“I stumbled upon MoCo's Founding Farmers and I'm so glad I did! The food is fresh, flavorful, and sourced locally whenever possible, giving it an authentic farm-to-table taste. Whether you're craving a hearty burger or a fresh salad, MoCo's Founding Farmers has something for everyone.“
“Always a favorite. You can not go wrong, the food is great, the atmosphere is great, the staff and owners are wonderful. A little gem along the trails and perfect spot after a hike. Also super kids friendly ( as long as kids are polite which should be expected). My kids love it there, we all do.“
“The menu and wine list has changed since our last time dining at BlackSalt. Actually had to return a bottle of French wine that was undrinkable/bitter.Fortunately, the wine server suggested a much better California wine that went well with the entrees. The food was great, as we expected.“
“Buzzy place, quite busy for Sunday brunch. The cronut was fresh and delicious. The gravlax mezze plate was unusual which is why I ordered it. The food was good. But the music blasting spoiled the experience for me - and I was solo so wasn't trying to chat, which would have been impossible to hear anything!“
“Ellie Bird has been on our list to try since they opened. Like their sister restaurant Rooster & Owl, the menu is both refined and rustic, with an emphasis on small plates great for sharing. We went for dinner and ordered the bread basket, spring green salad, Vietnamese french onion soup, salted cod rangoons, pomelo larb, braised lamb shank and chocolate cake. The pineapple buns are a carry over from Rooster & Owl that I’d happily eat with every meal. The Vietnamese french soup is aptly named, a wonderful combination of richly aromatic braised oxtail broth reminiscent of a fabulous pho with the oniony, cheesy, crouton goodness of a classic french onion. The rangoons are a perfect execution of an American Thai staple and the pomelo larb burst with flavor. The lamb shank, expertly cooked and glazed, was easily split between the two of us and sat on a bed of herbaceous tabouleh.A delay in getting us to our seats at the chefs counter resulted in several comped plates throughout the meal and we were very grateful for the above and beyond. The asparagus and pine berry salad added to our starter course was a true delight, who knew they were such a good pair!I’ll be interested to see how the restaurant continues to evolve. While Rooster & Owl remains our go-to for special occasions, we will absolutely come back to Ellie Bird with friends and family in tow and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.“
“Great overall experience! Sean made our experience even better by serving perfect drinks and laughter. Food was amazing and we will be back. Thanks Sean for staying on top of our orders and taking the time to make sure we enjoyed our time there.“
“Persimmon has very attentive service, lots of great menu options, and a nice buzzy atmosphere that is cozy and not too loud. Our favorites were the tuna tartare and blue cheese ravioli with truffle sauce. I love that they have so many seafood options. Don't miss the sunset dining from 5-6pm M-F: 3 courses for $45!“
“After being turned away at the restaurant upstairs due to overcrowding the awesome receptionist pointed me to an unmarked door downstairs in their entrance way. And that’s how I found this incredible tucked away gem! Joined the bar alone, but was soon socializing with some of Rosslyn’s nicer residents. The Wagyu Burger, that everyone around me ordered was incredible! Too bad all my random stumbling can’t end up with great wine, good food, and new friends like this? Btw, I do recommend if you can find it.“
“One of Reston’s best and our favorite. Customer service second to none, delicious food (don’t miss the crab soup), beautiful scenery, and some of NOVA’s finest entertainment topped off by the Billy Thompson trio. Great way to spend the evening.“
“I've been coming here for years with my friends for birthdays and just hangout. I like the ambiance, the food, and the staff. Melissa is our go to waitress, absolutely love her patience, kindness, attention, and professionalism. It's really nice that they revise their menu a little to match the season!“
“Was here for a business dinner on a trip to Virginia. This is a very nice restaurant and had a great time at this place.Tried couple of of their appetizers and ate their Steak for dinner.Steak was amazing was cooked to perfection based on my order.Very nice fine dining experience and would definitely recommend it for special occasions.“
“Food was good as part of restaurant week, but portions were small even for tapas compared to similar type of restaurants. The most disappointing was the dessert, it was more of a tasting than a small plate. Ambiance and service was good, just needed more food... so what did I do... go across the street and get some ice cream! Yum.“
