“Very good benefit of this place is they close quite late (until 1 am). That's good for night people who just get off work or feel hungry late night. Many interesting Indian and Nepalese food choices. I ordered take-out Chicken Saag, Chicken Biryani and Garlic Naan. They might not the best Indian dish that I have ever had before, but I can say, the food was fine and has a standard taste that supposed to be. (the flavor is fairly mild) The restaurant building condition seem hidden and aged. There are some seating tables are available inside, that is clean and organized anyway. They have free parking behind the restaurant, but it is quite narrow and limited especially day time.“

“The food was genuinely a 10/10. I ordered doro wat definitely recommend. We ordered our dishes and then came out within 15 minutes very fast. The customer service was good and the vibes and energy was good as well, mind this was on a Tuesday at 10pm. Definitely check this plate out.
Also on of the ladies was really sweet in helping dishing out my food. I felt very welcomed 🥰“

“First I would like to say that I wish there were more than 5 stars. My son and I are visiting the DC area for the Cherry Blossom festivities. My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! The only bad part is that I have to go back to Florida and wait impatiently for my next visit.“

“Exactly the kind of Indian place you want. Not fancy or overpriced, but elegant and well priced prepared curries and other classic dishes. There are so many trendy and hyper-stylized Indian places in DC, but if you’re looking for a comforting curry with great service, don’t look any further! Can’t recommend this great neighborhood spot highly enough.“

“Dinner at Herbivore Indian Cuisine was fantastic! Every dish had an authentic, homemade flavor. We loved the crispy Samosa Chaat and tender Chicken Pakora to start.
The Butter Chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly buttery, while the Vegetable Biryani was fragrant and packed with spiced veggies and crunchy fried onions. The Lamb Vindaloo delivered bold, balanced heat with melt-in-your-mouth lamb.
Generous portions, fresh flavors, and friendly service make this a true DC favorite for both veg and non-veg cravings!“

“Food was great. Overall satisfied with the meal. Wait staff was quick and friendly. Worth a visit. Only way it could be improved is to have citronella candles on the table. There are no candles on the tables outside. Be sure to tip generously!“

“The best Punjabi food in DC. G.O.A.T Room brings the rich flavors of Punjabi/ Indian food here to DMV. They have every dish (fish, goat meat, naan, butter chicken) that I tried there…the BEST that I ever had. I had tried over 100 of restaurants in DMV and no one can beat this. Punjabi food is known for its rich and buttery flavors and G.O.A.T Room uses only fresh spices and herbs, such as turmeric cloves, ginger, and garlic. The owner, Bobby has created an extraordinary dining experience that brings this special food and culture right to DC. Bobby will visit your table and discuss your meal and personally thank you for coming in. He made a wonderful suggestions of food and drinks.. we were amazed with that selections. Butter chicken has a creamy gravy made of onions, yogurt, seeds, and did not disappoint. The goat meat was the best I’ve ever eaten. Naan and everything was perfect and not too oily at all. The portions are good sized and the presentation is exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely with authentic decor, and smartly set tables but mostly it’s the staff’s hospitality that amazed us. Bobby and his team has accomplished what they have set out to do and that is to bring the best food to the people of DMV. With the rich flavors, fresh, spices, freshest yogurt, and love and care in every dish- they have succeeded. Will be making more trips to DC just for their yummy food! Highly recommended. 10 stars. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5“

“We went to Rasika for Valentine’s Day dinner, and they were offering a three-course prix fixe menu. From the appetizers, we were told that the spinach chaat was the only item from their regular menu. I was a little skeptical at first, but our waiter mentioned it’s one of their most popular dishes, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I cleaned the bowl completely and already know I’ll be dreaming about it for a long time. The next time I’m in DC, Rasika will definitely be a must-visit for me.“

“Their food is amazing, the atmosphere of the place is really cool. It looks very nice decorated. They have different kind of Naans. You know an indian restaurant is good when the chef is from India. And this is one of those. Come and enjoy! 😊🤤“

“This restaurant is amazing! From the food, atmosphere and service is perfect. The owner was working and was beyond kind and caring. I had never tried Indian food. So the owner walked me through what he would suggest and what it all came from. I ended up getting a dosa which was the best food I have ever had. When it came out the cook explained all of the masalas it came with.
I also asked for recommendations for desert and drink to bring home to my roommate. They suggested a chai, mango lasi, pineapple kessari and gulab jamun. Everything was to DIE for.
I felt so well taken care of. The owner is a wonderful person. I can not suggest this place enough!!! If you are looking for some of the best food from even better people, look no further. This will be the place for you!“

“Our feelings are a bit mixed about this restaurant. On the plus side, the crab appetizer and the baby eggplant dish were fantastic and unique. The service was friendly and attentive. The ingredients in all the dishes seemed very fresh (we did have a long wait between appetizer and main meal, which we think meant one dish at least was freshly made as the restaurant was not too busy). On the less positive side, the lamb vindaloo was good but not superb, as was the bhindi, and the raita was bland. The cocktails, quite watery, were disappointing. We will come another day for the lunch thalis.“

