Right when we walked in (out of a huge rainstorm), a staff member put a towel by the door for us to place our umbrellas on while another staff member immediately found us a table to seat our big group. I thought about adding the sauce that came with my appetizer but was concerned it would take away the seafood flavor and make everything too soggy. Let me just start by saying that when I told my husband what our dining experience would be like, he was very skeptical. He is an amateur fighter, and when he is not doing “fighting camps” he LOVES to eat. When we arrived he was already making plans to go eat arepas after, to finish filling his tummy. Needles to say, arepas did not happen after, as he was extremely full from all the courses. Each meal was beautifully presented, and tasted just as divine! We loved knowing what each meal represented and they are all a beautiful homage to Colombia. The atmosphere in El Cielo, is very cozy.