“Once when I tried it for the first time there service was good there food was good and their customer service but the second time the food was good but their service was terrible they put us in the back and we had less service than we had the first time so I’ll give them a four out of five“
“Great food and service, but disappointed that they have been out of AC for two months. They need to tell their customers at the door before they are seated. Not right especially if customers have respiratory issues. Some in the restaurant that day were experiencing discomfort Stay away from the Rockville Location until they fix the AC“
“Delicious! We visited on saturday lunch and were seated after few minutes of a wait.We ordered the wild mushroom flatbread, chicken benedict and the tuna salad.Everything was amazing!Flatbread had nice truffle aroma with ample mushroom toppings, tuna salad was fresh and cooked just right, but wow the biscuits on the benedict blew me away!!Service was cordial and straight to the point. Will return to try more menus“
“First time at Bazins on Church. We arrived a few minutes earlier than our reservation and we were seated immediately. Since we had an early reservation, it was too packed when we got there. Our server came over right away to offer water and show us the specials menu. My husband ordered a pear martini that he said was good, but boozy. I just had a soda. For appetizers we split the jumbo lump crab meat spring roll. It was more of a deconstructed spring roll with the slaw on the outside. It was delicious. We appreciated that he took the order of two rolls and split it between two plates. For dinner my husband had the Atlantic cod and jumbo shrimp over cheddar grits. He said the cod was a nice portion, but with only 2 shrimp on his plate it seemed a bit pricey and he expected at least 4. I had the blue cheese crusted flat iron steak with red wine reduction and garlic herb fries. The red wine sauce made the blue cheese watery vs crusted. While I know flat iron steak isn't the most tender cut of meat, this was pretty tough. The fries were good, but would've preferred them to be more crispy. We shared the broccoli frito...very good, crunchy with a nice kick to it. We will definitely be back. Nice place to go, great decor, with an upscale casual feel.“
“Idlywood is a favorite spot for dinner. The service is excellent, with a good selection of wines and an atmosphere that permits conversation at normal speaking levels. We tried a couple of new dishes as well as a favorite appetizer (shrimp ajo) and salmon Caesar. We haven't been disappointed in any of the salmon selections. The branzino is also a favorite. The chicken parmesan, a new item , was especially good. Highly recommended.“
“My first time and it Blew my mind. I had the chicken noodle soup and it did not disappoint me. The drinks were delicious. The customer service was great! Our waiter’s name was Iris! Big shout out to Iris! We had a large group and she was simply amazing. She is a true asset to your restaurant!“
“We tried Harth last night and are glad we did. It's in the lobby of the McLean Hilton so it's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. It was not very busy on a Friday night, unlike every other restaurant in Tysons which are overrun with guests. My guess is it's because few people are aware of its existence....and that's what makes it nice (I prefer peace and quiet to crowds when dining). It's a great spot for a date night. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is top notch, the food presentation is stellar, and it was all very tasteful..no need for salt/pepper/condiments. Even the chairs are super comfortable (which is great for my bad back).I think Harth is lovely. We will be back!“
“They have rebranded the restaurant as "Glenwood's". If you want to compare it to an existing chain, think Copper Canyon, as they are under the same corporate umbrella. This was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is on the subdued side, even though most of the window views are of Wootton Parkway. The food was very good. The jumbo lump crab cakes were filling and meaty. I enjoyed their cocktails as well; just the right mixture. Highly recommended!“
“I’ve never heard of this place until today and glad I came. My friends and I tried their burger and it was probably one of the most flavorful burgers I’ve had. Presentation looks like a simple burger but the taste is outstanding. They nailed the beef done medium, their house sauce is balanced, and their bun was great. Their fries were also very crisp and done right. I ordered another burger to-go since it was so good. I’ll be coming back to try the other things on their menu. The owners were also very kind which made the overall experience a good one.“
