“I tried their food for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation of a new employee at my place of work. I was absolutely shocked by how delicious the sandwich was. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the rooster sauce was dynamite! After lunch, I recommended it to another coworker who then also ordered it for lunch and tried it for the first time. She said she had the same experience I had- life changing! If you’re looking for a chicken sandwich, this is the place to go!“

“Great food! Discovered this hidden gem a few months ago and now it’s one of our faves. Great variety of pizzas!! My youngest loves their naked wings! Thai chicken salad is awesome! “Food, service, and atmosphere were all good. Scallops I had were delicious. Non-sweet iced tea was fine. Asparagus was surprisingly good and crisp. Mashed potatoes were fine. The restaurant interior was nice and clean. The layout was less than ideal. Traveling to bathroom takes you past a semi open kitchen. Just odd.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. “Best classic American breakfast I've had in Northern Virginian. Comes as close to what I grew up with in the Tidewater area as I have had here in NOVA. Eggs were cooked and SEASONED nicely, bacon was CRISP, potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they were nice chunks. Ketchup had a flavor twist that was delicious. Coffee had a good flavor and the cup was huge. Prices were very competitive.“

“Was looking forward to trying The Wine House. Read great reviews and Restaurant Week seemed a good way to sample the menu. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess. The place is cute and casual, tho the food more upscale. Our food was very good, tho my spouse thought the lamb shank was dry. The chicken piccata was a different presentation - whole chicken breast in more of a light creamy sauce. Both entrees would have benefitted from a touch of salt. Our appetizers and desserts were very good.
Despite reading many reviews about great customer service and education about wine pairings and such, we received none of that. Our server was more going through the motions, offered no explanations when we said it was our first time here, no wine or food recommendations. He seemed rather distracted. The table next to us received the wrong bill.
Maybe our expectations were too high for a more engaging experience.
Still worth trying the place out.“

“Came into Yard House today for lunch with my mom, and we had such a wonderful experience! ❤

We had the pleasure of being greeted and assisted by Tay and Logan, who were absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked through the door, Tay had the biggest smile and such a warm, welcoming spirit. Both Tay and Logan’s customer service was genuine, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

I truly appreciate people who go above and beyond to make customers feel valued. They were so pleasant, personable, and made our lunch experience even better. My mom and I don’t get out and about much, so having people greet us with such kindness really meant a lot.

The manager Adrienne was also able to assist me with an issue I was having and did everything she could to correct the situation. She was pleasant, kind, patient, and caring. Her customer service and the grace she showed throughout the situation were phenomenal. It really showed me that Yard House has the right leadership in place.

I want to give a special thank you to Tay, Logan, and Adrienne. Great customer service deserves to be recognized, and these three definitely deserve their flowers.“

“I’ve been to yard house so many times and each time I like it more. Last time I went they were playing Argentina vs Cabo verde in the World Cup so the place was a bit Busy as everyone wanted to watch the game. I normally get dragonfruit lemonade which is really good. The service was a fine since the place was really busy and there was a 45 minute wait for a table so I just waited at the bar. The atmosphere is really loud and hard to talk over it but it was understandable. The one thing js that it’s kind of pricey for some slightly upscale bar food. The steak was good though.“

“I’m only in town for a week, but have already been here twice since it’s short trip from where I’m staying and I enjoy a good brew pub. Ate at the bar both times. Food and service were 💯both times. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the supreme pizza. Meatloaf was great, pizza’s ok. I tried both their hazy beers and the Freedom and Founders IPAs, all good choices. I’m planning on bringing my husband for my 3rd visit before heading home. Looking forward to having the Stroganoff pasta on my next visit. Would highly recommend for food and craft beer selections.“

“Stopped by Open Road Restaurant and Bar last Friday night with a group of friends and we had a fantastic time. The atmosphere is super lively and has a really cool, welcoming vibe the second you walk through the door. We started with some appetizers and drinks, and the bartender definitely knew what they were doing—the cocktails were mixed to perfection. For dinner, I ordered the burger and it was cooked just right, juicy and packed with flavor. Our server was attentive and friendly the entire evening, making sure our glasses were never empty even though the place was pretty packed. It can get a little loud inside when it's busy, but honestly, it just adds to the energetic social scene. Overall, it is a great spot for weekend hangouts, and I am definitely looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.“

“We stay at this Ritz-Carlton location from time to time, and Entyse is a focal point of those visits. It’s an all-day operation, and indeed the only dining option on-property. The bartenders and wait staff are highly attentive, personable, and quick to remember your preferences. There’s usually a decent crowd, and on weekends there’s live music ranging from jazz piano to a classic hits band.

While it is definitely a lounge first and a restaurant second, there is a decently extensive menu for each breakfast, lunch and dinner with a number of tempting options. There’s also a bar menu that’s served all day and until midnight daily, which is a godsend for the weary traveler arriving late in the evening.

So many places close early in this post-Covid era that it’s great to see a proper hotel bar open late nightly.

Oh, and if you’re a wine person like I am, you’ll certainly enjoy the 25+ options offered by the glass. Although we are guests of the hotel, it’s easy to see why so many locals frequent this lounge too.“
