“This is our go-to pizza place! We always get carry out, as they only have outdoor seating, but the food is always fresh, the staff always polite and the pizza is always delicious. Pricewise, it's on-par with other local pizzerias, but the quality is so much better. PLUS, I have heard their sandwiches are also delicious.“
“I had such a lovely experience at Kabana. I went for Iftar and it was so calm and family friendly. They had an amazing spread of Middle Eastern food. Every single dish was so flavorful. There were so many people there and they had a ton of food on the buffet that they kept refilling. Severs also kept checking in on us so that we had a chance to order anything extra. A while after we broke fast we had hookah which was discounted and coffee. Everyone was so friendly. I would definitely come again and recommend to all my friends and family.“
“For appetizers- we ordered the burratta e funghi and also the foccaccia bread. Both were delicious. The highlight was the pizza! We were a party of 6 and tried three different pizzas, and all were delicious! We also tried both the gnocchi dishes (formaggi and sorrentina), they were ok. The best dish of all was the tiramisu! We liked it so much we had to order multiples. Friendly staff, good amount of parking..“
“As someone who grew up in New York State, this is hands down the best pizza in the area. My roommate and I regularly stop in, and have made this our go to spot for food whenever we're hosting people. Everything from the Cheese to the Margherita Pizza is fantastic, and even the sandwiches are great!“
“Mumu is the greatest! The food is fresh and delicious and always has a special touch - like the deliciously seasoned potatoes on the side of the sandwiches. Also, the owner Jermaine is a great guy and always goes the extra mile. My favorite is the avocado caprese. You may think you’ve had a lot of avocado toast, but you’ve never had one as fresh and delicious as this one. Get over to Mumu on Langston Blvd underneath Moms - parking is easy, too!“
“We ordered vegan takeout from this restaurant. They had a fun deal on Ubereats where you could get two slices of vegan cake for the price of one. We were astounded when the food arrived. It's all delicious, high quality and generous portions! We had a vegan pizza with lots of toppings (they offer numerous vegan meats!), chicken parm and spaghetti and meatballs. All was delicious!I HIGHLY recommend getting food here if you're vegan!Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“My second experience (in person). Order was taken by Jane. She is very friendly, professional and super helpful. She goes through your order just to make sure it is correct and then checks before handing the food to you. I got two made to order pizzas; 2 sandwiches; 2 appetizers and a salad. All great and Jane is a great credit to the business.“
“Rober (Robert) makes the best breakfast sandwich on the planet! As an airline employee, I find myself eating in airports regularly.I tried the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit at Timber Pizza for the first time ever and I must say that it was incredible. The freshly baked biscuit was fluffy on the inside and toasty on the outside. The chopped bacon mixed and melted perfectly with the egg and cheese and the sandwich was served hot, fresh and delicious. Timber's breakfast sandwich might be slightly more expensive than the other options at DCA but not only was it hot, fresh and delicious but it was very hearty! When Robert handed me the sandwich, I immediately noticed how heavy it was. It's twice the weight of the breakfast sandwich from the other places but, being freshly made and baked, did not sit in the stomach heavy.I'm looking forward to my next stop at DCA airport to enjoy another bacon, egg and cheese biscuit from Timber Pizza in E Gates.Thank you, Robert!“
“I honestly am baffled that this place has a 3.5 rating, I would give it a solid 4.7. My fiancée and I ate here for his birthday tonight and had such an incredible time. We enjoyed every single thing that they prepared. You can tell that the chef took their time to prepare a dish that was cohesive and well thought out. The plating was even more whimsical and artistic than the interior design, which is a vibe. The staff were also very attentive and kind! The only con is that the tables are pretty close to each other and we would have liked to have a little more personal space.“
