“One of a kind! Awesome selection of Korean and American snacks. The service is top notch. The atmosphere is upbeat with a lounge vibe. Highly recommend.
Only caveat is parking might be tough during peak hours. Be careful parking in Honey Pig and Rumba lots adjacent to 1943 Classic.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Incheon Nova, a modern fusion Korean cuisine restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The culinary experience at Incheon Nova surpassed all my expectations with its delightful and delicious dishes, each infused with a touch of creativity. The flavors at Incheon Nova were simply explosive! From the moment I took my first bite, I was instantly transported to a world of culinary bliss. The combination of traditional Korean ingredients with innovative cooking techniques resulted in dishes that were not only unique but also incredibly tasty. It was evident Chef Ahn at Incheon Nova possess a true passion for his craft. The modern and stylish interior created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with friends, Incheon Nova offers a versatile space that caters to all occasions. What truly made my visit to Incheon Nova exceptional was the friendly and accommodating staff. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring all my needs were met.”
“Best Bul jok bal and mak guk su place in DMV area.
The interior is looking like pocha, so people might come here for just drinking. However, you guys can just come to this place for having dinner. They are mostly delicious.
A place where buljokbal and makguksu are delicious. A taste that cannot be beat even in Korea.
The interior looks like a bar, so people come here late in the evening to drink. However, considering the price, taste, and quantity, this is one of the few Korean restaurants that is worth coming to for dinner.”
“Food was good, service was…lol not bad just very indifferent. No greeting, no smile, no words at all — just slid me the food and silently took payment — no real problem with that. Food was decent, prices had gone up a bit from what I could see online but overall basic decent late night option for pizza.”
“This place is very spacious and clean. The servers were super nice and accommodating. Fun place to try nice Korean food and have some drinks. It’s a good place to watch some sports games too! Great place for a large group. There are private rooms as well. Would definitely come back.”

“Only had four (really just two) options for broth. Was either regular or spicy dashi or regular or spicy beef. Pretty standard menu for shabu shabu. Services were great though. Probably main redeeming quality was service.”
“Great Sunday lunch spot! I went with my kids and sat inside. Chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. Edamame was good and the tornado fry was fun to eat. I will say the waitstaff didn’t seem super engaged but the food is so good and the spot is clean - I’ll definitely be back
Kid-friendliness: Lots of simple things on this menu that any kid would eat but no designated menu.”
“I had a fried whole fish here. It was amazing. Friendly and attentive staff. The owner came out and checked on us multiple times. They also have a very healthy vegan platter along with spaghetti options, well flavored and fulfilling. Ambience was also great. Sporty bar vibe with beautiful Ethiopian traditional coffee setup. I’ll definitely go back.”

“I visited Bites in Annandale for the first time yesterday, and I absolutely fell in love with the place. The food is incredible—so flavorful, with lots of topping choices and a variety of sauces. They have delicious chicken and another meat option (both were amazing). I highly recommend getting the combo! Their desserts are also a must-try. I had a crepe with Oreo, KitKat, Nutella, banana, and strawberries, and it was absolutely delicious.
The best part is that they’re open until 4 in the morning, which was perfect since I was looking for a late-night spot. The staff was extremely friendly, even during the late hours. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the patio on a nice day. Everything was just perfect. I can’t recommend Bites enough—whether it’s for a quick bite during the day or a late-night meal, this place is worth a visit!
Kid-friendliness: I would recommend the lamb for kids or anyone not used to spicy food, as the chicken has a bit of a spicy kick. The lamb is flavorful and a great alternative!”
“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.”

