“Absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant during my stay at the Ritz-Carlton. The breakfast was consistently delicious, and I appreciated the staff going above and beyond, especially when they tracked down the peach cream cheese after it was no longer on the menu. The bar area has a fantastic vibe; I even caught the NBA Finals there and had a great time socializing with fellow guests. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!“

“Such a great experience celebrating our 41st anniversary at Seasons 52! Our server, Ben, was extremely gracious and made sure we were able to take our time, and celebrate our special evening. He made sure to time each course perfectly in time with our own pace. We really appreciate the management and chef at Seasons! They were very generous with a champagne toast, a special tuna tartare anniversary presentation, and a special celebratory dessert! Of course, we topped it off with their signature mini-desserts of key lime pie and the cheesecake & caramel. Each of our courses was superb - from the appetizer of the charcuterie board, to the lobster bisque soup, and the excellent wood-grilled filet mignon made perfectly to my wife's and my liking! “Today my husband and I had the opportunity to dine at Fleming. The staff was AMAZING! Matt, the manager was on top of every request, need, and want. As soon as anyone in the restaurant needed anything, we witnessed him assisting the service staff to make sure that it was done immediately. He is the type of manager that people dream of! Wish he were on my team. Luis was our server and was great! He was on top of our every need, was attentive, and easily on of the best servers I've ever had. To round out the team, Juan was behind Luis with any additional support that we needed. Quiet professional with great service; Quick, fast, and in a hurry. The ambiance of the restaurant is hard to find in DC. It was quiet enough for a one on one conversation, but energetic enough to make sure that we were not bored. The food was top notch! My stomach hurts because I should have tapped out 15 minutes ago but the food was too good to stop. I'd recommend the Leviathan wine and tomahawk steak. We are big eaters and could not finish our salads and soup, steak, or desserts! My husband highly recommends the French onion soup, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. “I hosted a friend’s birthday party at ShipGarten and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the staff was absolutely amazing. They made the entire planning process easy and stress-free, with clear, quick, and efficient communication every step of the way. They were incredibly accommodating. The food was great, my favorites were the funnel cake fries and the guacamole. The Cider was delicious!!! The venue itself is fantastic for hosting events, and I highly recommend ShipGarten for birthdays, gatherings, or any special occasion. Service was superb as well, the waitress actually grilled the meat for us. They had non alcoholic beverage options. It’s been years since I had bingsoo and cold buckwheat noodles with beef broth so it was very sentimental for me to have those dishes again! Atmosphere was definitely more upscale than a regular Korean bbq restaurant.“

Myself and four others went here for dinner on a Sunday night and it was phenomenal!
Phoebe did a fantastic job answering our questions about the menu and providing recommendations. When we all decided to do The Classics on the Chef's Menu, Phoebe made sure our wants and needs were addressed, and her and the kitchen provided the most incredible selection of tapas. If my memory serves, we received about 5 or 6 different tapas and two paellas. Then, at the end, the churros were included in the cost.
Overall, the value, quality, and service were all superior and when we're in DC again, we will be back.“

“If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.“

“I’m a big fan of this micro business. The place is 50% wine shop 50% curio shop and 50% wine bar. That’s 150% and it’s totally correct. Zena the proprietor is a real hoot. She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine without being at all stuffy. The small selection o bottles offered here for retail sale are expertly curated by her. She knows each bottle intimately and can talk knowledgeably with a wine snob or a mere drunkard.

The real star of the show are her homemade desserts. She does a take on Little Debbie oatmeal snack cakes that is very nearly orgasmic. The chocolate cake is also a star. Try something from the dessert menu and you won’t be disappointed.

The curio shop has wine themed merchandise ranging from the witty to outright bawdy. You will find decanters, rubber ducks, and funny towels. Plus, she has an excellent selection of chocolates.

“We had never tried Afghani food before, and I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They recommended the Mini Taste of Arocostia for our first time. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. They packed all our leftovers into boxes for us for our way home. We will definitely be going back!“

It’s a compact space, but with the carpeted floors and drapes they have it doesn’t get overwhelmingly loud so that you can’t hear other people.

All checks include a 20% service charge, which they fully disclose on the menu and say when giving you your check, which I appreciated!“

“So I get to DCA to find out my next flight was delayed for three hours so I walked around looking for a cosy calm place. I passed all the big names that were flat out over crowded by everyone in a hurry including the servers that wanted to get you in and out. This place is a perfect fit if you want to snack on quality food. The bar had a good number of patron already and yet it was not loud.
The first thing that caught my attention was the Burrata with tomatoes and Prosciutto. It was really good not to different from what I would do at home. When I was looking at the wine list I saw they had Old Fashions on the list so I asked the bar tender if it was hand made and she looked at me like how else would it be... Mind you the last airport used a premix bottled and threw it in a shaker be for they served me the abomination they called an old fashioned. Anyhow the bar tender went straight for the Woodford and made a badass Old Fashioned. Guys this place has more of a Italian/Spaniards spin on meets and cheeses and they have a good wine selection. Hands down this is the better place in the airport.“

A Hidden Gem in Old Town Alexandria!

Alice Cocktail Bar exceeded every expectation and delivered an absolutely phenomenal dining and cocktail experience from start to finish.

The cocktails were outstanding. I started with the Alice, a beautifully crafted blend of Roku Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, Lychee Liqueur, Butterfly Pea, Yuzu, and Egg White. It was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. I also enjoyed the Gold Rush, made with Four Roses Bourbon, Cointreau, Honey, Yuzu, and Egg White—a smooth, flavorful cocktail that quickly became a favorite.

My partner ordered the Beach House and the Flamingo, both of which were exceptional. The Beach House combined Espolon Blanco, Banhez Mezcal, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Aperol, and Lime for a tropical burst of flavor. The Flamingo was equally delicious and was served in an adorable tiki glass that added a fun touch to the experience.

For appetizers, we ordered the Crab Rangoon and the Grilled Pork Sticky Rice. Let me just say—both were A1 delicious. The pork was perfectly marinated and grilled, and paired wonderfully with the sticky rice and chili garlic lime sauce.

For our entrées, we had the Crab Fried Rice and the Phuket Seafood. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. The Phuket Seafood, loaded with mixed seafood, onions, scallions, bell peppers, young peppercorns, sweet basil, carrots, and roasted chili sauce, was bursting with flavor. Chef’s kiss! The Crab Fried Rice was equally impressive. In my book, both dishes are award-winning.

What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our waitresses were attentive, knowledgeable, and spot-on with their recommendations throughout the evening. Their hospitality made an already fantastic experience even better.

Overall, Alice Cocktail Bar earns an easy A++. Amazing drinks, outstanding food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere. I cannot wait to return.

We had the burrata flatbread appetizer and two versions of the gnocchi - one with the tuna bolognese and one with burre blanc and cheese. The tuna works better than it sounds and the burre blanc was superb. The gnocchi were flavorful but a bit over cooked and mushy. The flatbread was tasty but, with one big lump of burrata in the middle, it was hard to divide even though it was cut in four pieces and the burrata was gone in one quick nibble, leaving the rest of the slice sadly empty. I appreciated the manageable smallish-plate size portions, but at these prices others may not. Note that a 20% service charge was added to the menu, even for a party of four.“