“Ballston Local is not just a restaurant; it's a beacon of culinary delight, casting a warm and welcoming glow over the neighborhood. With its super friendly service and an atmosphere as inviting as a family gathering, this spot is a testament to the joy of shared plates and hearty conversations. Our culinary journey at Ballston Local was nothing short of a gastronomic festival, celebrating the finest in casual dining with a twist of sophistication. The Mama's Meatballs, nestled in herbed ricotta and accompanied by perfectly grilled garlic bread, were so tender and flavorful as if every bite whispers a secret recipe passed down through generations, served with a dollop of love. The Caprese Crostini was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing the saltiness of prosciutto with the freshness of tomato and arugula, all elevated by a drizzle of balsamic reduction that danced on the palate. It wasn't just an appetizer; it was an aria, sung by the ingredients in perfect pitch.Pizza lovers, rejoice, for the Sausage & Roni Pizza is a masterpiece of dough, cheese, and cured meats. The blend of pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil was a testament to the power of simple ingredients coming together to create something magical. Each slice was a ticket to an Italian countryside. The Italian Pork Store Special sandwich was a hearty homage to the classic Italian deli experience, with layers of prosciutto, sopressatta, ham, and fresh mozzarella, accented by roasted peppers and arugula, then kissed with vinaigrette. It was a hearty handheld feast that transported us straight to the streets of Rome, one savory bite at a time. And then, there was the Blumont Burger, a burger behemoth that stood tall and proud. The caramelized onions, gorgonzola, arugula, and bacon came together in a beautiful, messy, glorious union, all slathered in burger sauce that could only be described as "nectar of the gods." It was the kind of burger that demands your attention, commanding the stage with the poise of a seasoned actor. I'm not usually a fan of blue cheeses, but I would come back for this. The beverage menu at Ballston Local was a parade of liquid joy. From a beer and wine list that is both satisfying and inviting to a fun and tasty cocktail menu that sparked conversation and laughter like the "Spa Day" made with gin, lavender simple syrup, and lime juice sparkling with gold flakes, every sip was a celebration of good taste and great company.Overall, Ballston Local, in essence, is more than a restaurant--It's a place where every dish is a discovery, every drink a delight, and every visit a return to a place where you're always welcome.“
“Managing Part Owners of BTP & db, Kat and Kristina, bring to Life a really cool place where Bronx Pizza used to be right near the Clarendon Metro. They both have lots of experience in the Arlington Restaurant Bar scene, and have brought in only great, friendly employees at the wonderful dive bar section and also in the kitchen. And, by association, they also have brought in great, friendly customers. The food is solid and reasonably priced. The HH, now Monday through Friday, is a standout, and runs 4 to 8 PM. This place at times when I am there remains a hidden gem, and now I am afraid I have let the cat out of the bag, and that really is a great thing, like BTP & db !!“
“1. Food is amazing I ate pesto genovese with penne paste loved it, I recommend adding without garlicmy son ate penne Alfredo ,they have this complementary rosemary loaf bread which is amazing , we ordered garlic with cheese bread so we were over stuffed had to take it to go2. Attentive while being busy checking on drinks3. More parking in back also it’s okay to park at the salon spots confirmed withy he restaurant on 4/4/24 8pm“
“This place has filled a void left by Carpool (I know it's back, at least in Virginia Square). One big difference between the two is the food. The pizza is great and I really like the steak and cheese. It has a nice amount of games, but not so many that it feels gimmicki. I feel like beers are pricey, but that is pretty much everywhere these days.“
“This place is outstanding! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable price, incredible beer selection! The bar tender was very knowledgeable and helps us pick out what we loved. We had salads and pizza. Very fresh ingredients. And we got to help some lucky local dogs and cats. A win!“
“From the moment you step into Colony Grill, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. Located in Arlington, Virginia, this spot has quickly become a favorite of mine. The pizza is the star of the show here - thin crust, perfectly charred, and topped with an array of fresh and high-quality ingredients. The signature 'hot oil' pizza is a must-try, offering a unique and tantalizing flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The service at Colony Grill is nothing short of exceptional. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do, which makes a tremendous difference in the overall dining experience. The ambiance is casual yet charming, making it the perfect spot for anything from a family dinner to a casual date night. Cleanliness is also clearly a priority here, which is always appreciated. In a city filled with dining options, Colony Grill stands out for its quality food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through Arlington, I highly recommend a visit to Colony Grill. It's more than just a meal, it's an experience.“
