“First time here on a Friday night. We had reservations that were mixed up. Even though the restaurant was expected to be full they accommodated the 6 of us. The owner came over to greet us. I told him that this was my first visit. (Everyone else had been several times) Oh then he proceeded to bring bite size samples for me to try. He then offered up suggestions as to what I need to have for an appetizer, main course and even dessert. Food bursts with flavor. But the real experience here was the service. First class. Thank you all for the dining experience.”

“MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT MAGGIANO’s, SPRINGFIELD, VA! There are not enough word in the dictionary to describe my experience in Maggiano’s! From the time I make reservations through walking through the front door of the restaurant, the service, the managers, the chef, the food, to serving the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE SINCE ITALY, and cleanliness in the restrooms. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. “This place looked good so we wanted to give it a try. We got the pollo saltado (chicken with red onion and fries in a tasty sauce with rice) and pesto lomo (beef with spaghetti in a basil pesto). Both were served with garlic bread, and both were delicious. I asked for the chicken to be without tomatoes. Unfortunately it was served with tomatoes, but Geraldine apologized and quickly replaced it with no tomatoes. We also tried the raspberry cola inglesa (yum) and flancocho - a chocolate / vanilla-ish (?) cake that was delicious. The prices seemed a bit high, but the food and menu seemed very authentic. 100% Peruvian according to them... Our bill said "Hot and cold" so maybe it's their partner?”

“This is the second time I am at this restaurant, in summer patio is very hot, so avoid if is possible. We have drinks and appetizers. And they were very good. “On my first visit, I thought the abrupt cashier was just Swiss-German. On my second, two other people who were obviously not German were similarly frosty, and I heard frostiness in the interactions with customers ahead of me. They also took an absurdly long time to get single pastries out of the case and ring them up. At one point, I waited more than ten minutes for 2 people ahead of me to order only a couple of pastries.

Pastries are decent, and the cakes in the case were beautiful. They have substantial options for drinks they can make. Coffee is a bit bitter.

Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but I don't have a desire to go back for breakfast (Anita's a few doors down has great breakfast!). If I need a cake and am in that neighborhood, I might pick one up, but I already have bakeries with much friendlier staff that I'd rather travel to for my cakes, coffee, and pastries.”

“This is a nice family-owned restaurant that caters to simple Italian and Greek foods at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and makes eating and interacting with someone easy. The staff are friendly and courteous even during rushes.

We've been going here for the last six years, and the quality of the food has always been a solid 10/10 every time. They also offer a military appreciation day on Tuesdays for active military and veterans (it's a small business, so don't be an entitled prick complaining they don't offer military discounts every day).

I highly recommend this place for a quiet night out, a date night, a small office outing, or takeout. They also offer some nice wines when dining in, but always remember to drink responsibly and NEVER drink and drive.

“Kilroy's has been our go-to restaurant since it opened! We love the acoustics in the dining room - carpeting, booths, etc., and the food has never disappointed. As a person with a hearing loss, acoustics are very important, and I can enjoy conversation in a booth here along with the good food. Burgers are the best, the roast beef tender, and the onion rings are fabulous. Mandarin chicken salad is my go-to for lunch. Good family spot, too. All ages welcome.”

“Greatly improved food over the previously owned restaurant that was here. The current owners changed some of the restaurant design, making it feel more lively while also cleaner. The food is what really changed, having gone from mediocre at best to becoming absolutely delightful to eat. My wife and I come here at least three times a month, and I can't get enough of their 9PadThai meal (I often choose pork in mine).

If you're looking for a quiet and delicious lunch or dinner, I highly recommend this place.”

