“First time here tonight. Our group of three had the cod tacos, steak wedge salad and Cubano sandwich and all was delicious. Our server was Shauna and she did a great job for us - listened well and made good recommendations for us - very personable and very good at her job. It was a little loud due to being crowded so a little hard to hear - otherwise nearly perfect experience. Would definitely go back!“
“Everything was great. The crab soup was just yummy! We had the steak appetizer which was good but the green sauce on the steak could be a little bit better. It was a little bit too herby. We also had the pork belly appetizer and whilst I do like cinnamon on occasion, I didn’t like it on the pork belly.“

“The menu and wine list has changed since our last time dining at BlackSalt. Actually had to return a bottle of French wine that was undrinkable/bitter.Fortunately, the wine server suggested a much better California wine that went well with the entrees. The food was great, as we expected.“
“I did a take out of their delicious Aloo and piyaz pakoras for our Iftari a week or so ago. The packaging was great which included a generous amount of their tasty green chutney. I glanced at their menu main items and their prices seemed high. Manager/owner and helper were polite and friendly. Great efficient service. Good restaurant atmosphere. I wish them success with their new desi restaurant.“
“This restaurant has a comfortable seating area with a relaxed atmosphere and serves fusion-style dishes, some with an Asian flair that is truly comforting. Last time, we tried the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, which had a hint of sesame soy sauce and crunchiness from the lettuce, making it the perfect appetizer. The Fettuccine Alfredo with parmesan cream sauce was good, and the Sweet and Spicy Ribs were sweet and tasty, with a kick from the Korean Gochugaru sauce. We enjoyed all aspects of the restaurant, including the decent service.“
“Ellie Bird has been on our list to try since they opened. Like their sister restaurant Rooster & Owl, the menu is both refined and rustic, with an emphasis on small plates great for sharing. We went for dinner and ordered the bread basket, spring green salad, Vietnamese french onion soup, salted cod rangoons, pomelo larb, braised lamb shank and chocolate cake. The pineapple buns are a carry over from Rooster & Owl that I’d happily eat with every meal. The Vietnamese french soup is aptly named, a wonderful combination of richly aromatic braised oxtail broth reminiscent of a fabulous pho with the oniony, cheesy, crouton goodness of a classic french onion. The rangoons are a perfect execution of an American Thai staple and the pomelo larb burst with flavor. The lamb shank, expertly cooked and glazed, was easily split between the two of us and sat on a bed of herbaceous tabouleh.A delay in getting us to our seats at the chefs counter resulted in several comped plates throughout the meal and we were very grateful for the above and beyond. The asparagus and pine berry salad added to our starter course was a true delight, who knew they were such a good pair!I’ll be interested to see how the restaurant continues to evolve. While Rooster & Owl remains our go-to for special occasions, we will absolutely come back to Ellie Bird with friends and family in tow and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.“
“I hosted my Brother’s 40th birthday party this past weekend at Carlyle! I planned this party from the Hampton Roads area, which is not local. Morgan and her team were there to answer questions for me and made this the BEST experience! I had tried booking other places for this event and everything was SO complicated or expensive. I’m so thankful for the previous people who left reviews about the food because it made Carlyle an EASY choice !The atmosphere here is ELEGANT and WARM at the same time. I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant for this party. The party guests loved their meals ! (Please try the Crab CAKES OMGOSH!!)We CLEANED our plates ! Do you hear me?!!! The food was SO good! Everyone had smiles on their faces and the service was EXCELLENT! Our servers were so respectful and responsive — we had a great time ! “Delicious!We visited on saturday lunch and were seated after few minutes of a wait.We ordered the wild mushroom flatbread, chicken benedict and the tuna salad.Everything was amazing!Flatbread had nice truffle aroma with ample mushroom toppings, tuna salad was fresh and cooked just right, but wow the biscuits on the benedict blew me away!!Service was cordial and straight to the point.Will return to try more menus“