“I'm sooo in love with this place!!! I first learned about them while I was door-dashing one late night and decided to give them a try!!! I ordered some chicken wings all flats, well done & extra wet. And to my surprise these have to have been some of the best chicken wings ever!!! Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and they also deliver!!We're all so caught up at ordering at these corporate places that we forget to give these small businesses a try!! But trust and believe you will not be disappointed!! And no I am in no way affiliated with this restaurant. Just a frequent shopper. Oh yeah and btq, they make their own ranch and blue cheese deeping sauce, not those sauces that come out of the packets.“
“Hidden in the outskirts of Arlington VA is @pie_tanza_arlington, a family friendly neopolitana pizzeria!!Not too far from DC, you will find any customized version of pizza for your liking! Just order tomato sauce for ur pizza and you should be good! The crust is thin and airy :)Don't miss out on the heirloom tomato caprese salad too!! Made from fresh mozzarella, you will be surprised at how good it is!“
“Amazing place to stop and get wine, pizza, hoagie, deli cuts, gelato, espresso, Italian groceries or even prepared meals to take home and heat up. I first went there a few years ago and found it to be my go to place and try to get in there once a week. They do so many things and do them right. They seem to employ a lot of students and they have a nice enthusiasm and demeanor to them, always upbeat. Their wine events they frequently have are always a good time to sample a wine and get educated on it. They have another location which has a lot of the same good foods, but is much smaller, this is the one I prefer as the selections are much larger. I wish I could give this place more stars, but 5 on a scale of 1-5 is all they'll allow.“
“I’m a pizza snob, I’m owning it! A native from Chicago and I like to try pizza whenever I go. New York pizza is good, but this Extreme Pizza was amazing!!! Of course it’s not comparable to Chicago deep dish, so adjust your expectations but keep them high because Extreme’s pizza was delicious, fresh, hot, chewy crush and went all the way to the edge. Yes, I ate the entire individual pizza. Owning that too! It would be a shame if you were in Crystal City and didn’t stop here for a quick bite. Staff were great and price was good considering this is DC-area, so nothing else could beat great food, service and affordable!!! What else could you ask for! Oh, did you notice they have a 4-page beer menu, hello - amazing!!! Who else does that??? Bon appetite!“
“The OKC Burger and fries are delicious. I am unable to recommend them enough; a must try if you enjoy hamburgers. They have a good beer selection as well. Also, the service is first-rate at the bar. Don't let the simple look of the place deter you from eating there.“
“Pizzas and appetizer (fried calamari and other seafood) were absolutely great. The place is simple,in summer you can seat outside, service is professional, easy and fast. You can order with your smartphone from your table. Quality is focused on food, pizza and other specialities. Beer is good. Gelato is available. Price is reasonable. Definitely a great dinner in Italy... ah no, we were still in Shirlington ...“
“Crush pizza was delicious! $5 a slice is definitely pricey, but what can you expect these days? Coming from a NJ/NY native, this pizza is SOLID. I love that they don’t up charge for the specialty slices. The service was quick and easy for a fast bite. The outdoor area is very cute to sit or walk around. Def will be back!“
“My go-to breakfast place when I'm in Arlington. They have many good options on their breakfast menu. They also will make your meal the way you like it by adding items that are not on the standard menu. They also have a wide variety of cold drinks and juices. The coffee is always good. They offer quality and good service.“
“I couldn’t wait to rate this after I ate here for the first time! It’s difficult to find pizza places around my area that sell by the slice and that are great quality. This place has everything!! Great quality, service, ambience! The pizza tastes amazing!! Loved my margarita one! Would recommend!“
“Whether it is chicken parmesan, a meatball sandwich, or a meat lovers pizza that you desire, Two Chefs is the place to go. And the garden salad is truly delicious. Try the Avgolemono soup (chicken, egg, lemon and rice); it is fabulous. If you like Greek cooking (and who doesn't?), get the Greek vive at Two Chefs.“
