11 Best Italian Restaurants in Springfield

“MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT MAGGIANO’s, SPRINGFIELD, VA! There are not enough word in the dictionary to describe my experience in Maggiano’s! From the time I make reservations through walking through the front door of the restaurant, the service, the managers, the chef, the food, to serving the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE SINCE ITALY, and cleanliness in the restrooms. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. Only a few small tables and chairs for dining in, but that was fine when I went. I enjoyed watching the impressively skilled chef make pizzas for others while I ate.“

“20240927 Came here with my coworkers. To be fair, by the time I arrived [late], the pizzas were cold. I added a star to this review because I assume the warm pizzas would be a lot better. The pizza was pretty good, but it is not the best I had. I ate a slice from the 4 pizzas on the table. I was pretty hungry ?. There was 1 pizza that stood out. The cheese had a funny taste. Fortunately, I got a slice that didn't have a lot of cheese or meat on it. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't get that pizza again.... AS IT TURNED OUT... it was a Vegan Pizza!!! Fake cheese, fake meat!! No wonder the cheese tasted funny! ? I'm a true believer of... don't make or eat anything that looks like animal products if it is vegan. ? I tried their fresh lemonade with grapes, and thin apple and lemon slices. My first sip of the lemonade was pretty much all sugar. Thanks to my coworker who suggested stirring it. Ah!! So much better!! I can taste the lemon juice. It's still pretty sweet, but I like it that way. I would get the lemonade again. I brought back a steak and cheese with fries for my friend at work, and he seemed to like it. The fries smelled so good in my car. If I were to come back, I would probably try another menu item.. especially their soup that looked delicious in the photo. I should have checked out their menu. The lady who took my order was very friendly.“

“Vocelli Pizza exceeded my expectations in every way! It’s a nice pizza take out spot off Backlick road. Their pizza is truly exceptional – the crust is crispy yet soft inside, and the toppings are always fresh and generously spread. I particularly loved the deluxe, the cupped pepperoni with all the fresh toppings and veggies was amazing! Their pepperoni rolls are really good as well, full of cheese and pepperoni. Their service is prompt and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. Next time ur in Springfield, you need to check this place out. Highly Recommend!“
