“We chose Bistro du Jour at the Royal Sonesta because we needed an ADA-accessible restaurant and bathroom, convenient parking, delicious food, a sophisticated atmosphere for a family dinner, and a place where we could actually have a conversation. Boy, did they deliver! The space is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous floral arrangements that deserve an 11/10. The lounge area behind the bar is particularly sexy and charming—an excellent spot for a date night. The restaurant, service, and ambiance were all lovely, but the food exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality and setting. The menu offered some intriguing options, including raspberry macarons with chicken liver and fig jam, alongside classic French favorites like escargot, bouillabaisse, steak frites, and boeuf bourguignon. Our party of eight happily devoured everything and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal. It can be difficult to find a restaurant that combines accessibility, an elegant atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding food, and reasonable prices. Bistro du Jour checked every box. This is a restaurant we will happily return to again and again. Highly recommended for a special family dinner, a romantic evening, or anyone looking for a lovely French dining experience in DC!“

“A bit on the pricey side, but they have all you can eat breakfast. It's also convenient if you're staying at the hotel. Our server and hosts were really friendly and attentive. We were a bit confused when we got there, but once you're seated, you are free to get up and get food. The server will help with drink options. Overall, it was a pretty great experience.“

“I seldom have an experience worth posting about, but this was one of them. I was in the area for a work conference and decided to grab lunch at Surreal. I wasn’t expecting much and wasn’t sure about the all you can eat menu, but it was incredible. I had three rounds of orders with server recommendations. Shout out to Marcus for the phenomenal service and recommendations. Everything was delicious. Every. Single. Thing. The outdoor seating was great too and let me enjoy the nice day. “Cute neighborhood spot. Selection of drinks and oven fired pizza. The happy hour was vast with a cute list of specialty drinks. We came to catch up but I wasn't impressed with the menu. Definitely, a lot of vegan or trendy dishes but nothing popped out. She settled on the Beet Salad with Salmon and I a chicken sandwich with home fries. She liked her salad but I wasn't impressed with my selection. It was indeed a hearty portion but did have much flavor. The spicy Aoil is what gave it elevation. The fries were very oily and didn't have any salt. I only ate the bottom half with toppings and 1 fry. The Witches Brew was strong but needed to be microwaved. I wouldn't come back but I hear it's a neighborhood watering hole. Maybe the weekend brunch or pizza offering is better.“

“Cafe Colline is spectacular. I had a toddler with me, was dressed in an adidas track suit, and wanted real food as we waited for someone working in the area. Most of the customers were much better dressed and without a child. Nothing wrong with this, just painting the picture. The staff could not have been nicer and more professional. We were greeted with open arms, sat immediately, and served with absolute professionalism. My food (the fish) was so good I considered licking the plate. They don’t necessarily have a kid’s menu but offered numerous things to make a toddler. I went with the burger and fries. They complimented this with numerous dipping sauces and made the burger to order. The charge was minimal and fair. I always clean up after him as toddlers can be messy and they insisted on letting them clean up (I did it anyway). Restrooms were spotless and the kitchen area you pass was very clean and well organized. It’s a small spot full of big talent. This will be a regular for us. A must dine.“

“I have dined at this restaurant numerous times since April 2024. They have greeted me at the door and have made me feel like I was a real VIP customer. The food has always been delicious , my favorite is the Tuscan Chicken. The bar menu up stairs- Martini's are absolutely fabulous. I look for this to be my hangout meeting spots for business. I appreciate the warm welcoming feeling I get when I visit.“
