“Today my husband and I had the opportunity to dine at Fleming. The staff was AMAZING! Matt, the manager was on top of every request, need, and want. As soon as anyone in the restaurant needed anything, we witnessed him assisting the service staff to make sure that it was done immediately. He is the type of manager that people dream of! Wish he were on my team. Luis was our server and was great! He was on top of our every need, was attentive, and easily on of the best servers I've ever had. To round out the team, Juan was behind Luis with any additional support that we needed. Quiet professional with great service; Quick, fast, and in a hurry. The ambiance of the restaurant is hard to find in DC. It was quiet enough for a one on one conversation, but energetic enough to make sure that we were not bored. The food was top notch! My stomach hurts because I should have tapped out 15 minutes ago but the food was too good to stop. I'd recommend the Leviathan wine and tomahawk steak. We are big eaters and could not finish our salads and soup, steak, or desserts! My husband highly recommends the French onion soup, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. Overall the service, ambiance, food, and staff were wayyyyyy more than we expected. We look forward to patronizing this location again. I wish I had pics, but we ate too fast.“

“We held a dinner for a party of 14 people and were blown away by the food and service. Despite being a relatively small party, the event manager was incredibly responsive and willing to help from the first moment we entered the restaurant. We were able to select a preset menu and everything on it was delicious. The waiters were friendly, kind, and attentive. “We used to be frequent guests at The Capital Grille in Chevy Chase, but it had been quite some time since our last visit. Returning felt like coming home, and our experience exceeded every expectation.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, whose genuine friendliness immediately made us feel valued. The first wonderful surprise of the evening was seeing our longtime server, Gabriel, from Tunisia. Even after all this time, he remembered us, which made our return incredibly special.

Gabriel is the perfect example of outstanding hospitality. He is professional, attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and remarkably detail-oriented. He took the time to answer all of our questions about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and anticipated every need throughout our meal. His warmth and genuine care transformed an already wonderful dinner into an unforgettable experience.

Another highlight of the evening was meeting the manager, Paulin (I apologize if I misspelled her name). She greeted us with a bright smile and such sincere kindness that we immediately felt welcomed. She introduced herself, checked on our dining experience, and encouraged us to let her know if there was anything we needed. Her professionalism, combined with her warm and caring personality, truly stood out.

While another table was celebrating a birthday, I casually mentioned that my birthday had been a few weeks earlier and joked that perhaps we should celebrate future birthdays at The Capital Grille. To our complete surprise, Paulin returned with colorful birthday confetti for our table—a thoughtful gesture that genuinely touched us. But she didn't stop there. At the end of our meal, she surprised us again with a beautifully decorated birthday dessert complete with a candle. It was such an unexpected act of kindness that made us feel truly celebrated and deeply appreciated.

Before leaving, we also had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Mr. Scott. He was gracious, personable, and genuinely appreciative of our compliments about Gabriel, the exceptional food, and the wonderful hospitality we had received. Taking the time to personally thank us was another example of the outstanding leadership and customer care that define this restaurant.

This was much more than an excellent meal—it was a memorable experience. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome and valued.

The Capital Grille offers the elegance and sophistication of a world-class steakhouse while maintaining the warmth, personal attention, and genuine hospitality that make guests feel at home. That combination is rare, and it is what turns a wonderful dinner into a lasting memory.

“Wonderful service and excellent food. I wanted a NY Strip Steak and I got one - grilled perfectly. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her grilled salmon and my daughter - 10 years old and very picky - was treated respectfully and was well- accommodated. Highly recommended.“

“The staff and food were amazing and they really went out of their way to accommodate restrictions I had while dining there. They also made our anniversary feel very special. The whole flow of the meal and the set up of everything was really neat. While we enjoyed our food, the meal was way overpriced. It should’ve been half the price. We have never spent that much on a meal and that is saying a lot because we’ve been to a lot of nice places, but I don’t think 99% of food should cost as much as this meal did. The chef himself was there and he was a very friendly guy. This will be our only time going here, but it will be an experience. I will remember.“

“Nicely decorated steakhouse. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. Our table was nicely decorated with anniversary decor. Our waiter, Reda (not sure of spelling) was wonderful and the service was excellent. Their sourdough bread with whipped butter was very tasty. We ordered the wet age rib eye, the prime rib, brussel sprouts and french fries. Everything was cooked to perfection. The portion of the sides was more than enough for two people. The chocolate souffle was the perfect ending to our meal. Their prices are comparable to other steakhouses in the area and would definitely visit again. They have valet parking and the also validate parking in the garage.“
