Best in the DMV area. Authentic Ghanaian dishes that’s pocket friendly. The banku and tilapia is made fresh; definitely a 10. The choffi is great too. Calabash is really that place if you want to get that good Ghanaian meal.
This was my first time eating African food! I got the fufu, skewers, and spinach stew. The food was top notch! The owners are great and personable. The aesthetic and vibe was awesome. I am definitely going back, would definitely recommend Calabash. 10/10

This place was such a delightful discovery! The attentive care by the owner and staff made us feel welcomed and at home. And the food was so good! Truly fantastic. We had the grilled tilapia with bantu and okra soup with fufu. We were super grateful for water and bowl at our table to wash our hands before and after the meal, too. We'll definitely be back.
