“Absolutely memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Wonderful and attentive service. Beyond imaginable flavor profile. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Made the birthday celebration extra special with their own added touches. Truly incredible! Come here - you won’t regret it.“
“I have not only travelled to Thailand, but studied Thai cuisine and also attended cooking classes. This place is the REAL DEAL!!!! Not your run of the mill pad thai place. More northern cuisine if you are familiar with it, think Chang Mai. Everything is out of this world, great bar and drinks, friendly and warm staff that attends to your every need.“
“One of my favorite restaurants! They have incredible options for gluten and dairy-free diners. Veggies instead of bread for dips, homemade almond yogurt to replace any yogurt in entrees. We had the mini tasting menu and there were very few adjustments needed. Absolutely delicious, especially the squash side, the lamb chops, the chicken in yogurt-based sauce, the rice with carrots and raisins, and tasty cocktails. Warm, cozy ambiance with a frequent sitar player.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten feee options and many dairy-containing options can be made dairy-free using their homemade almond yogurt.“
“One Michelin star and 2023 James Beard best chef in America. I got the Vernal (early spring) tasting menu, which is prepared vegetarian or vegan. Everything tasted delicious, but for me the pumpkin seed gnocchi with the mushroom ragout really stands out on the menu. The folks at this restaurant really care about sustainability (like having plates made out of pressed used wine bottles). I also recommend the wine pairing. Service is top notch. This is a restaurant you should not miss when visiting Washington DC.“
“This is a gem of a spot in Cleveland Park! I discovered it one day and now I’m a regular and have started bringing my friends. Who all have said they wanna come back. The restaurant is small, but intimate and the food is amazing. The Scallops are a must try. Every time I’ve gone and sat at the bar and have always had an amazing experience. Kyle & Victor are so knowledgeable on their wines and just make the experience 10x better. The playful pairings on the menu are also another highlight and a lot of fun. Definitely a spot worth checking out!“
“Checked out San Lorenzo for the first time the other night - I have been in DC for years, but just recently moved to the Shaw neighborhood and had heard good things about this spot. Christina the GM was super friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome and the bartender I spoke to, Efron, gave some great menu recommendations. The Seafood Linguine was fantastic! Will absolutely be back.“
“I had my birthday breakfast at The Greenhouse in DC. I ordered the Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes. ? These were fluffy, not too sweet, not too 'chocolately', and the banana on the top was glazed with crystalized sugar ..mmm.. Just right for me. The staff was friendly, too. Overall a pleasant experience. ??Kid-friendliness: I saw a few tables with families/grandparents and children sitting together.“
“St Vincent is consistently a slice of heaven here on earth and my favorite “good in the hood”. The service, ambiance, bites and vino are unmatched. And now that there is live music in the garden, it is in a league of its own. The pop up with the Eritrean chef a few weeks ago was a pleasant little twist and I look forward to more of these curated experiences. This is my go to happy place—-home away from home and I cannot recommend it enough!!! Great date place or just gathering spot with your friends.“
“Second time to Ceibo and it once again did not disappoint. Start first with the excellent, interesting, and perfectly made craft cocktails. Next move on to the food, everything is exceptional and intriguing. It's hard not to order the entire menu. You can't quite place the food concept; part Latin flavors, part Italian, part Asian, but how this team has put it together just works. Each dish is beautifully plated and with appropriate portions for a filling meal. Everyone reported their dishes to be both delicious and unexpected. One of the most exciting food experiences in DC right now. Last, the restaurant itself is minimalist, but reminded me of a hip restaurant in Mexico City. The tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel you are eating with your neighbors and the noise level is lively but not loud, so you can have a relaxed conversation with your dinner mates. The dining space is split between an upper level and a lover level. The bar is on the lower level, so feels a bit more lively than the upper level. All around a wonderful experience and a fantastic addition to the AdMo/DC dining scene.“
“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.“
“I stopped by on a Wednesday for lunch based on the reviews I saw here. I was more than satisfied. The staff are friendly, the decor and atmosphere is clean, comfortable and stylish, and the pizza is fantastic. I wish I could give them more than five stars!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian toppings. They also can do dairy free if you are vegan.Dietary restrictions: They told me that they have multiple dairy-free options.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy street level access and handicapped bathroom.“