“I love coming here! It’s a cute little spot that has a cozy vibe! I’m a HUGE fan of the arepas — literally they are delicious! Sometimes I have to stop myself from buying several at a time. Their coffee is also really good, with more of the flavors heightened with oat milk. It’s a regular stop for me!“
“We ate at 3 different locations within 2 days, if that is any indication- the menu is varied, the breakfast is delicious, and the milkshakes are amazing. Servers were always friendly and helpful, if a bit slammed. And the coffee is delicious.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free toast that didn't taste like a brick, and clear indications of which items were gluten sensitive.“
“My family and I go to Circa go all the time and were never left disappointed. Food is great and so is the staff. When we went last night it was busy, as usual, which was fine because they’re usually very good at dealing with that however this time it was different. Our server was not attentive and changed halfway through our meal. However we still didn’t receive attentive service. Our server seemed like they were in a rush and wouldn’t come for long periods of time. Other than that, it was still a good meal.“
“Lived in Buffalo for 5 years so the bar for wings is extremely high. These were pretty good though. I tried the lemon pepper, which had good flavor and were crispy. Also had the honey bbq which were drenched in sauce; it was a bit much. The beignets were delicious and the chicken noodle soup hit the spot. Overall, good food and would recommend. But can’t say they are the best wings I’ve ever had though“
“Our first time here a VERY busy place. Although we had a reservation, we still waited over 20 minutes to be seated. However, our waitress was very friendly and efficient. My salad was excellent! My only concern was that there was hair in our salmon. However, the manager came over and replaced it. There was 13 of us, and our bill was a little over $200, which I thought was reasonable. We will definitely visit it again.“
“My partner and I work occasionally at Imagination Stage. This place is perfectly situated just off the main part of busy downtown Bethesda. Very accessible, quick, clean service. I've been to plenty of places in the DMV which claim this "New York" aesthetic and this is the best I've been to so far. The staff is incredibly friendly and always attentive. My partner has made friends with the girl who works the register. I'm sure she does so much for the establishment and it makes the place a comfort to spend some time in. Their selection of drinks and food and other confectionery is really good considering their smaller size. I hope this place keeps going strong because they are always a happy part of my time in Bethesda.“
“It was quite busy on a Sunday. The patio hadn't been opened up yet, but you could order to go and sit there. We arrived without a reservation and were told it would be a 20 minute wait, but didn't get seated for ~50 minutes. Our server seemed harried. The crab cake eggs benedict was the highlight for us. The English muffin is toasted thoroughly and didn't get soggy, the crab cake was crispy and seasoned well. The breakfast potatoes were also seasoned and flavorful - just wish they had been crispier. The huevos rancheros was fine. The Werewolf in London was a touch watered down even before the ice melted.“
“My first impression was with the young lady at the door. We had a brief conversation about the place before she seated me. My server Elle was just as impressive. The eggs Benedict and very creative hsshbrowns were fantastic. Can't wait to go back.“
“Our patient server Eddie got our order correctly without a problem even tho I changed my original order of crabcake quantity the first time . The peach for 2 ala mode is fresh and warm. So yummy! So happy they brought it back. The crab cakes are the best! Thank you Eddie for making our Friday night dinner for two extra special after a long busy week. The female manager is so helpful too. Silver Diner also has clean bathrooms all the time.“
“Had such a great experience here this weekend. Servers were funny and attentive and the martinis are STRONG. Food doesn’t make you feel bloated when you leave and they have awesome healthy options. Great date night place or girls night happy hour. Will be back!!!“
“I have been coming to this restaurant for 20 years. It is charming, very dog friendly on their beautiful patio , reasonably priced and delicious!! Tonight we ordered the take out Valentines menu (my husband has a broken ankle) and it was delicious! We have ordered many of their “comfort meals” during Covid and all were very tasty and very generous. My husband is 5’10” and a former football player and I honestly think their meals for two Could feed three! We are so happy to have this great restaurant in our neighborhood.“