“I just had my 2nd absolutely DELICIOUS Indian dinner at Virraaj on Cordell. My husband noticed what he thought was a new restaurant across from the public parking last week so we went there for our Wednesday date nite. We went earlyish and only a couple other tables were taken when we arrived but by the time we left at 6:30 ish it was just about full so best to make reservations. Even with many diners, it was still easy to talk to each other and be heard. I started w/ the AAM Palak Chaat appetizer which I had first tasted at Rasika and have ordered every time I have seen it on a menu. Definitely rivaled Rasika's and the portion was big enough to share w/ my husband as an appetizer. My main was the Murgh Bahak/ Kadai Chicken. So tender, so tasty with onion and green and red bell peppers, delicious brown sauce w/ terrific spices plus a little spicy kick. I ate as much as I could and still had left overs for 2 lunches at home. My husband ordered a lamb dish he enjoyed and finished every morsel including the rice. I saw some reviewers would have liked more rice. We had plenty with our meals so maybe they are giving more w/ each dinner. The waiter was attentive, professional, courteous and nice. The restaurant itself was classy & beautifully appointed - you could tell someone put a great deal of thought and money into designing it. This week we had friends visit who live in VA, within walking distance to Clarendon. We always go there for Indian food because there are so many good Indian restaurants to choose from but they were excited to try Virraaj from our comments about how much we enjoyed it. Before ordering takeout, I called and spoke to Jenni 3 times because I wanted to order what I had ordered last week but couldn't remember the name. She could not have been kinder or more patient in helping me figure out that it was the Kadhai Chicken. It may not seem like it from this review but I am a picky eater - happy to pay any price (just about ) for good food but am too often disappointed in Bethesda. Virraag got the highest marks on everything important to me: service, food, and ambiance - all of us enjoyed our meals and noone was disappointed. We ordered pickup for 4 main dishes including my fav Murgh Bahak/Kadai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tawa Masala and Hariyal Murgh Tikka, naan and roti. All went on 2 big lazy susans on the dining room table and we kept on spinning, tasting and enjoying. The wife of the other couple always orders the Butter Chicken and kept on saying how moist and delicious the chicken was tonight. We all tried and liked everything - - not one complaint. So glad that we have a great Indian restaurant to go to and take friends to and not worry that anyone is not going to enjoy -- it is that good!“

“Best way to describe it is as an Indian inspired - chipotle, noodles &co, poke place, etc. choose one or more proteins, carbs, veggies, toppings, sauces.
It allows for a variety of combinations that one should find very satisfying. The portion size was pretty good and the value was also very good but consider the high rent location you are in and take that into account. Restaurants in that general area by the convention center are “expense account joints”. I was glad they were there when I just wanted to take my time and eat something satisfying in a quiet place.“

“Great Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Bethesda. Ordered the chicken Biryani along with Chili chicken and garlic naan. The Biryani was well prepared and fresh. The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service“

“My sisters and I tried Rasa for the first time and the food was very tasty, fresh, fast and nicely seasoned. Sadly, the service was very much lacking. We came in and there were 6 people behind the counter, not one person greeted us or acknowledged our presence. They were working on a big to go order at the time, but it seemed like no one was really delegating and attending to people that were actually standing in line. Finally, a guy came over to take our order and as I was asking for what I wanted, he was exasperated from the very beginning. He quickly slopped the food in the bowl, no care at all. When I asked for my sauces on the side, he rolled his eyes and then I asked for pickled onions and he grabbed my bowl and begrudgingly put them on. He did the same with my sisters orders. He was incredibly rude and if you don't want to serve people, don't work in a service job. I did like the food though! Very tasty.“

“This place serves surprisingly good Indian food fast, and at a very reasonable price. The people are friendly. The seating is comfortable. The portions are large - go there hungry. Butter chicken is surprisingly hard to find in DC and theirs is good. Fresh cucumber and tomato, raita, and chutneys if you want. The Aloo tikki are a fun snack. They also have delicious grab-and-go mango lassi.“

“I live in VA, but love to try different food. My second time here, because food was great. The girl serving was super too. Was not busy the time I was eating. After reading reviews, I wonder where people normally eat as most restaurants have a charge for sharing if they let you all. I like the quiet atmosphere to relax. Nice to be able to have a glass of wine & do that. The manager was super friendly too.“

“Bombay Street Food 3 is an excellent place for authentic Indian street food. The flavors are bold, fresh, and truly taste like real Bombay-style cuisine. The chaat is perfectly balanced, the samosas are crispy and flavorful, and the pav bhaji is rich and delicious.
The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is quick, portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.
Overall, a great spot for anyone craving genuine Indian street food.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and flavorful Indian dining experience. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes. If you appreciate great food, warm hospitality, and a lively atmosphere, Bombay Street Food 3 is the place to be!“

“I really loved this gem of a restaurant. I loved the buffet. The buffet was priced at around $20 with tax. I got an order of Naan or the common Indian bread included.
The service was excellent. My waiter was helpful and friendly. I liked the dessert and he showed me where the cup and spoon were for it. It was like Halwa pudding. It was yummy, sweet!
I liked the tandoori chicken. The music was Indian drums which are charming. The look of Kadhai, the interior, was of Mughal windows or Arabesque, if you will. But distinctly Indian. It was really an attractive place
It is located in the beating heart of Downtown Bethesda. I believe it is the first Indian restaurant in Montgomery County. I thought I read that somewhere online recently. But I'm not sure, ask them.“