“What a sweet wine spot! We came just before close on a Sunday and I am so glad we stumbled in! The small shop is bright and airy with high ceilings. Their tiled bar seating seats at least 10 people, with tables up in the front near the entrance for larger groups. There were also 2 seater high tops in the back that people were reading books at while enjoying glasses of wine. The service - amazing! The two people behind the bar knew all about their wines and were able to suggest some glasses to us off their Women in Wine list for March. I liked that while the rest of their wine list was from your typical wine producing regions, their Women in Wine selections were more local. They also do events and try to incorporate themselves into the community since they're local - so really a great local wine and cheese bar! They also have a wine and cheese subscription - it looked amazing and pretty affordable, too. They also just recently opened a spot in Union Market - I can't wait to check them out there!“
“A+ for service and atmosphere! The live music/flamenco dancing was vibrant and delightful. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was a hit or miss. For the tapas, the whisky pork tenderloin with potatoes was cooked well but the sauce had an odd tang to it. It may be an acquired taste and not for everyone. The grilled eggplant was soggier than expected and I don’t think I’ll get it next time. The Serrano ham and manchego cheese appetizer on the other hand, was absolutely scrumptious! The chicken and seafood paella (the reason why we chose this restaurant) was a big let down…the dish was way too salty and I couldn’t fully enjoy it without downing water. The chicken and mussels/clams however, were tender and cooked well. The churros and chocolate dip for dessert were divine.“
“We dropped in for a late lunch and were fortunate to get a table (reservations strongly recommended.) Absolutely perfect! I had the Seared Salmon with Mediterranean Couscous, Asparagus and Heirloom Tomatoes. My wife had Roasted Chicken with Mushroom Parmesan Risotto. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was exemplary—Manuel took great care of us and presented his business card so that we could ask for him next time we visit.“
“This place made for the perfect Valentine's weekend night out. The atmosphere is sophisticated, romantic and elegant. The food and wine are excellent and the service is superb. My boyfriend and I had a lovely night. Thank you, Vin Sur Vingt!“
“Great small jazz venue. Ok to go in solo. Better if you go with a significant other or group. The jazz was amazing. The acoustics are exceptional in the space. The Big Bass player did his thing last night. Service for a jazz club was fast with food and drinks. The flavors were on point.“
“UPDATE: We've had a few let downs with the take out and don't order nearly as frequently anymore. Nothing terrible, but just not as good as it used to be.Original: A staple of my take-out habit. Consistently delicious. Great place for a date.“
“Fun spot for dinner and good food. Our server was very nice, yet didn't course out our food, so we had two pasta dishes and fish show up at the same time. The octopus starter was my favorite dish. The pasta and fish were also good, but not necessarily the hottest when we ate them, given everything arriving at once“
“For all the wine enthusiasts out there, Easy Company is a must-visit spot. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing their happy hour, and it was nothing short of fantastic. Their happy hour menu boasts a solid selection of wines, including Prosecco rose, Sauvignon blanc, Riesling, Malbec, and Merlot, all priced at just $10 per glass. Each wine was impeccably chosen and expertly served, making for a delightful tasting experience. Whether you prefer a crisp white or a bold red, Easy Company has something to satisfy every palate. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends over a glass of your favorite wine. I cannot recommend Easy Company enough to fellow wine lovers. With its stellar happy hour menu and charming atmosphere, it's sure to become your new favorite spot in town. Cheers“
“Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! It was a little busy and loud but can be expected on a Saturday night.Something to note if its your first time visiting, the host/hostess is located in front of the bar and not at the entrance, so just walk on in and check in at the bar area.We ordered the Deviled Eggs, Gougeres, Mussels, Duck and Steak. Drinks were Kentucky Rose (with ice) and Como La Flor, however the latter may no longer be served for Spring season. Dessert was the bread pudding, if I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a sauce or more of the caramel drizzle as it was a little dry.Everything was VERY good but maybe the Mussels and Gougeres win for best in show!!! Looking forward to next visit!Kid-friendliness: not really, but I dont have kids“
“Came here for brunch and it did not disappoint. My mom and I love french food and we had to check out this new place in town. First off the service went the extra mile to help us get a extra seat on a busy Sunday. Their reservationist without a doubt one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Definitely made us feel good before even walking in the door. We got some Bloody Marys to start. It was well balanced and we requested it extra spicy and it was. Well balanced and flavorful. My mom got the Quiche it was big and served with a side salad. She said it was very good rich and flavorful. She had to finish it because it was that good. It was well balanced with the mixed green salad adding freshness to the meal. I got the steak sandwich it was really good. Had a ton of flavor and the steak was tender. Coked mid rare which is the way I like it. The cheese was super gooy and rich. Bread was perfectly crispy and airy. It held its form even with all the drippings from the steak. Fries served with it were crispy and well seasoned. Our friend got a classic French omelette which was served with home fries. She said it was good but more plane than she was expecting. The interior is classic french restaurant looks fantastic. Overall a delicious meal cant wait to try the dinner menu another time.“