“Great spot for brunch in Arlington. The GPB waffle was the perfect waffle and the American Breakfast was a great accompaniment to the waffle. The cheesy hash browns are so unique and tasty. The food came out quickly and the service was great. Great spot for an Easter brunch.“
“My wife and I visited the Bethesda location. Our server was extremely helpful and kind. She explained basically they only cook with good oils. Everything is fresh and organic. The terminology today is clean food. My wife ordered a gin and pineapple martini and it was delicious.! They have an open kitchen concept and the cooks bring the food right to you after they prepare it! Which I thought was a great touch and would answer any questions you might have. I ordered the OG burger medium and it came out perfect so juicy and flavorful the grilled onions on the burger were fantastic and it came with a side of roasted baby red potatoes that were. Delicious. My wife ordered a salad with fresh grilled salmon and the salmon was prepared just the way she liked it not pink in the center and not overly done. Definitely a great concept and the food was extremely tasty. I would highly recommend it. They also have outside seating for a pretty spring evening.“
“Ballston Local is not just a restaurant; it's a beacon of culinary delight, casting a warm and welcoming glow over the neighborhood. With its super friendly service and an atmosphere as inviting as a family gathering, this spot is a testament to the joy of shared plates and hearty conversations. Our culinary journey at Ballston Local was nothing short of a gastronomic festival, celebrating the finest in casual dining with a twist of sophistication. The Mama's Meatballs, nestled in herbed ricotta and accompanied by perfectly grilled garlic bread, were so tender and flavorful as if every bite whispers a secret recipe passed down through generations, served with a dollop of love. The Caprese Crostini was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing the saltiness of prosciutto with the freshness of tomato and arugula, all elevated by a drizzle of balsamic reduction that danced on the palate. It wasn't just an appetizer; it was an aria, sung by the ingredients in perfect pitch.Pizza lovers, rejoice, for the Sausage & Roni Pizza is a masterpiece of dough, cheese, and cured meats. The blend of pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil was a testament to the power of simple ingredients coming together to create something magical. Each slice was a ticket to an Italian countryside. The Italian Pork Store Special sandwich was a hearty homage to the classic Italian deli experience, with layers of prosciutto, sopressatta, ham, and fresh mozzarella, accented by roasted peppers and arugula, then kissed with vinaigrette. It was a hearty handheld feast that transported us straight to the streets of Rome, one savory bite at a time. And then, there was the Blumont Burger, a burger behemoth that stood tall and proud. The caramelized onions, gorgonzola, arugula, and bacon came together in a beautiful, messy, glorious union, all slathered in burger sauce that could only be described as "nectar of the gods." It was the kind of burger that demands your attention, commanding the stage with the poise of a seasoned actor. I'm not usually a fan of blue cheeses, but I would come back for this. The beverage menu at Ballston Local was a parade of liquid joy. From a beer and wine list that is both satisfying and inviting to a fun and tasty cocktail menu that sparked conversation and laughter like the "Spa Day" made with gin, lavender simple syrup, and lime juice sparkling with gold flakes, every sip was a celebration of good taste and great company.Overall, Ballston Local, in essence, is more than a restaurant--It's a place where every dish is a discovery, every drink a delight, and every visit a return to a place where you're always welcome.“
“This is probably one of the better places I've been at recently. Got a flight with the 60, 90, 120 min IPA. The 120 min was 17% alcohol and tasted like hard liquor more than beer and couldn't finish it. Of course, the rest of the flight was great.I got the Jambalaya and the cajun egg rolls. Everything was excellent and I would highly recommend them. The whole experience from start to finish was perfect, and our waitress was on point.“
“We just went for drinks. A little difficult to maneuver when it's crowded. However, this is a pretty cool environment. Knowing that it was part of St. Elmos Fire makes it that much better. While we were there, there was the male singing group from Georgetown University was in a booth entertaining everyone. Be careful going up and down the stairs to the establishment.“
