“Modern day CHEERS! BEST bar in the DMV! AMAZING PLACE! GREAT vibe/bands/staff/food/bar/service, and the most warm and welcoming staff and "regulars"! Remember the show "CHEERS"? Rename it Pete's! "Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. “Came into Yard House today for lunch with my mom, and we had such a wonderful experience! ❤

We had the pleasure of being greeted and assisted by Tay and Logan, who were absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked through the door, Tay had the biggest smile and such a warm, welcoming spirit. Both Tay and Logan’s customer service was genuine, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

I truly appreciate people who go above and beyond to make customers feel valued. They were so pleasant, personable, and made our lunch experience even better. My mom and I don’t get out and about much, so having people greet us with such kindness really meant a lot.

The manager Adrienne was also able to assist me with an issue I was having and did everything she could to correct the situation. She was pleasant, kind, patient, and caring. Her customer service and the grace she showed throughout the situation were phenomenal. It really showed me that Yard House has the right leadership in place.

I want to give a special thank you to Tay, Logan, and Adrienne. Great customer service deserves to be recognized, and these three definitely deserve their flowers.“

I wasn’t expecting much and wasn’t sure about the all you can eat menu, but it was incredible. I had three rounds of orders with server recommendations. Shout out to Marcus for the phenomenal service and recommendations. Everything was delicious. Every. Single. Thing. The outdoor seating was great too and let me enjoy the nice day. “Old Hat Bar recently, and without any notice, hosted an impromptu group of about 20 friends celebrating the life of our dear friend laid to rest at Arlington that day. Not only did you welcome us in but you asked about our friend in the most genuine way. One waitress asked us to tell her a story about our friend, the owner took our picture then asked some of us how we met our friend. We all talked about how awesome the experience was the next day. Thank you all so very much for the space, the conversation & the drinks!“

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we were greeted with sunny faces and a friendly, highly professional staff. “Truly a hiddent jewel south of Old Town Alexandria. If I had been blindfolded and didn't know that I entered the establishment via the parking lot of Belle View Shopping Center I would have thought I was in an upscaled restaurant in downtown DC. This has become our favorite date night spot. Delicious food options and creative cocktails along with exceptional service (Brett) made our evening one to remember. I love a well made Old Fashioned and I wasn't disappointed. The secret ingredient of the quarter branch apple brandy took it to next level. We are looking forward to our next date night already!“

A Hidden Gem in Old Town Alexandria!

Alice Cocktail Bar exceeded every expectation and delivered an absolutely phenomenal dining and cocktail experience from start to finish.

The cocktails were outstanding. I started with the Alice, a beautifully crafted blend of Roku Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, Lychee Liqueur, Butterfly Pea, Yuzu, and Egg White. It was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. I also enjoyed the Gold Rush, made with Four Roses Bourbon, Cointreau, Honey, Yuzu, and Egg White—a smooth, flavorful cocktail that quickly became a favorite.

My partner ordered the Beach House and the Flamingo, both of which were exceptional. The Beach House combined Espolon Blanco, Banhez Mezcal, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Aperol, and Lime for a tropical burst of flavor. The Flamingo was equally delicious and was served in an adorable tiki glass that added a fun touch to the experience.

For appetizers, we ordered the Crab Rangoon and the Grilled Pork Sticky Rice. Let me just say—both were A1 delicious. The pork was perfectly marinated and grilled, and paired wonderfully with the sticky rice and chili garlic lime sauce.

For our entrées, we had the Crab Fried Rice and the Phuket Seafood. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. The Phuket Seafood, loaded with mixed seafood, onions, scallions, bell peppers, young peppercorns, sweet basil, carrots, and roasted chili sauce, was bursting with flavor. Chef’s kiss! The Crab Fried Rice was equally impressive. In my book, both dishes are award-winning.

What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our waitresses were attentive, knowledgeable, and spot-on with their recommendations throughout the evening. Their hospitality made an already fantastic experience even better.

Overall, Alice Cocktail Bar earns an easy A++. Amazing drinks, outstanding food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere. I cannot wait to return.

“Was looking for a place to eat that granted a good selection of beers and some vegetarian options, while I spent a couple of days staying in Arlington.
Galaxy Hut has crushed my expectations.
Buffalo things were very good, beer selection is massive, but the highlight was the burger.
By far the best vegetarian burger I have ever had, and also the eggplant fries, just wow!

“I stumbled into this place accidentally. All mediterranean restaurants’ food tastes the same. This place is different. Food tastes like home food. Also, they are generous with food as well. The food place is clean. The restaurant can benefit from some decor. I highly recommend them.“

“It is a nice bar with good quality drinks. The weird part was that we had to wait quite a long time at the door and then were told to wait more until our reservation at 9pm. While we waited 3 other couples came in and were turned away as they did not have reservations… one couple was told to come after 45min. Then when we entered at 9pm the place was half empty with many free tables 🤷🏻‍♀ I guess they don't need clients and felt bad for couples who were told to leave despite being half empty…“

“We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

“Some of the best Ethiopian food that I have had, and I am a Chef and have frequented many Ethiopian restaurants in DC as well.
I ordered the veggie combo and each dish was layered with the perfect amount of spice, heat and salt. The injera was light and fluffy with the familiar tang of a good fermentation. I also ordered a glass of Tej (honey wine) expecting a store bought bottle but was pleasantly surprised with a house made 6 month old wine that was slightly effervescent with a balanced sweetness that went perfectly with the food.
I told the server how great the food was and the Chef personally came out to thank me and talk to me about how she prepares the food and even answered questions I had about how to prepare there Shiro wot(which was excellent) and where to buy the spices for it. Both the Chef and the server were kind and treated me so warmly I felt like family.
If you are in the mood for authentic Ethiopian food, please give this place a try, I promise that you will be pleasantly surprised!“

“After a recent stay at the Hotel Hive, I must say it was one of the many highlights of my trip to DC. If you're looking for just the right spot, this is it... For starters, the location in the Foggy Bottom area of DC is hard to beat. It's an incredibly safe and completely walkable neighborhood that makes getting around the DC area perfect. The 5-minute walk to the metro station was perfect for starting and ending our long days running around, taking in this amazing city. Since it was our first ever stay in a "Micro Hotel" our room felt anything but cramped. Our Loft room was cozy, comfortable, and perfectly designed to maximize the space given. What made the space stand out was the huge windows, which let in a ton of natural light, making the room feel bright and spacious, thus perfect for waking up and planning our day's adventures. Lastly, there was the phenomenal staff... Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and always willing to go that extra mile to help answer any questions that we had. One front desk staff member who stood out was Sana, who, at every interaction, was always the first to ask how we were and how our stay was going. She even mentioned several helpful insights that made our stay that much better. Simply put, I can not recommend the Hotel Hive enough.... It truly is a gem in the Foggy Bottom District of DC...“