“My servers name was Andrew, and he was Fabulous!! His personality mixed with attentiveness and knowledge of spirits, makes him a top notch asset to this restaurant.....Food, drinks, and ambiance made this experience unforgettable. This along with the 5 star service I received from Andrew will definitely make me a repeat guest. And it doesnr hurt that he's handsome!“
“The Eastern is just a couple of blocks from my daughter and son-in-law and is our go to place when we visit them in DC. They have a fabulous menu, however, we love the small shareable plates. The pork sliders, glazed carrots and pimento cheese dip are wonderful. The wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive and always ready to suggest a wine to pair with our food. We love the atmosphere and the local vibe and are warmly greeted like old friends. Love this place.“
“The service is top-notch. They're very passionate and committed to quality Neapolitan food and it shows. Servers are very nice and attentive. I had the prosciutto and cantaloupe for an appetizer, which also comes with arugula. Very fresh and delicious. I decided to go with the veggie pizza, which tasted divine. The tiramisu and americano were dessert. Again, well-done!!!“
“Simply put, one of the 10 best wine bars I’ve ever been to in my life. Brent is amazing, knowledgeable, fun, and really cares about the wines he curates and your understanding of them. He knows and cares about his regulars — and newbies. There’s no better wine experience in DC - and it’s not close.“
“They definitely don't do things by half measures here, this place is flamboyant in the best way. Huge portion sizes, huge amount of decorations, huge hospitality. We went during spring and they had Easter decorations EVERYWHERE. Started off with their meatballs, which were tender and flavorful (loved the marinara sauce they used). I ordered the lobster cardinale, which was like if you married a really good lobster bisque together with pasta. It's pricey but they don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients (has giant chunks of perfectly cooked lobster). Definitely recommend. My sister had the sausage rigatoni, which was also very good, although didn't stand out to me as much. For dessert, we got the hazelnut cake, and our waiter even gave us some complimentary amaretto, which was a really nice way to finish the meal.“
“Came for a drink and the bar is pretty cool. I came by myself and the service was fast and friendly. They have beers on tap, all kinds of alcohol and snacks - make sure you are not hungry when you come in. The setting is great, downstairs, large bar, lots of seating. Definitely a fun place to get a drink even on a Sunday night.“
“I enjoyed a quick dinner solo before grabbing a flight home. Everything was truly excellent. I enjoyed the aramanagc old fashioned, burgundy escargot and braised short rib. I'd highly recommend Chez Billy if you're visiting Georgetown.“
“A favorite of mine in DC. I hadn't been since before the pandemic, and was happy to see that everything which made the restaurant good was still present. A well-rounded menu, a very good wine selection with a range of price points and the always excellent service. The food is so good, and the care taken by the staff is top notch. You don't feel rushed, get to enjoy the experience. Highly recommended.“
“What a great addition to Capitol Hill-- delicious food, good atmosphere, reasonable prices. I'm going to get some friends together soon to check out the upstairs open air patio (with heater if needed). So far I've enjoyed the salmon entre and the delicious--and authentic--lobster roll. There's lots more on the menu for me to check out!“
“Larger than it looks from the outside, this is a down to earth french restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Before you make a decision on your meal, wait to hear what the specials -- we had a few at our table that made last-minute changes! We had a white Rhone wine that was delicious. The servings are tasty and ample. The upstairs Is a little quieter, although while lively, it id not overly noisy in any location“
“This place is highly underrated and needs your business. Why? Incredible wine selection, quality food, super kind staff, vibey music, and reasonable prices. You want to wait an hour or two to go eat at El Presidente, Pastis, and St. Anselm? Me neither. Those restaurants are great but we are overlooking this hidden gem. Pictured: valtellina bruschette, marinated olives, and seafood paella.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an ADA ramp to get to the restaurant.“
“This is a wonderful gem of a restaurant in Georgetown. Very cute, clean crisp white tablecloths and a soft pink hue from the side lighting. Everything we ordered was divine - from the fried calamari and hummus appetizers, to the pistachio crusted mahi/grouper to dessert was tasty and beautifully presented. Impeccable service. Would definitely come back!“
“This is a pretty nice lowkey wine spot in the Georgetown area. It was a little hard to find initially since it's on the inside of a hotel. The decor is eye catching as a bright neon sign welcomes you into the space with grassy walls and a few small tables inside, and outside more of the same in the patio area with heaters as well to accommodate the cold months. They have a wide variety of options domestic and abroad by the glass or bottle or you can even do flights with 2 half glasses or 4 full glasses for $15 or $25 respectively. I ended up trying out a couple glasses of their 2021 elio perrone moscato d'asti and the 2020 Xanudo chardonnay. The Chardonnay was my favorite of the two the taste was pretty complex but had a buttery and smooth finish and the moscato was solid not overly sweet. All in all this seems like a great venue to have a night cap or for a date night so I definitely recommend paying them a visit.“
