go)Out of all the states i have been to,I would never have guessed i'd find the best Indian Pizza in West Alexandria, VA (or Falls Church, VA). Recently got renamed to SPICE CIRCLE and the board has changed but it serves every item from Indian Pizza Co.I have eaten in roughly 20 Indian pizza places from over 9 states, and this one clearly beats them all by a mile. The only other that comes really close to it is Italian Express in Coppell TX.PLACE :Hilly, shopping center, accessible, lots of parking, short drive.CUISINE :PROPER ROMAN & INDIAN STYLE PIZZAFOOD :Please order dine in and nit to go.The prices are GOOD. quantity and plating is personal sized and not overdone. Nothing goes wasted (not even the crust ends). Lot of zesty and savoury notes in their pizza.--Must Try :My FavouritesMIXED VEGGIE PIZZA (ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT)CURRY CHKN PIZZA (ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT)Makhani/Butter pizza (honourable mention)All their pizza's are awesome, but these above two are just BRILLIANT. Delivering a punchy curry flavour on a cheesy pizza not easy, and they nail it. Lots of zingy, earthy and tangy notes in the curry flavoured pizza. Lots of zesty and rich savoury notes in their Veggie pizza. Pizzas are well done with zero flop. Worth driving far for it.AMBIENCE and STAFF :Very casual and cafe like.Staff is very friendly, quick, attentive at service.A couple of nepali guys lead the kitchen and Nate makes the sauce recipe and monitors the flavour range. Very friendly and easy to approach.“
