“We were completely and pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. They were a bit understaffed but that seems to be a challenge many restaurants are experiencing. Our server was attentive and friendly. The salmon was delicious, the Wagyu burger as well. The wings were flavorful but not overwhelmingly hot. But the highlight were the French fries. Probably the best we’ve had.“

FOOD 9.5/10 : Everything here is small plates. Well, not EVERYTHING, but mostly, get small plates with the expectation of sharing. Our server Gabriella made this clear at the beginning, and it was easy to add more food. The things that were suggested were delightful.

SERVICE: 12/10 Without flaw. The restaurant really is a tightly run ship. Dishes we were done with were taken by seemingly any staff member with free hands, and never lingered on the table. The ... Maitre d? Manager? Madea especially did everything she could to make a Wednesday night date night special, especially by sharing her expertise and showcasing outstanding judgment when it came to picking the perfect wine. She was clearly a busy woman, but at no moment did we feel like an inconvenience.

VIBE: 9/10 I would prefer to dress up for a place like this, but I saw plenty of people in street clothes. It was a casual enough vibe that everyone seemed welcome despite their attire. The decorations were tasteful. Seating was comfortable. This was not the sort of place insistent on flipping tables ASAP. The lighting was a little dim for anyone who needs reading glasses. Toilet paper was above average quality for a restaurant, but not lavish.

WINE LIST: well organized, easy to read, but tailored towards those who are already knowledgeable. I saw several wines I had never heard of, but since there was knowledgeable staff on hand to help guide one to a wine (that blew our socks off and make us question whether every wine we've ever previously had was a waste of taste buds) we weren't intimidated. The wine glasses were nice.

COST: a well padded dinner for two was ~$280. It was worth it. We will be back.“

“I wanted to say that I have been several times over the years. Although things are a little pricey they are always well done and delicious. In addition, I wanted to give a special shout out to Nicki who is a ray of sunshine and always goes the extra mile to ensure that customers are taken care of. To finish, the lavender lattes are a particular favorite of mine and the tempura crab cakes I had most recently were really divine. 4.75 stars“

Dining consists mostly of small plates, although there are entree salads that are very good, as well as soup and sandwich entrees which are also very good. Service was superb as well, the waitress actually grilled the meat for us. They had non alcoholic beverage options. It’s been years since I had bingsoo and cold buckwheat noodles with beef broth so it was very sentimental for me to have those dishes again! Atmosphere was definitely more upscale than a regular Korean bbq restaurant.“

As soon as anyone in the restaurant needed anything, we witnessed him assisting the service staff to make sure that it was done immediately. He is the type of manager that people dream of! Wish he were on my team. Luis was our server and was great! He was on top of our every need, was attentive, and easily on of the best servers I've ever had. To round out the team, Juan was behind Luis with any additional support that we needed. Quiet professional with great service; Quick, fast, and in a hurry. The ambiance of the restaurant is hard to find in DC. It was quiet enough for a one on one conversation, but energetic enough to make sure that we were not bored. The food was top notch! My stomach hurts because I should have tapped out 15 minutes ago but the food was too good to stop. I'd recommend the Leviathan wine and tomahawk steak. We are big eaters and could not finish our salads and soup, steak, or desserts! My husband highly recommends the French onion soup, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. “My friends and I dined here for my birthday in March after leaving a nearby restaurant that failed to meet my expectations. This was my first time visiting Ruth’s Chris, but I had always heard great things about the restaurant. When we got to our table, they had confetti and a card waiting for me. I felt welcomed and really appreciated the gesture. The restaurant was pretty empty due to Lent but the ambiance was amazing and the music choice was 10/10.

The food was amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. I got the chicken and it did not disappoint. We all got something from the bar and we were very pleased. The crème brûlée was the best I’d ever tasted at any restaurant I’ve visited. They also provided a birthday dessert that was pretty good.

Our server, Mason, was AMAZING. Some of the best service I’ve ever had a restaurant. He was hospitable, engaging, and upbeat. He got all of our orders correct and checked in on us to make sure we were satisfied. The server assistant, Sergio, was also very kind and attentive. Last but not least, the manager, Bill, was just as kind and welcoming. Not only did they provide stellar service in general, they did so on very short notice. Bill and his team did an excellent job and I will be returning to this location in the future because of all their efforts. Kudos to everyone that was working that night for providing us with such a wonderful experience.“