“I recently had lunch at a Korean-Japanese restaurant in Annandale specializing in Japanese ramen and meat cutlets. The lunch combo included ramen, chawanmushi, a cutlet, and side dishes such as pickled radish, kimchi, and Tonkatsu sauce. The ramen had a simple flavor, and the chawanmushi was basic without much flavor, as it was just a steamed egg. The Tonkatsu was of good quality, soft and juicy inside and crunchy outside. For dessert, they offered a complementary Yakult. Overall, there was nothing extraordinary about the food, service, and atmosphere.”
“This place is beyond writing s good review. I used to be in college 22 years ago and it was the spot for everyone bc they have really good food and always generous. Recently, I took my son there after many years bc I moved away and now back in the area. My son loved it so much, this is our second visit in less than a week. The place is just as good as it used to be and they reason behind all the success in my own opinion is bc it managed by an excellent owner and his family. Really the food and the service is beyond your imagination.
As I was leaving, I spotted Moby dick across the street and I am confident to say, if you eat here, you would not eat Moby dick even if it was for free. Good job in keeping up the hard work and may God bless the owner and his family. We will see you guys again soon. All the love and respect to everyone that works there ??????”

“I love this bakery! Since, the first visit everything I have ever ordered has been fresh, well prepared and delicious! I love the teas, coffees, sandwiches and of course the dessert!! I travel out to them every year to get a cake on my birthday. That is how amazing they are.”
“This place seems like a clean traditional Korean snack bar with a male owner and a female owner. All the delicious food is here. Squid kimbap. Jjolmyeon. Awesome, awesome. I want to go eat again
Vegetarian options: Jjolmyeon with vegetables. Freshness. Highly recommended”
“The food was really delicious, just like what I used to eat when I went to visit my grandmother in Korea! Tofu stew, jjolmyeon, and kimbap with a lot of perilla seed powder, and the side dishes, especially young radish kimchi, are the best.... In this time of rising prices, the price and quantity are good, and the taste is truly the best!”
“The service was excellent. I like the special treat in the end. Glad we decided to go here.”
“I'm checking in once a week hahaha a great malatang kwabarou restaurant! The most delicious malatang I had in the DMV area. This time, Kwao Barou also came out and became my favorite malatang restaurant. The owner is so friendly that it's always nice every time I go. Because I can add whatever toppings I want?
Parking: Since it's inside a supermarket, the parking lot is really spacious.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve had lunch at Szechuan Star a few times and have also ordered takeout many times, and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The food and service have always been top-notch, never disappointing. It’s a small restaurant, but it’s clean and cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and always goes above and beyond, paying attention to every detail to ensure customers are happy.
The food is consistently delicious, and the prices are unbeatable, especially with their lunch specials. For anyone local, this spot is a must-try if you’re craving flavorful Chinese food with excellent service!
Parking: Plenty”
“Ordered a papaya salad for delivery... lord have mercy... I haven't tasted Thai spicy like this in a long time! Chugging water with tears streaming down my face right now but I want to keep eating because it's so good LOL. If you like SERIOUS heat, this place is for you! If not, I'm sure they have other delicious options for you as well. I always thought I can handle spice pretty well but I think I'll ask for less next time XD Also got mango sticky rice for dessert. The rice is a little dry/hard tbh, but still good. I recommend this place!”
“Favorite Salvadorean cuisine. My favorite meal is the "yuca con chicharrón," which is fried yucca root and pork crackling (rinds). This also includes shredded cabbage in the center as a side. I recommend reheating in an oven for better taste and texture. My second favorite meal is the chicken sandwich, which includes fries. It's about 8", has some lettuce and mayo in it. Pretty tasty. Same as above for reheating. My favorite sides are red beans or "pupusa revuelta." Pupusas are probably a transliteration of "pupus" or "pu-pu platters," which are similar to "tapas." These are bite-sized entrees or platters, but in this case, it is a fried, corn meal, pancake-like item similar to a 'tamal' in that it is corn-based, but it is flat and round and filled with either cheese, beans, or a combination of both (revuelta).Lastly, no meal comes with a drink included, but you can choose soft drinks, water, beer, coconut water, "horchata" or "jugo de marañón" (cashew juice). Horchata is the name of several kinds of beverages, made of ground almonds, sesame seeds, rice, barley, tigernuts, or melon seeds (in this case, it's a powdered mix). Jugo de marañon is cashew juice, a light sweet juice somewhat similar to guava juice and almond milk combined.Prices are very, very reasonable as is the quality of food. However, I cannot guarantee the best customer service. This does not deter my 5-star rating because I enjoy the food, not the people.Lastly, there is music videos or live fútbol (soccer) usually playing on about 3-4 TVs. There is a restroom for men and women, bit the women's restroom requires a key, which you obtain from the counter up front. They also sell pastries of central American style.”
“This used to be the best Korean fried chicken spot, and others can fight me on that. I’ve put 10+ friends on to this spot and visit it after our outdoor trips multiple times a year.
Unfortunately, their quality has been taking a hit. Just 6 months ago they were fine.
I always get the honey garlic boneless thighs. Usually they are sweet crispy, perfectly cooked every time. The last few times they lacked the savory sweetness in the sauce and have been overcooked. Please bring back the old recipe.
You guys are a gem, just needs a bit of polishing.
at least the pickled radish hasn’t changed.”
“Amazing Peking Duck!! Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! Highly recommended!. I will definitely go back and bring friends and family to experience the flavors.”
“The owner, is super kind the price is super cheap free ice cream
steamed egg, bulgogi, cold noodles and corn cheese is delectable. 5 stars
Kid-friendliness: The owner is super kind to kids its like she is a loving grandma.”
“Reliable restaurant for authentic and good Korean food. We usually get marinated galbi and mul naeng myun (cold buckwheat noodles). You know a place is good when most the clientele is Korean lol. Prices are a bit high but that seems to be the trend everywhere post pandemic.”