“I love this restaurant! Been there over a dozen times. Locally owned. Brilliant mussel dishes. Andrew S. did an unparalleled job serving us tonight. We’re always happy when we come here. YouI’ll enjoy everything about it. They even picked up a Belgian wheat on tap. (Before it was lacking)“
“Finally tried the famous Pupatella. I was so excited about trying the pizza that I had already scarfed down half of the pizza after realizing I didn't get a picture. I ordered online on a Friday around 6:30. Order took about 40 minutes. They were extremely busy and they keep a great flow of people. It was very lively inside. The pizza was great. I got the Caivano. The char was perfect. The crust wasn't extremely thin, which I like. This pizza came with tons of meat! No skimping. I will say that my pizza wasn't exactly saucy or super cheesy. Overall, great flavor and I will definitely be back to try more menu items.“
“Oh wow! My partner and I were just looking for a quick bite on our way through town and chose this place on a bit of a whim. What a good choice! The atmosphere was wonderful! We were greeted like friends as soon as we walked in. It was slow when we arrived and the manager waited on our table as much as anyone else and everyone was so friendly and outgoing it felt like we had met before or were regulars. The menu is *wild*. The manager immediately told us some great choices. We each ordered one of his recommendations as well as an order of fries and ?? ? they were both perfect. The sandwiches' flavors were deliciously balanced, the textures inside it were well thought out, and the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right! The decor is AMAZING. I had to keep my eyes on my partner while we were chatting because every time I glanced around I would get distracted by a new painting or section of a mural that I hadn't seen yet. 12/10 would get a sandwich from them again I'm sorry I have no food photos because I crushed tf out of that sandwich when it was placed in front of me.“
“This is my first visit, stumbled upon them while searching for a nearby deep dish pizza. Their pizzas have distinctive toppings that create delightful flavors. And the also have vegan pizzas. However, be warned: if you ask for spicy, it packs a serious punch! Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed it!“
“This is a great authentic Philly cheese steak place. The mozzarella is absolutely to dieee for. You better finish it all at once because it does not taste the same after, but you won’t have a choice you’ll want to finish it lol. They have all day breakfast well. Everything from here is good especially the kool aid and the cheese steaksKid-friendliness: Booths and arcade game“
“That issue with no slices on Friday's. Can this stop.. it makes no sense. I drove 10 miles to enjoy my favorite pizza in town. I was shocked to be informed that I couldn't buy it in slices on Friday's. Stop. People will laugh at u. Pizza is pizza. Stop that Friday thing no “
“I was looking for a place to have lunch and found this place. Extreme Pizza is extremely delicious and friendly. It was extremely clean and affordable. I recommend anyone give this place a try. I got a byo indee (individual pizza) with Canadian bacon and black olives.“
“Small pizza place with pizza by the slice. Interesting combinations including the one I had, the paneer tikka pizza. Not very authentic but a good variation of it. Great flavor. Flavorful and perfectly crunchy/chewy crust. Highly recommendedVegetarian options: Multiple veggie pizza options including vegan options“
“Food was completely spot on as Ledos always is. If you haven’t had Ledos before it’s the best pizza in DMV and 100% worth the slightly elevated price.I’ve avoided this place because of the negative reviews but the service was really great! They were super friendly when I arrived and hooked me up with a free side of ranch I forgot to order. Will certainly come back here.Only downside of this location was (as far as I know) they don’t have the classic ledos ranch cups. Idk what is in the ledos ranch but it’s incredible and this is the only that I’ve gone to that only had house sauce or picante ranch(?).“
“This place is amazing. Couldn't believe the quality of their gluten free pizza. No sign of cross contamination and tasted amazing. Lovely ambience and rapid service. Go here and keep them in business or I'll kick you in the shin really really hard.“
“Quick little casual pizza spot offering flatbread style pizzas for a pretty decent price. Plenty of options when it comes to toppings and the service was quick when I went.Parking: Parking is odd because most of the lot is reserved for Gold's gym“
“Thoroughly enjoyed the creamy pesto pasta with grilled chicken. Caesar salad was also excellent, I do wish there were more croutons though. The Rosa sauce (the star of the dish) with cheese ravioli was tasty. The kids orecchiette pasta with pomodoro was a hit.Would recommend this place. The outside patio had perfect weather.“
