“Having lately dined at The Capital Grille in the federal city of Washington, I found myself most agreeably surprised. The rooms were dark, handsome, and quietly appointed, and the attendants shewed a courtesy that would not have disgraced a well-ordered house in London. Glasses were filled without asking, and every dish arrived as if by an unseen intelligence. The beef was tender and finely crusted, the sides fancifully prepared. Nothing of tawdry excess spoiled the fare. I left the table thoroughly satisfied, and should not hesitate to commend the place to any traveller whose affairs carry him to that infant capital.“

Despite being a relatively small party, the event manager was incredibly responsive and willing to help from the first moment we entered the restaurant. We were able to select a preset menu and everything on it was delicious. The waiters were friendly, kind, and attentive. Everything went beyond expectations and it was a real pleasure and we would not doubt in repeating.“