“Saturday night dinner for a group of 6, and I was able to reserve a table about 2 hours before arrival. The best items we got was the stir fry octopus dish with noodles. Must order. Absolutely delicious, not too spicy, perfectly cooked, a crowd pleaser. The banchans are yummy, and every dish except the cabbage kimchi was vegetarian, which was helpful for the one vegan in my group, and they were able to find good options on the menu as well. I ordered the individual combo, with the pork stir fry and seafood tofu soup. My friend who ordered galbi got a lot more meat than I did, I was jealous. Everything was delicious. I ordered medium spicy level for the tofu soup, I could probably gone for spicy. A friend who is sensitive for spicy food regretted getting mild and said they could comfortably handle medium. Another great Korean food option in Annandale.”

“A hidden gem in Korea town. We shared the all you can eat option for lunch. Meats were of high quality with salads and pickles. Very cozy old fashioned atmosphere and excellent service.”
“I had a meeting, so I ordered a platter in advance over the phone and went to pick it up. The order was prepared exactly at the time I said, and the sushi was really, really fresh and delicious! And the owner said he would serve it because it had a pretty name, so he cooked the leftover salmon and gave it to me, and even that was delicious! Good sense, boss👍🏼 May you prosper a lot🔥”
“The food here is really so delicious >_<!!Gopchang hotpot, kalguksu, bulgogi, pork taco,I was surprised because all the menu items, including whelk somen, rib bibimbap, etc., were delicious!!I really recommend the tripe hotpot and kalguksu!Especially in the summer, the combination of Makguksu + Chuncheon Dakgalbi is crazy... .??????”