“As its name suggests, this is an American road house style bar & grill. It's excellent comfort food from brunch, burgers, wings, pizza! Great place to watch sports, but classier than a sports bar. Unpretentious, friendly service and priced just right! A great alternative to Matchbox across the street, which has lost its mojo!“
“What a fun place! It’s massive, has great food, lots of fantastic win and a cool vibe. Highly recommend for larger groups- we had a happy hour for a huge group— everyone comfortably spread out. The patatas bravas were absolutely amazing- super crisp with a spicy sauce on top. The yucca/plantain chips were yum and the wings were good (nothing special but great). My friend loved everything she got.“
“I worked here years ago and I keep coming back whenever I am in town. It's only gotten better which each trip. Go during lunch get the Southwest Chx wrap with salsa roja on the side. You are welcome in advance! ???Dietary restrictions: Plenty of Gluten free options. Clearly visible“
“Ordered the forbidden rice bowl for delivery. Food arrived hot and smelled really good. Taste was bland, had to add a bunch of salt (the only "spice" available at the office) as there was almost no flavor. Was really disappointed to spend over $30 and have a less-than stellar meal from a restaurant I heard great reviews from.“
“On St. Patrick's Day, my mom wanted green beer, so we went to The Barking Dog. The gastropub was filled with sports fanatics. Since alcoholic drinks weren't permitted in the patio area, we were seated at a booth near the bathroom. My brother had an O'Doul's, my fiancé had a Crooked Crab Haze for Days Pale Ale, my parent shared a New Trails Crisp Lager (dyed green), and I had a Green Tea Cocktail. We shared an order of Pub Pretzels, which was served warm and with a spicy cheese dipping sauce.“
“Delish! Even gluten free Mac & cheese. I thought ‘why not give it a try?’ Happy I did.Parking: Easy to find at intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Democracy Blvd in Bethesda.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramp for wheelchair.“
“A good place for Sunday brunch or an early dinner. The food is excellent. I often meet friends there. The menu has many gluten free offerings. The atmosphere is quiet and casual. The service is good.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options. High quality. Delicious food“
“My family and I absolutely love Cooper's Hawk! This specific location is where we have embraced going out as a family and getting to know the staff has been a wonderful experience. Jackie, the manager is absolutely amazing, very caring, and personable. We have completed many tasting as members, and really appreciate Mark and Taylor specifically, as they are knowledgeable and it is clear that they enjoy what they do. You will not be disappointed visiting Coopers Hawk!“
“Maaaannnnn let me tell you now ima give this a 86 out of 5 cuz good lord the burger to the fries to the shake all was straight bussin id say it was worth the money service was awesome inside ambiance was nice to be in for a lunch break would go back if in the area! I would share a picture but it was gone before i thought about it“
“Decent neighbourhood place with decent food and service by a young enthusiastic workforce mentored by some dedicated professionals. The nacho appetiser we had was good and the pizza was well above average, particularly the crust which was crispy but also light and airy. Great for a low key meal.“
“We had our second annual gathering for high tea here. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff! Thank you!Dietary restrictions: I'm lactose intolerant and I ate everything!! Very considerate of dietary restrictions. It was all delicious!Wheelchair accessibility: Valet parked our accessible van. One of our guest uses a power wheelchair and she had a very delightful time. Staff was wonderful. High marks all around!“
“I recently visited Blue 44 for lunch, and overall, I found it to be a decent dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable setting for a midday meal. The menu offered a variety of options, and the food quality was satisfactory, with flavors that pleased the palate. However, I couldn't help but notice that the prices were a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes and offerings provided. While I enjoyed my meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was paying a premium for what I received. That said, Blue 44 is still worth a try if you're in the area and looking for a nice lunch spot with decent food, albeit at slightly elevated prices.“
“The property management team at the Bolger Center changes constantly as does the management of the Pony Express. The bartenders and servers have been a constant for some time and are amazing. Tyrone and Heidi always take great care of their customers.“
