“So glad I stopped by on 4th of July! We just wanted some nice drinks before the fireworks and this is the place to go. Andrew made me a cocktail on the spot with Garrison Brother honeydew and it was dangerous....could easy keep sipping it LOL. Andrew was just great in general. Good company and well made drinks. Prices here are great too. Nice atmosphere as well.

“This is a really great bar to have fun drinks and delicious food. It's part of the signature Thai restaurant downstairs which is phenomenal. So the same great food is served upstairs in the bar.

The decor is fun and interesting. The service is quick. I highly recommend sitting at the bar.

As for dates, I think this place makes a great spot as a stopover if the first part of the date went great. You can still hear each other talk and you can share some small appetizers and try each other's drinks.“

“Went to check out the Restaurant week offerings and they delivered. Had a lovely dinner in their outdoor patio. We had the roasted Brussel sprout and grilled watermelon salad as starters, and for entrees the roasted chicken (very juicy) ad the chicken Bah Mi sandwich. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake and a carrot cake which we ended up taking home and having it for breakfast as their portions were generous. Service was attentive, and the selection of beers was great and the fact they had tasters for all the drafts offerings was fun as we got a little beer tasting by ordering 3 different tasters. Will definitely comeback.“

“I have always had a great time here— the food is great, the staff is nice, and the beer is always tasty. On my most recent visit, Andrea and Adjulah (forgive my spelling) pointed out that there are bag hooks underneath the bar. IMO, that is the height of luxury. I love this place!!!!“

“I always love coming to this restaurant. Whether with a large group of friends or just a couple people, the service is always friendly and prompt and the food is outstanding. I had the barbecue quesadilla and it was flavorful and juicy and the portions were so large that I could only eat half!“

“We always walk past Galae Thai and figured we’d stop by for lunch today and I’m glad we did! This restaurant usually doesn’t have a ton of people in it (due to its location, I’m sure) so there wasn’t a wait time and the food came out very fast.

I ordered the Drunken Noodles and it was delicious! My hubby ordered the Galae Noodles and it was a bit similar but not as spicy and had a slight sweetness to it.

Parking: Parking spots in this area are usually all taken throughout the day.“

You first have to go to one of the sister restaurants next door, ask to be seated at the Front Porch, then they'll escort you back to the Front Porch. It's a little strange and we watched many succumb to this unnecessary back and forth.We all enjoyed our meals. The smash burgers were especially amazing! The menu felt a little limited in terms of selections, which is why two of us ended up choosing the burgers in the first place.All in all, a decent experience.“

“My first experience with El Texano was with their food truck, Pako’s Freshmex in downtown DC, which led me to their restaurant in Alexandria. This is all I want for Mexican food now. From the birria tacos to the birria pizza, I crave it all now. The beef consume that comes with the tacos and pizza is so amazing. It makes the meal! It’s so so good. We will be back time and time again!!! We will absolutely hire Pako’s food truck for any parties we may have as well!“

“My girlfriend and I had the same cocktail which was very tasty and the 1st on menu. We ordered the tots and got something very different than expected that she could not have and i thought was fair at best. However our entrees were great. I had a very tasty steak in a good salad and her burger was modified to her liking with a little input from staff. We sat at the bar and service was good despite it being one persons first shift there. Will go back and order off the great wine selection!!!“

“Great stop to dance a little. Beers are not crazy expensive. I got pique macho which I'm not usually a fan of but their steak is amazingly soft and tender. I definitely recommend that. The dance floor gets tight but usually everywhere else is the same. Service was ok just not as attentive as I'd expect.“

“LOVE this restaurant! Stopped in last evening for dinner and enjoyed the Oysters,Oysters,Oysters off the restaurant week menu! The fried and grilled oysters were perfection and the raw oysters were fresh and DELISH! We stick to appetizers on this visit, after the oyster feast we moved on to the peel and eat shrimp, perfectly cooked and seasoned with Old Bay and the Mussels in the spicy broth! Do yourself a favor and get extra bread to dip in the broth, you won’t be sorry! We didn’t have them on this visit, but one of the must try’s in my opinion is the Lobster Poutine! AMAZING! The amount of lobster in this dish at the price point of under $20 is OUTRAGEOUS in the very best sense of the word! The whiskey offerings at this establishment are some of the best that I have seen. I literally discovered one of very favorite bourbons here, Jefferson’s Ocean! The selections range from your basic line up, interesting new finds and hard to get must try’s. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot. So if you good food, attentive service and an amazing selection of whiskey are your thing, trust me when I tell you this is the place for you!“

“I have never been to chilis before so my friends and i went on a Friday evening. We came from a nearby state since we didn’t have one near us and it was worth the drive. Our server was friendly and our food and drinks came out quickly. The food was so good i got the triple dipper and a tiki beach bar margarita it was huge i wasn’t expecting that but i would go again.“