“The baked sandwiches are *incredible* on housemade foccacia, pasta is large portions but fairly bland or bad taste imo, calzones are ok but a little too bready and don't come with ricotta unless you request it. Never actually tried their pizza “
“Good food, reasonable prices. The chicken bacon ranch pizza is more spicy than I thought as they added red peppers. I hope they could mark this out on menu. The service is slightly slow and the background music is kind of loud. But not big deals.“
“Owner is one of the best guys in the pizza and restaurant industry. Super nice guy. Food is very good all around. Pizza is a solid with fresh toppings. Pastas are pretty good all around and the Gyro is probably one of the most underrated gyros in all of Arlington….. it’s huge with lots of meat and fresh ingredients….. try it out!“
“Went for Sunday brunch on Easter Sunday and enjoyed the bottomless brunch. Really good selection of small plates, which weren't very small at all. I had the dynamite shrimp, breakfast pizza, beignets, Caesar salad, and salmon avocado toast (okay, maybe three plates would have been plenty, but they were all delicious). $1 mimosas, $2 beers, and $3 bloody marys. Good fun vibe, not too noisy, music not too loud. For $30, I think it's the best bottomless brunch deal in Arlington!“
“We enjoyed our time at Pupatella. The food was very good, and the drinks were well priced and fair. The service was okay - nothing to write home about. We’d go back, but I think I might try sitting at the bar next time.Parking: Small lot, street parking available.“
“We the pizza remains my favorite go-to pizza spot in Virginia. It is literally one of my favorite places to go to and I go quite frequently whenever I can get over there. The crystal city store is better than the Boston one as far as taste goes on the pizzas that I've ordered.“
“As a New Yorker, I'm going to rate this good pizza but not what I would consider great pizza given what I grew up with. With New York Pizza it's about the crust. This is thicker than New York style pizza and has semolina or a cornmeal I believe on the bottom. But it is a decent pizza, I might order it again with a delivery offer or special. In Arlington I prefer We the Pizza or Angelino's for closer New York style pizza.“
“I hit up Wiseguys at the recommendation of a friend, and that suggestion did not disappoint. The pizza was very solid; I got a Pepperoni slice, a Chicken Bacon Ranch slice, and garlic knots. It wasn't mind blowing, and initially I was gonna give it 3 stars, but the CBR slice is what took it over the hump to 4 stars. My friends know I largely despise ranch on anything, but I couldn't tell there was ranch on that slice. Definitely adding them to my Pizza By the Slice lineup“
“I visited this location since I wasn't in the mood for oriental food. The food court is slightly better than the mall. The restaurant choices are limited. I used to love visiting Pentagon City. Metro is better than driving, but only if the blue line doesn't have issues. I had pasta. It was great. I asked for extra sauce (no charge). The garlic knot was excellent. The employees were cheerful and observant. This was my third choice. We started at Chevy's & CA Pizza Kitchen. After looking at both menus, we ended up at the food court. I looked at Yelp reviews after my visit. I wouldn't order salad from here. I would get pasta again.“
“This was my favorite place to order pizza when I lived in Arlington. I think they are owned by the same people who own Angelico in Fairfax, which would make sense because they also make delicious reasonably priced pizza! Whoever served me was very friendly, and the pizza was ready soon after I ordered to go, my favorite was pineapple. They also deliver. I would highly recommend it!“
“The only pizza in the area that actually looks and tastes like NY style pizza! If you’ve been to the east coast like me, you know that the other pizzerias around DC trying to capturing NY pizza just can’t get it—Pizza Pie Me gets it!! ??The staff are also always very friendly!“
“The beef brisket empanadas as hot out of the oven. The dough is pizza dough so it’s like mini calzone. The pepperoni pizza was chewy, great, and just what I ordered with a double dose of pepperoni and cheese. Could have had more pepperoni but I love em. Staff are friendly. Food was ready in ten minutes. Located down in Ballston Quarter, the sound acoustics are awful so it’s really noisy. But the empanadas at 3 for 5 bucks or 6 for 10 are meaty. No other filler. They come with a pineapple zesty dip. Very nice.“
“Cozy restaurant with great food; it’s perfect for a mid-week date night. Best staff in any restaurant in Arlington. They were super nice, eager to give recommendations, and genuinely happy to be there. Even the manager stopped by to see how we were doing. Recommend the seafood lasagna special when it’s available.“
