“Randomly found out about this place after having dinner with a friend at the sushi restaurant upstairs. It looked like a cute modernly decorated bar once we entered and it was. The music was GREAT, the bartenders were lovely and super attentive! The drinks had delicious interesting flavors and definitely gave you that kick you’re looking for after midnight. “I’ve visited Captain Gregory’s three times over the past three years and it is by far the best speakeasy experience in the DC area! The drinks are fantastic - delicious and true works of art. The service is impeccable and the vibe is perfect for a romantic date night or nice relaxing chat with a friend. The quality far exceeds the speakeasies and cocktail bars I’ve visited in DC, which often charge a higher price. If I lived closer, I’d be here all the time. 100/10 would recommend!“

The staff and service was exceptional (and friendly), the food was as good if not better than that from highly ranked Michelin restaurants, and the atmosphere and facility were perfect for a gathering of 50 or so people!! We started with the vegetable pakora, perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor, followed by the light and fluffy vegan roti and shrimp kabob, which was tender and perfectly spiced! The yellow dal was rich and packed with flavor. To finish, we had the kheer - also heavenly. The service was superb, and Raj, the owner, was the most gracious host. “I had a terrific time at dinner this week at The Tasting Room. I stopped in because the sign out front caught my attention something along the lines of "Our bartender is cheaper to talk to than your therapist." I was lucky to sit at the bar, and I in fact had a wonderful time talking with the bartender. I believe her name was Alexandria. She let me know that a few things were not available behind the bar due to a recent purchase of the hotel and restaurant, which did not really change my experience. I was disappointed that there were no tea leaves for a tequila drink I saw on the menu. It would have made for a fantastic drink, and for those that like drinks worthy of pictures, this would be it. The smoked old-fashioned was what I settled on, and I was not disappointed. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, and my experience was for sure influenced by the bartender.“

“House of Dynasty has been pumping out delicious food for me and my family for well over 20 years. I always get the sweet n sour chicken and the crisp is top notch with a sauce that should be the industry standard. The chicken cashew, sesame chicken, dumplings, beef broccoli, veggie lo mein, egg rolls and any other dish I've had here have always been excellent. Great quality meats in tasty sauces, yes please , 5 stars“
