“We stopped by for a nightcap and were so glad we did. Whenever we travel, we seek out great craft cocktails and these did not disappoint. Loved the vibe. The cocktails were imaginative and well balanced. The service was outstanding. We did not have an opportunity to try the food, but look forward to visiting again for dinner. I highly recommend this wonderful, tiny, magical trip down the rabbit hole.“

“Randomly found out about this place after having dinner with a friend at the sushi restaurant upstairs. It looked like a cute modernly decorated bar once we entered and it was. The music was GREAT, the bartenders were lovely and super attentive! The drinks had delicious interesting flavors and definitely gave you that kick you’re looking for after midnight. We got to sit at the bar to enjoy your cocktails.“

“I’ve visited Captain Gregory’s three times over the past three years and it is by far the best speakeasy experience in the DC area! The drinks are fantastic - delicious and true works of art. The service is impeccable and the vibe is perfect for a romantic date night or nice relaxing chat with a friend. The quality far exceeds the speakeasies and cocktail bars I’ve visited in DC, which often charge a higher price. If I lived closer, I’d be here all the time. 100/10 would recommend!“

“Lost Dog has THE BEST Turkey Reuben, also known as the Rachel in the DMV. There is another deli that makes a Turkey Reuben but they use sauerkraut, not coleslaw...big nope.

I've tried to make my own Turkey Reuben at home and it's still not as good as this one. I don't know what their secret ingredient is but whatever it is, it's so good. I always order through DoorDash but I plan to visit the Alexandria location next time I'm in the area. I've literally not eaten anything else on their extensive menu, so I might have to order a few things for dinner when I visit in person in 2 weeks!!!“

“Lively neighborhood bar. Can be busy during the happy hour which ends at 7 pm weekdays. I was standing at the bar for a little over five minutes just before happy hour ended and it was so busy (on a Friday) that the bartender couldn't get to me until my watch said 7 pm. Initially he refused to honor the happy hour price, but when I explained that I had been standing there for a little while, he agreed. Good selection of beers.“

You first have to go to one of the sister restaurants next door, ask to be seated at the Front Porch, then they'll escort you back to the Front Porch. The menu felt a little limited in terms of selections, which is why two of us ended up choosing the burgers in the first place.All in all, a decent experience.“

We ordered the tots and got something very different than expected that she could not have and i thought was fair at best. However our entrees were great. I had a very tasty steak in a good salad and her burger was modified to her liking with a little input from staff. We sat at the bar and service was good despite it being one persons first shift there. Will go back and order off the great wine selection!!!“

Do yourself a favor and get extra bread to dip in the broth, you won’t be sorry! We didn’t have them on this visit, but one of the must try’s in my opinion is the Lobster Poutine! AMAZING! The amount of lobster in this dish at the price point of under $20 is OUTRAGEOUS in the very best sense of the word! The whiskey offerings at this establishment are some of the best that I have seen. I literally discovered one of very favorite bourbons here, Jefferson’s Ocean! The selections range from your basic line up, interesting new finds and hard to get must try’s. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot. So if you good food, attentive service and an amazing selection of whiskey are your thing, trust me when I tell you this is the place for you!“
