“I seldom have an experience worth posting about, but this was one of them. I was in the area for a work conference and decided to grab lunch at Surreal. I wasn’t expecting much and wasn’t sure about the all you can eat menu, but it was incredible. I had three rounds of orders with server recommendations. Shout out to Marcus for the phenomenal service and recommendations. Everything was delicious. Every. Single. Thing. The outdoor seating was great too and let me enjoy the nice day. In short, I came in just looking for a quick lunch, and left feeling like I just had a Michelin-star dining experience. It was, you could say, Surreal. I highly recommend this place.“

Galaxy Hut has crushed my expectations.
Buffalo things were very good, beer selection is massive, but the highlight was the burger.
By far the best vegetarian burger I have ever had, and also the eggplant fries, just wow!

“We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

I like healthy portions and nutritional variety for good value, and Astor hits the spot. The owners and staff are extremely gracious to create a welcoming atmosphere. They have a lovely patio to hangout. If you live in the neighborhood, it's a no brainier to make this your hangout spot.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. The service stood out just as much as the food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was smooth from start to finish without feeling rushed.

“Top tier place. This is the type of spot that has been needed in Arlington for quite some time with great music, atmosphere, food and drinks. All staff was incredibly polite and kept the place organized and efficient. Will definitely be coming back.“

“My wife and I had lunch here earlier today and it was awesome! My half-price blue moon burger was excellent. High quality beef that was cooked to perfection. The Wrangler grilled salmon was was not overcooked and ithad great flavor. And my cup of cowboy chili really hit the spot. 😋. We ordered Texas barbecue brisket and another burger for takeout, and I’m sure both of those will be great as well. Thanks Karen for the great service!“

“Cafe Colline is spectacular. I had a toddler with me, was dressed in an adidas track suit, and wanted real food as we waited for someone working in the area. Most of the customers were much better dressed and without a child. Nothing wrong with this, just painting the picture. The staff could not have been nicer and more professional. We were greeted with open arms, sat immediately, and served with absolute professionalism. My food (the fish) was so good I considered licking the plate. They don’t necessarily have a kid’s menu but offered numerous things to make a toddler. I went with the burger and fries. They complimented this with numerous dipping sauces and made the burger to order. The charge was minimal and fair. I always clean up after him as toddlers can be messy and they insisted on letting them clean up (I did it anyway). Restrooms were spotless and the kitchen area you pass was very clean and well organized. It’s a small spot full of big talent. This will be a regular for us. A must dine.“

He was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and was able to give us an amazing sampler of focaccia, pasta, crab cakes, and a Ruben we all shared. “Outstanding bar. Great rotating drafts, stools that you can sit on, and the ambiance of a grocery store surrounding you. If you choose to shop, it is highly recommended that you spend 3-4 hours at this bar first so that you can ignore all of the paleo/gluten free/crossfit vibes that resonate. Fairly magical when paired with the top notch buffet adjacent to the bar. Anyone interested in grocery shopping loosely should investigate the possibilities of this bar. I may be wrong, but it is possible to order drinks and imbibe while you shop. Beware: you can’t leave the bar without passing the mochi case.“

“The food is quite good (far better than what you’d get anywhere else in DCA), and the price isn’t much more than surrounding fast food establishments. The staff is also helpful and polite, and the lounge area wasn’t at all busy (far nicer to spend time there than in the terminal). I would choose this place over anywhere else in DCA.“

“We love Astro Beer Hall! It’s a great spot for watching our local DC sports teams and far flung games like the NFL in Europe. There’s a wide variety of food on the menu - something for everyone! There’s an extensive draft beer selection and a speciality cocktail menu if you’re looking for something adventurous. The staff keeps us coming back.“

“Alex is literally the best bartender in the shie area. This man has been in several bars in the area and we we are so pleasantly surprised when we see him at a bar he's take on! I've been a native in the Arlington area for 10 years and everyone looks forward to be served by such a wonderful person!!!“

“Flight got delayed by two hours so I decided to stop by for food and a drink. SO glad I did! The lobster roll was phenomenal and very fresh. The clam chowder was pretty good as well. I ordered a patron reposado marg and a white sangria (don’t judge me) and I’d probably pass on the marg next time. I should have went with my gut and got a reposado espresso martini. Overall 10/10 will definitely come back again.“

The Waiter was superb, filling glasses each time they became even a bit low and promptly attending to us throughout our visit. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and had a fun sense of humor as well. The food was delicious. From the Bruschetta appetizer to our entrees, which ranged from Spaghetti and Meatballs to more sophisticated fare, each of us loved our food. The portions are generous and present a great value. Desert was tasty as well. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly as well. If you want high quality Italian food with excellent service at a fair price, then I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed by this place! Saw it many times but always passed by for some reason . It was a big mistake I wish we discovered it earlier! Super cool atmosphere , eclectic modern Japanese / Hawaiin vibe with a lot of taste , beautiful fun bar and the tables around the bar area and also very charming and cosy main dining room with an intimate exotic atmosphere . But on top of it we had absolutely amazing , so fresh and delicious sushi rolls and a live bossa nova jazz (which is there every Friday as we found out) . And if you are a whiskey or bourbon lover - definitely try Kaiyo 5 woods whiskey! It has such a smooth and elegant taste , our first time trying Japanese whiskey and we were in love! All the sushi were consumed so fast that we didn’t even had a chance to take a picture )))) Our new favorite place in Arlington for sure!“
