“Very good bar/vegan food. Prices seem all over with place, with some items overpriced and some quite cheap. Example: burger for $16, but a generous plate of eggplant fries + dipping sauces for $3. In total, it was about $30 for a burger, fries and a beer for one person. Maybe I’m just not used to DC prices, but it felt expensive. Good vegan food, though, and fast, friendly service.Vegetarian options: Full menu is vegan“
“Really delicious, cat-themed restaurant with the same vibe as its counterpart, Lost Dog Cafe. My burger was juicy and flavorful and the cocktails were spectacular — pricey — but super fresh and creative.Vegetarian options: All burgers come with a vegetarian option and most of the other sandwiches are riffs on a grilled cheese.Parking: There is a small parking lot out front, but the spaces are a bit tight.“
“Ramen is great on a cold rainy day, but the real MVP hidden gem is the $8.99 chicken karaage, which is one of the top chicken dishes in town-- up there with El Pollo Rico's Peruvian chicken, GPB's fried chicken, and a couple other “
“Great prices, great dumplings. Highly recommend the soup dumplings or the bulgogi, but the pork/shrimp and the pork/green pepper are also delicious. For $12, getting 10 dumplings feels like a steal in the current economy. Support this restaurant, you won’t regret it!!Parking: In a plaza; gets busy around dinner time.Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor; wheelchairs are fine“
“This place is outstanding! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable price, incredible beer selection! The bar tender was very knowledgeable and helps us pick out what we loved. We had salads and pizza. Very fresh ingredients. And we got to help some lucky local dogs and cats. A win!“
“What a crazy odd gem of a place this is. I was on business and had really not been impressed by the DC food scene at all. Ended up here because the place I was going to wasnt open yet and I figured I could blow off some time and have a couple of beers. This place is almost all black inside and is setup to handle a lot of live rock bands. Looked at the menu and its really weird for a rock band bar and I figured no big deal - beers will be good. Telling the bartender about my trip and disappointment when the owner comes out. Would never tell this guy was the owner by the mohawk punk rock look he had but he and the staff are super cool and laid back people. He says let me order you something to try. Out come dishes.Lemongrass beef - thought for sure this would be chewy hard overcooked griddled sirloin steak. Imagine my surprise - super tender, super flavorful sweet sour salty Asian grilled seared steak what I think is a cut similar to flank steak.Next the pretzel sticks with queso - these arent normal pretzel sticks - they have an outside look like pretzels and have a crunch but are soft and a touch of sweetness with almost a donut chew to them coated in a fine salt pepper maybe garlic? powder seasoning. I am a bit of a foodie snob and can cook about anything and have no idea how to replicate because its just a pretzel right? But its NOT JUST a pretzel - soo good.Lamb chops - coated in what I think is a cinnamon cardamon crust grilled to perfection. Incredible grilled tender lambchops. This place is every bit a high end restaurant in a rock bar vibe. This is not the place to get all dressed up for fine dinning - its the place to take a date, eat crazy amazing food and rock out. If the marketing manager sees this - SEND ME THE PRETZEL RECIPE!!!“
“This place has filled a void left by Carpool (I know it's back, at least in Virginia Square). One big difference between the two is the food. The pizza is great and I really like the steak and cheese. It has a nice amount of games, but not so many that it feels gimmicki. I feel like beers are pricey, but that is pretty much everywhere these days.“
“The baked sandwiches are *incredible* on housemade foccacia, pasta is large portions but fairly bland or bad taste imo, calzones are ok but a little too bready and don't come with ricotta unless you request it. Never actually tried their pizza “
“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. The service was fantastic. She informed me on the specials and how the coffee doughnut was made.“
“Loved their burgers. But they always forget to make the shake. I shouldn't have to remind them, and if I finish my meal and remind someone his priority should be to get my shake, not do other stuff. And if I have to remind you a second time, the same.“
“The only pizza in the area that actually looks and tastes like NY style pizza! If you’ve been to the east coast like me, you know that the other pizzerias around DC trying to capturing NY pizza just can’t get it—Pizza Pie Me gets it!! ??The staff are also always very friendly!“
“This place is very spacious/open and is great for kids/babies! I came with a group of 5-10 for brunch on a Saturday and there was plenty of space for all of us. Food was great and lots of drink options. Service was nothing to write home about, but I wouldn’t expect super quick/attentive service for a beer hall and it wasn’t too bad.“
“This place is located in a hotel - Crown Plaza Crystal City. This wasn't clear, but I probably just missed that. Parked in the street using the park app. There is a parking garage. I do r know if they validate for restaurant business.Restaurant is pretty small. We weee promptly greeted and seated at a table for 2.Wife had the autumn inspired sangria. I stuck with water this trip.Menu was reasonable in depth and price. Not bad for DC metro at least. We started with the mezzeh appetizer. Super good.I had the burger. I can't remember what the wife had, but she smiled through the meal, so it must have been fine.Good service. Good vibe.Recommended while in Crystal City area.“
“Well simmered broth. Large portion. It's part of JINYA Holdings so you know the quality is consistent. The setup at location has the feel of a sport bar on the bar side adjacent to the food court. Though dimly lit, it had a nice ambiance and not too loud.“
