“I’m a big fan of this micro business. The place is 50% wine shop 50% curio shop and 50% wine bar. That’s 150% and it’s totally correct. Zena the proprietor is a real hoot. She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine without being at all stuffy. The small selection o bottles offered here for retail sale are expertly curated by her. She knows each bottle intimately and can talk knowledgeably with a wine snob or a mere drunkard.

The real star of the show are her homemade desserts. She does a take on Little Debbie oatmeal snack cakes that is very nearly orgasmic. The chocolate cake is also a star. Try something from the dessert menu and you won’t be disappointed.

The curio shop has wine themed merchandise ranging from the witty to outright bawdy. You will find decanters, rubber ducks, and funny towels. Plus, she has an excellent selection of chocolates.

“So I get to DCA to find out my next flight was delayed for three hours so I walked around looking for a cosy calm place. I passed all the big names that were flat out over crowded by everyone in a hurry including the servers that wanted to get you in and out. This place is a perfect fit if you want to snack on quality food. The bar had a good number of patron already and yet it was not loud.
The first thing that caught my attention was the Burrata with tomatoes and Prosciutto. It was really good not to different from what I would do at home. When I was looking at the wine list I saw they had Old Fashions on the list so I asked the bar tender if it was hand made and she looked at me like how else would it be... Mind you the last airport used a premix bottled and threw it in a shaker be for they served me the abomination they called an old fashioned. Anyhow the bar tender went straight for the Woodford and made a badass Old Fashioned. Guys this place has more of a Italian/Spaniards spin on meets and cheeses and they have a good wine selection. Hands down this is the better place in the airport.“

We came all the way from Baltimore and plan on making this a regular stop. My wife and I split the wedge salad and the 32oz cowboy ribeye. It was perfection.“

“Five stars for what they do alone...proceeds from Stray Cat Cafe and Lost Dog Sandwiches and Pizza next door donated to animal rescue. The menu at Stray Cat is a bit more sophisticated than the sandwiches and pizza next door - reliable comfort food. Pictures of cats adorn the walls. What's not to love here? Good craft beer list too, just like next door.“

“Staff always takes very good care of me when I have my meetings and they always enable me to sit at my favorite table for meetings, which is in a very quiet part of the restaurant. The food is normally outstanding. I was just a little disappointed by the crabcake sandwich that didn't seem like it had actually been cooked. But that is like the only time I've ever been disappointed and I go there very frequently.“

“Cafe Colline is spectacular. I had a toddler with me, was dressed in an adidas track suit, and wanted real food as we waited for someone working in the area. Most of the customers were much better dressed and without a child. Nothing wrong with this, just painting the picture. The staff could not have been nicer and more professional. We were greeted with open arms, sat immediately, and served with absolute professionalism. My food (the fish) was so good I considered licking the plate. They don’t necessarily have a kid’s menu but offered numerous things to make a toddler. I went with the burger and fries. They complimented this with numerous dipping sauces and made the burger to order. The charge was minimal and fair. I always clean up after him as toddlers can be messy and they insisted on letting them clean up (I did it anyway). Restrooms were spotless and the kitchen area you pass was very clean and well organized. It’s a small spot full of big talent. This will be a regular for us. A must dine.“

“The dinner was only "marred" by the entre trying to be serviced while we were still eating our appetizer. We could not believe that a restaurant of this quality would allow a service to bring out the main course while we were only half way through the appetizer. What does this mean? Well, in the states, it seems as though they are always trying to rush you through the meal to get the table free, but this restaurant does not have waiting lines like bonefish grill or those other type restaurants.“
