Excellent dinner: Moules Marinières and Salade Niçoise and an inexpensive and tasty Bordeaux.
DISCRIMINATION!!!! Worst restaurant service I've ever had the displeasure to experience. My partner and I walked in for an early dinner at 5 and decided to get some drinks and an appetizer to start with. The onion soup was like warm, tiny and flavorless. Now we're both minorities and look really young, so after already asking to see our ID's, the waiter comes back with the bartender/manager, and asks to see our ID's again. Oh Macon, how far you've fallen over the years. It used to be hands-down the best spot in Chevy Chase for a fantastic meal and a great drink, but the energy and quality just aren't there anymore. We recently dined for dinner on a Friday night sitting amongst an empty house. My all-time favorite, the Macon Burger, was a huge disappointment.