“I love trying out places with unique drinks and Ben Gong's Tea in Annandale is a location with many unique drinks. Of course, they have your traditional boba tea and various fruits teas but I love their fermented rice milk tea series. I appreciate how a lot of their drinks come with crystal jellies already too. Also highly recommend their strawberry yukult if you love fruity and sweet drinks!
Their drinks are not very sweet to begin with so if you prefer sweeter drinks I recommend going with 70%+ sugar. Around 50% and less it isn't really sweet anymore!”
“A home-y “hole in the wall” place with good food and sweets. Don’t let this place’s looks throw you off. The AYCE/buffet is $13.99 and you serve yourself then pay after. The honesty system is strong! During our meal, the workers let us try different sauces and explained the options.
I don’t know the names very well but I had: rice with chickpeas, the “stewed” chicken, tandoori chicken, chickpeas, and eggplant. The eggplant and stewed chicken were my favorite! The meats are all SOOOO tender. We also ordered the Naan and it was the freshest we’ve had!
We ended with dessert from the buffet. It was Gulab and soooo good! It was sweet and perfect to end the meal.
Afterwards, one of the workers was so kind as to explain what each dessert was and the flavors. He let us try one of them for free. And then when I ended up picking 2 other desserts, he gifted them because we were new to the place!!!
Service was great!
Would definitely come back!”
“Gom Ba Woo is the best place to go to get a "home cooked" Korean meal.
Every time I go in I feel like an invited guest, going over to a family's house for dinner.
I really love this place. Consistently good food, clean and welcoming.
I wouldn't go anywhere else for Korean food in Virginia.”
“The food is great. I came with some friends to check out the place and try the foods they had to offer. We got seated right away and took our drinks. We ordered some spring rolls which were decently priced for the size which it was accompanied by some dipping sauces. We also ordered some pho and they had chili oil, Sriracha, and hoisin sauce. Overall the time it took to get all our food for 3 people was no longer then 10mins”
“Quality food. Good selection of munchies and drinks. Always neat and clean. Owner, counter, and kitchen tean are friendly, courteous, and just nice folks.
Parking: Parking can get tight on the cafe side of the building. Go around to the other side for a larger lot or access to the parking garage.
Wheelchair accessibility: Level.”
“It was a really delicious meal.
I was completely surprised by the size of the cutlassfish.
However, I didn't know that lunch was not available on weekends, so I ordered two for lunch. I also added dumplings..haha
Lunch and dinner prices are different.
Although we couldn't confirm it.
It was a more delicious grilled fish meal in the U.S. than in Korea.”
“5 Stars
Mad for Grill, a Korean restaurant in Annandale, VA, is a spot that will keep you coming back. The “조기구이정식“, Grilled Yellow Croaker Set) is exceptional—perfectly grilled with deep, rich flavors. The side dishes (banchan) are like little appetizers, and the Kimchi is hands down the best I’ve ever had in any restaurant—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly special. It’s a taste that’s sure to impress, especially for those new to Korean cuisine. Plus, the convenient location makes it an easy choice. If you’re after authentic Korean food, Mad for Grill is a must-visit!”
“You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!”
“I have been here many times with my family and friends, I love this place because Food is so delicious and fresh with reasonable prices and staffs are so kind. I didn’t come here for a while but still same as always which means great food and wonderful service BUT Somehow everything got even much better with quality of food and service. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE if YOU WANT TO EAT GREAT FOOD WITH RIGHT SERVICE ~!!!!!!”
“Will put on any game you want - big VIrginia Tech clientelle. Always great service and the food is fantastic. I order carry out whenever I can't stay to eat.”
“Today I place an order around noon for delivery at 9:00pm. I order the dish Soondae+Bossam, the order came right at 9:00pm on the dot. This little girl came out the car name Jenny with mask and gloves(due to all the virus going around)... very professional and clean. Food was great 10 out of 10. Would strongly recommend eatting here!”
“Always thought the place was okay at best but wow they have made a massive improvement!
We had spicy pork belly, mul naenmyun and bibim naeng myun and it was so Much food!!
Soy bean paste soup and egg along with their banchan was also very good.
Service was top notch and friendly. They cook all the meat for You to perfection and overall was pleasantly surprised!!”
“The best Galbi in town!
Loved their Mot-nan Pork rib, but now my new favorite is their Korean traditional beef-Galbi ! (Marinated Galbi, not LA Galbi)
No fat in the beef Galbi! & I love it!
So tender, soft, and tasty!
The new management really improved the taste~”

“My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. The restaurant has a lounge-like atmosphere but feels very family friendly. The staff are courteous, attentive, and respectful. The food was fresh. All of the meats were well prepared for grilling, and the Bulgogi and the Beef brisket were out of this world! The spicy rice cakes and steamed egg were definitely my favorite appetizers. All in all a wonderful place for a night out.
Dietary restrictions: One of the dipping sauces they serve at the table is peanut oil based.”
“Wife and I love this place. Very chill whole in the wall kind of place. Came here almost every week for most of last winter. Continues to be a regular spot because of how simple, cheap and good it is. Love the spicy pork dish - Jayuk Bokeum. A bit pricy but is huge and almost feeds two people. Wife loves the tofu soup. Mandu and the kimchi or seafood pancakes are great starters. Kimchi and tea come with every meal. Have had kimchi at lots of asian spots but this is by far the best kimchi ever. Will continue to frequent this spot”
