“Very good place overall, but something that has been bothering me recently is the filter/house coffee. It's incredibly watered down. The coffee looks like tinted water and hardly has any flavor. This may be because I'm getting my coffee around noon (I've been there in the mornings and it tends to be thicker plus I appreciate the bottomless mug) but still, I'd expect a solid house coffee before 2 or 3 and not something that tastes like the grounds have been filtered 2-3x. So please guys, load that filter up even a bit after the morning joe rush. They tend to have forty-six (i think by Counter Culture Coffee) and a featured single-origin, both of which, when there's more than a 1 to 50ish coffee to water ratio, are very good.As for the food, the bakery items are delicious and varied. I like the smoked smoked salmon and egg breakfast sandwich. Just be prepared for the hardly-cooked egg to explode in your face, so either press down on it first and it'll saturate your sandwich (if that's your thing) or try to get them to at least cook it medium. I asked twice and they did so once. I didn't mind that much, though, and the bun was worth it. Also I'd probably suggest having the chocolate croissant's filling more spread out rather than two slightly narrow and hard lines that feels kind of shrinkwrapped-style.Not a super diverse crowd but that comes with the territory--similar to the demographics of the Falls Church City in which it resides, maybe a little more (btw this is not to be confused with the broader "Falls Church" address within Fairfax County which is significantly more diverse). To compare with nearby Rare Bird Coffee Roasters, this is more establishment (NoVa style) meets new--and very cool nooks and crannies with a rustic vibe, complete with three charming outdoor spaces on three levels. Meanwhile, Rare Bird is more minimalist, with a yuppie (generally more diverse) crowd lined up quietly tapping away on their laptops, super nice hipster staff, plus some neat plants and paintings. Northside Social is, as the name suggests, more in twos or small business meetings. Northside is more of a restaurant whereas rare bird is more of a pure coffee shop, though the bakery items are delicious and the morning bread is healthy and filling.Now this has become more of a dual review, but since you may be looking into both, hopefully that's a little helpful. ☕Wheelchair accessibility: has easy to access ramp with gentle slope“

“One of my favorite restaurants! They have incredible options for gluten and dairy-free diners. Veggies instead of bread for dips, homemade almond yogurt to replace any yogurt in entrees. We had the mini tasting menu and there were very few adjustments needed. Absolutely delicious, especially the squash side, the lamb chops, the chicken in yogurt-based sauce, the rice with carrots and raisins, and tasty cocktails. “This is a gem of a spot in Cleveland Park! I discovered it one day and now I’m a regular and have started bringing my friends. Who all have said they wanna come back. The restaurant is small, but intimate and the food is amazing. The Scallops are a must try. Every time I’ve gone and sat at the bar and have always had an amazing experience. Kyle & Victor are so knowledgeable on their wines and just make the experience 10x better. The playful pairings on the menu are also another highlight and a lot of fun. “Second time to Ceibo and it once again did not disappoint. Start first with the excellent, interesting, and perfectly made craft cocktails. Next move on to the food, everything is exceptional and intriguing. It's hard not to order the entire menu. You can't quite place the food concept; part Latin flavors, part Italian, part Asian, but how this team has put it together just works. Each dish is beautifully plated and with appropriate portions for a filling meal. Everyone reported their dishes to be both delicious and unexpected. One of the most exciting food experiences in DC right now. Last, the restaurant itself is minimalist, but reminded me of a hip restaurant in Mexico City. The tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel you are eating with your neighbors and the noise level is lively but not loud, so you can have a relaxed conversation with your dinner mates. The dining space is split between an upper level and a lover level. The bar is on the lower level, so feels a bit more lively than the upper level. “A+ for service and atmosphere! The live music/flamenco dancing was vibrant and delightful. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was a hit or miss. For the tapas, the whisky pork tenderloin with potatoes was cooked well but the sauce had an odd tang to it. It may be an acquired taste and not for everyone. The grilled eggplant was soggier than expected and I don’t think I’ll get it next time. The Serrano ham and manchego cheese appetizer on the other hand, was absolutely scrumptious! The chicken and seafood paella (the reason why we chose this restaurant) was a big let down…the dish was way too salty and I couldn’t fully enjoy it without downing water. The chicken and mussels/clams however, were tender and cooked well. The churros and chocolate dip for dessert were divine.“

Based on other reviews, we made reservations to be on the safe side. It was a rainy Wednesday when we went so there was plenty of seating available. We were greeted and taken to our table immediately. We started with cocktails. The white rabbit is a tequila based cocktail and was quite refreshing. We also ordered the chicken wings and curry puffs as appetizers. We were not a fan of the wings but the curry puffs were amazing! For the entree, I ordered chicken pad thai was very authentic and topped with peanuts and fresh bean sprouts. I really enjoyed this flavorful dish. This is a very intimate spot and the entire staff was attentive to all of the guests. I plan on returning to try more food options and upscale cocktails. “They definitely don't do things by half measures here, this place is flamboyant in the best way. Huge portion sizes, huge amount of decorations, huge hospitality. We went during spring and they had Easter decorations EVERYWHERE. Started off with their meatballs, which were tender and flavorful (loved the marinara sauce they used). I ordered the lobster cardinale, which was like if you married a really good lobster bisque together with pasta. It's pricey but they don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients (has giant chunks of perfectly cooked lobster). Definitely recommend. My sister had the sausage rigatoni, which was also very good, although didn't stand out to me as much. For dessert, we got the hazelnut cake, and our waiter even gave us some complimentary amaretto, which was a really nice way to finish the meal.“

“This is a pretty nice lowkey wine spot in the Georgetown area. It was a little hard to find initially since it's on the inside of a hotel. The decor is eye catching as a bright neon sign welcomes you into the space with grassy walls and a few small tables inside, and outside more of the same in the patio area with heaters as well to accommodate the cold months. They have a wide variety of options domestic and abroad by the glass or bottle or you can even do flights with 2 half glasses or 4 full glasses for $15 or $25 respectively. I ended up trying out a couple glasses of their 2021 elio perrone moscato d'asti and the 2020 Xanudo chardonnay. The Chardonnay was my favorite of the two the taste was pretty complex but had a buttery and smooth finish and the moscato was solid not overly sweet. All in all this seems like a great venue to have a night cap or for a date night so I definitely recommend paying them a visit.“

“Idlywood is a favorite spot for dinner. The service is excellent, with a good selection of wines and an atmosphere that permits conversation at normal speaking levels. We tried a couple of new dishes as well as a favorite appetizer (shrimp ajo) and salmon Caesar. We haven't been disappointed in any of the salmon selections. The branzino is also a favorite. The chicken parmesan, a new item , was especially good. Highly recommended.“
