“My wife and I had brunch on the patio at the White House location today and it was fantastic! We had a mezze platter appetizer, Havana sandwich and shakshuka & arepas entrees, and tres leches for dessert. All were spectacular, as was the service! Highly recommended!“

“We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

“This is for the Silver Diner in Chantilly,VA. We live a little over 2 hours away but stopped here for dinner after car shopping and we were not disappointed! My husband and son both had milkshakes and burgers and I got the meatloaf. Classic diner menu but really elevated and creative. Everything was delicious, loved the decor, service was friendly and bathrooms were clean.“

“Having been coming here for the Southern Sparkler for years. Have always stayed with my usuals. One of us order Duck, the other the chicken. Those Gouda potatoes were the bomb. Dinner was a delight. Only disappointment was appetizer. The fried green tomatoes were lack luster. We would avoid them in future.“

“Good place overall but they do run the risk of simply being a pub/college bar vs actually being a Beirhall. The food menu needs to incorporate more German elements and considerably more seating is required to capture the bierhall theme. Too much of the business is a standing bar. Now to be clear thats fine and I'll still go but there is a big difference between a true bierhall and a Balston yuppy bar.“

“This was the first time we went to this restaurant and it was quite a treat. The brussels sprouts were excellent a new take on what we’ve had at other restaurants.. The tuna poke was also out of this world.. the burger that my daughter had was really good and I had the beef was phenomenal.

Equally important was the service given by our server Redlet — was knowledgeable very friendly and gave great suggestions. Thanks to him! Great job“

Although they don’t offer the brand’s full menu, the limited coffee selection—consistent with the main shop—serves coffee of the same high quality. The staff is very friendly; Sergio, in particular, helped us make our choices, and our server, Marcos, made sure we felt very comfortable.“

“I visited the Nordstrom Cafe in Virginia and had a great experience. The food was really good and everything was delicious.