“Rotating menu but always something I like. I especially loved the bleu cheese pasta they recently had. Wine flights are fun and good selections. The new chocolate olive oil cake was so good I only have a crumb left, so no photo. We had it with the port flight but I think it would pair with many options.“
“Absolutely outstanding experience! From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the mouthwatering selection of pizza, this place has it all. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail of our dining experience was perfect. The pizzas are a culinary delight – perfectly cooked crust, fresh and flavorful toppings. This is now my go-to spot for the best food in town. Five stars without a doubt!“
“I came here with a reservation to celebrate my birthday and the experience was well worth it. Getting to the restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel and easy to get to. I was greeted and quickly seated. Kim the server was amazing, they have a pianist in the center of the restaurant who is very good.I had a Large crab cake which came with a creamy sauce as an appetizer. The taste of the crab cake was good, but the sauce really made it stand out.I then had their Maine lobster which you have the option to get with, or without Imperial. The lobster is cooked then the inner-side is removed and stuffed with crab cake and shrimp in addition to the lobster then is placed back into the shell. I thought about adding the sauce that came with my appetizer but was concerned it would take away the seafood flavor and make everything too soggy. Im glad I didnt and just added lemons and the butter that already came with it.Whenever I come back to DC this will be my spot and will look forward to trying out their steaks.“
“My husband and I went to Alta Strada for dinner before a show at the Capital One Arena. It was amazing. Their staff and team were so sweet and so much fun. They are clearly very passionate about customer service and their food! We loved our entire experience and already decided to make that our go to spot before shows!!“
“Barkada hosted our private event and we were awestruck by the level of detail and care put into every element of our night. The atmosphere was chic and inviting, the drinks were delicious and unique, and we absolutely loved getting to know the professionals who made it all happen. I wholeheartedly recommend this space to anyone who wants to have a memorable event. We will definitely be back—we could not love this place more!!“
“Walked in without reservations but they were happy to seat us at the bar. Cocktails were amazing and beautifully done, the bartender was great and very friendly! Food was delicious - we had the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and the carbonara and chicken piccata. Didn’t try dessert but the entrees were incredible and very authentic-tasting, would highly recommend!“
“The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was delicious as usual. I have ordered this particular dish for over 13 years there, seeing the price go from $14 to $21 over the years. Service was good and fast. It's one of my favorite places in the DC metro area.“
“Went here with a friend on a Thursday. We made reservations online which I recommend because it can get crowded around dinner time. Then started bread was good. I got this gnocchi truffle pasta and my friend got bolognese. She really liked hers! I did enjoy mine but it felt like it was missing just a little extra flavor. It was still a good experienc. Sat the patio which was heated and very nicely decorated. I’d love to come back and try other pastas!“
“Amparo Fondita is the restaurant that replaced Pesce. They did a great job re-decorating it and the bar area looks especially inviting. We came here with a friend and had a great time. The Margaritas were awesome as was the food and service. The price was higher than expected, but given the world of inflation these days I guess I shouldn't be surprised.“
“Quaint neighborhood restaurant with good Italian food and good drinks. Nice vibe with friendly staff. Food was pleasant — wish the portions of lasagna were a little larger. Very good Caesar salad and tasty Negroni. Would definitely return.“
“Five stars all around. This was our first time at LuLu’s and we’ll definitely be back. 100% a place you want to bring a date or friends and family from out of town. Food was good, decent portions for the price, and the vibe was great - lighting that wasn’t obnoxiously dark or bright, music that was meant to be in the background so you could hear it but also talk at a normal volume, and cool seating near heaters if you just wanted to chill with a drink instead of having a whole meal. The Manager was the best I’ve interacted with, when I brought up missing avocado on my sandwich she was awesome about it; and when it turned out I was wrong - I didn’t actually check the box for avocado - the she was so gracious, didn’t give me grief, and still hooked us up with some cake (don’t let the picture fool you into thinking it’s boxed cake, it’s not, it’s the most amazing leche cake). Seriously, not a flaw to be found.PS The whipped feta is going to be the best you’ve ever had and the avocado ceasar is delish.“
“Very cozy place to beThe staff it’s amazing and I was very good take care of Eduar and Liana also Mariano the cook it’s an amazing guyThey’re sweet and what I love the most is their pastry that vegan banana bread it’s outstanding delicious such a nice place to hang out with friends ?Vegetarian options: It’s not much but enough for some vegan person a like me“
“Visited this place in DC last weekend with family and it's the best! The pre-dinner bar experience was delightful with excellent martinis. The waiter made it special by asking about our celebration. With a party of seven, we tried different entree's and everyone was impressed with the quality and portions size. The waiter was helpful with menu suggestions. We felt right at home 10/10, definitely coming back !“
