“The food appears... lesser quantity than in DC. The biscuits were smaller, and harder. I saw no bacon. The sausage (pork or chicken) was not "week done" as with the DC restaurant. Also there wasn't any shrimp. I got there at 9:am, and was told reservations were needed. So I Sat at the bar. Def a 3.5 rating on food here“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. “Awesome brunch! This place is a hidden gem.True culinary delight.Everything tasted fabulous! Chessy grits were incredible. Steak was tender. Wings were winging. Resturant was clean and inviting. The fact that it was next to veterinarian clinic threw me off initially but all good. Its has a great bar with lots of TV's, for sports watching. This is distant to be one of my favs in Alexandria. Highly recommend and will be back!“

One must eat their slice on site. I took the create 8 slices which was great. BUT the slice I ate there was beyond spectacular. The crispy delicate crust was lost at home compared to my experience at Andy's. Reheating pizza is an art, but there as something special at the restaurant. My first experience with Andy's but I already have favorites:
#1 - pepperoni
#2+ - mushroom & onion and the white.
I also purchased the Albe Barolo 2022 and enjoyed at home. Very berry, light, and did not disappoint. Paired well with the pizza!

“Good place overall but they do run the risk of simply being a pub/college bar vs actually being a Beirhall. The food menu needs to incorporate more German elements and considerably more seating is required to capture the bierhall theme. Too much of the business is a standing bar. Now to be clear thats fine and I'll still go but there is a big difference between a true bierhall and a Balston yuppy bar.“
