“On a bit of a health kick and randomly popped in looking for (obviously) a salad and was warmly greeted by Moussa. It was a down time and there was one customer ahead of me being helped by the team member behind the line. Moussa paused whatever work he was doing on his laptop and jumped behind the line to help me out, making a couple of recommendations and helping me navigate the extensive menu. We chatted a bit as he built my salad and I discovered he was actually the manager. The food, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10. Moussa did a fantastic job making sure my first experience at Just Salad was a great one, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone.“

“The absolute best place for Acai bowls and smoothies. To me this is the number one business in this field. On average I try to get South Block between 2 to 4 times per week. Staff is incredibly friendly and inside and out there are great places to sit. Visit them on a very very very hot day and you'll feel like your in heaven.“

Their smoothies are a lifesaver, especially during my first trimester. Light, refreshing, and packed with goodness—they’re exactly what I need when I want something healthy but still delicious. It’s one of the few places where “healthy” doesn’t feel like a compromise at all.

“This was my first time at this specific South Block location. I discovered it’s inside GW’s Lerner Health and Wellness Center. I ordered ahead via the app, and my Loaded PBJ Acai Bowl was ready when I arrived. The guy working behind the counter was super friendly and made the experience even better. The price was the same as other South Block locations, which I appreciated. While I’m not usually in this part of town, I would definitely stop by again next time I am! “I had the green bowl and it was great. The only reason I gave it a 4 is that it's 10 bucks and change for the mini bowl. Plus I hate that all these places ask for tips at checkout. I obviously tipped but I feel tips belong at sit down restaurants, not stand at the counter ordering. Just my opinion. If I didn't have a coupon I would have paid almost 12 bucks for a mini bowl. “An amazing Playa Bowls location that is worth a stop if you’re in Arlington. I have enjoyed this chain in various states, but this one is not too busy and very efficient in making what ever you order. I had the Protein Power bowl and the tidal wave smoothie. Both were absolutely delicious, and I was able to make vegan thanks to vegan protein powder being an option!

The space is quite large considering the location, one benefit that can be overlooked when frequenting this chain in other cities, as they have to accommodate to fit in certain cities. Overall I will be returning to this location whenever I am in town!“

“I come to this place mainly as a quick stop because the food is relatively healthy. However, to be honest, the taste is just average—not really that good. The portion size is also a bit small for the price. The photo I’m attaching makes it look like a generous portion, but in reality it’s served on a smaller plate, which makes it seem like more than it actually is.

I’ve tried other locations from the same chain where the food tastes fresher and much better. At this location, it was just okay. I usually only come here if it’s necessary, since it’s not something I really crave. The service, though, is good.“

“We’ve been using this place for lunch for the past few days, and it’s been consistently impressive. The service has been outstanding every time, friendly, efficient, and refreshingly prompt.

We’ve also been using the app for collection, and it works brilliantly. You’re kept informed throughout the process, and our orders have always been ready when promised. No guessing, no unnecessary waiting, just an easy, seamless experience.

The salads are another big win. The ingredients taste genuinely fresh, the portions are plentiful, and everything is packed with flavour. We ordered the High Protein Buffalo Chicken, with antibiotic-free blackened chicken, tomatoes, feta, raw carrots, pickled onions, garlic breadcrumbs, cilantro, chopped romaine, organic kale, Caesar dressing and sweetgreen hot sauce. We also tried the High Protein Kale Caesar, featuring roasted chicken, Parmesan crisps, shaved Parmesan, garlic breadcrumbs, kale, romaine, lemon and Caesar dressing.

What we particularly liked is the flexibility to tweak ingredients to suit your taste, which was handled easily and very reasonably. The menu is also impressively informative, with calories, carbohydrates, fat and fibre clearly displayed, ideal if you like to know exactly what you’re eating without having to play nutritional detective.

And then there’s the app rewards. As we’ve continued ordering, we’ve accumulated points that turn into rewards. It’s certainly not essential, but it’s a welcome little bonus and a clever incentive to keep coming back.

Overall, this is a great lunch option: fresh, generous, tasty, quick and well organised, with genuinely good service. After several visits in a row, we’re clearly becoming regulars, and judging by how well everything has gone so far, we’re perfectly happy with that!“
