Fish Shop Restaurant Reviews
The Fish Shop DC was amazing. My family went for my husband's birthday lunch and I would say this place is one of the best spots in Wharf. The restaurant space was made with such creative ideas and a lot of space. We took our infant and had enough space for strollers.
The food was incredibly delicious and our server Nishi was amazing!
We will definitely return for more food!

Fish Shop Restaurant, located on the Wharf in DC, offers a pleasant atmosphere with a large space, well spaced tables, and outdoor seating on a quieter part of the Wharf. The decor is nautical, authentic, and thoughtfully connected to the restaurant’s Scottish roots, creating a beautifully artistic space. The service is exceptional and attentive, with staff explaining everything well. The food receives mixed feedback: the starters are great, including the tuna carpaccio with lots of interesting flavors and the peach tomato Gazpacho. The halibut is delicious, and the tuna comes with a rich glaze and sauce well balanced by a fresh side. The fresh cornbread is buttery and enough to share between four people. The prix fixe lunch is an excellent deal, featuring the peach gazpacho, blackened catfish, and coconut sorbet. The coconut sorbet is so rich that it seems dairy free. The Campanian white wine is pleasantly sweet, dry, and citrusy. The Old Bay french fries are lightly but amply seasoned and enjoyable. The curry dish with fish is so good, and the half dozen oysters and heirloom tomato salad are delicious. The lemon granita on the raw oysters is a special touch. Great cocktails are also available. However, some find the fish sandwiches and ceviche have pretty small amounts of fish for the price, and the smash burger is actually just a regular burger. Overall, it is a great place for evening drinks and some snacks with friends.