“The best customer service provided by the owner! They messed up my order the other day so I filed a complaint then I received a phone call from the owner apologizing and saying that he’ll give me 20% off with free mix ins the next time I come. So I went right away (can’t turn down cold stone lol)! I ordered a love it sized ice cream and my husband ordered a like it sized ice cream. By the time our ice creams came to the front, I noticed my ice cream was in a like it size cup. I told her that I ordered a love it size ice cream, she said ok then she just switched my ice cream to a love it cup. When she came back, I asked if she put more ice cream because my ice cream was looking sad af. She said no so I told her if I’m gonna pay more I expect more ice cream. So she went ahead and put one more scoop. When she came back, I asked what about the mix ins? She then looked at me like I had 9 heads on my shoulders. I told her I need to have a LOVE IT size ice cream made the right way. That’s when she rolled her eyes and sprinkled more almonds. When she came back (mind you this is the third time), I asked her what about the strawberries and pineapples? You just sprinkled almond crumbles. Then she said she added more. I said yes you added more almonds but what about the strawberries and pineapples? She rolled her eyes again and said “I added more mix ins”. That’s when I stopped arguing because I knew it wasn’t gonna go anywhere. I contacted the owner right away and thankfully he was still at the store so he was able to see my ice cream and he provided the absolute best customer service. He apologized, had her remake my ice cream and a free size upgrade to gotta have it. Seriously, he’s the only reason why I’m writing this positive review. I really appreciate how he genuinely heard me out and resolved the issue right away. That picture is how my love it sized ice cream was. It’s really a small size ice cream in a medium cup but I’m paying for medium.”

Sometimes when I was in the area for the day I would get breakfast in addition to lunch later, they are that good. The Chinese they had at the to-go bar was also a reliable choice. Don't get there that often any more though, but they are still what they were years ago.”

“This was our go to Chinese restaurant when we lived in the area many years ago.
We ate here frequently and knew the owner. So we were back in the area after many years and had to check it out. Didn't know or recognize anyone but food was still great. We had the orange beef, one of our old favs and it was still the best. You could cut it with a fork. We had very good appetizers also.
Many years ago, Billy fixed super Zombies, but the current restaurant only has beer, no hard stuff. Don't let this stop you from getting some great food here.”

The only downside is the lack of parking and seating. It is located in a warehouse and the times I have been there I’ve either been lucky and gotten one of their few spots or had to drive around until I found an unclaimed parking spot. “Simple, delicious food. Might be a small joint but well worth your visit.

They have a large variety on the menu and I had a hard time selecting as they were all tempting.

We ordered the ceviche, lomo saltado. grilled fish/shrimp, and the lengua tacos.
All were great, the lengua tacos were the best I’ve had since I was out west.
Portions are generous.

Staff was very attentive, will visit again.

“At the I was there I was a customer there that was 20 years ago from 1999-2002. It was a great atmosphere everyone that worked there at the time were very friendly and I got along with everyone. I met alot of people and made friends there. I live in North Carolina permanently with family I left Washington D.C area in 2017 and I regret not visiting back at Hard times before I left. “20240610 Got my food buddy to try this restaurant with me. I ordered the chicken and kubeeda combo. They gave us some soup and it was delicious!! It has a very tiny tiny piece of meat in my bowl. It tastes like tomato chicken soup. The sides I got was chickpea and eggplant. Both were good but chickpea could be softer. I really like the chicken kabob and rice. The chicken was very tender. The kubeeda was good but not the best that I had, and certain bites were spicy which I like. Overall the food was good
The Reston Grill Kabob is still my favorite!! The cashier seemed reserved, and could be a cultural thing. I like smiley and friendly services. The restaurant is decent but couple be cleaner.”

And on top of all the choices, they make their own Peking duck, home made! Just call ahead of time because they only offer it once in a while of course since they make it from scratch.
The service is top notch, the owner Ms Dan has the most wonderful smile and makes you feel so welcome. Good customer service is so rare nowadays!
It is a family business I found out, Ms Dan runs the front and her husband the kitchen. That’s why I trust the food and wish them all the success they deserve.

The Dyfre's Double Trouble burger is HUGE and so mouth wateringly delicious! The LA Taqueria DC Carne asada fries are a meal in its own. The Bella Vita Pizza Antipasto pizza is out of this world!”

They had an extensive menu that catered to all tastes and preferences.
