“I love trying out places with unique drinks and Ben Gong's Tea in Annandale is a location with many unique drinks. Of course, they have your traditional boba tea and various fruits teas but I love their fermented rice milk tea series. I appreciate how a lot of their drinks come with crystal jellies already too. Also highly recommend their strawberry yukult if you love fruity and sweet drinks!

Their drinks are not very sweet to begin with so if you prefer sweeter drinks I recommend going with 70%+ sugar. Around 50% and less it isn't really sweet anymore!“

“The staff was really kind and friendly, they try their best to give the customer the best experience. The food was amazing, has a lot of flavor, also didn't have to wait that long to get my food, and their boba is the best boba I have ever had. Definitely worth the price and will always be my go to boba place! The environment was also very clean and well organized, from the moment I walked in I was greeted with a positive and clean aura throughout the air which put me at ease. The top-notch food and drinks, especially the fresh sugar cane juice, are my personal favorites. My little one would probably agree if he could express it (maybe in a year). “We are regulars as we live nearby, some of the best fruit teas in Alexandria. We come once every 2-3 weeks (when we can resist). I also love their taro with almond milk too, and they have friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. Super close to the metro, too. Give them a try!

Dietary restrictions: They have almond and oat milk as substitutes for lactose! Not sure about gluten, but they would tell you if you asked.

Parking: Usually there’s at least one street spot open in front, and if not there is also a free parking garage around the corner when you head towards the Colecroft condos, and 3 retail spots you can use too. The walk is short.“

“First of all, I'm a boba LOVER! I know when the tea is good, and when I say Gong Cha is incredible, I MEAN it! The place is so pretty and has lots of cute decorations. It has a wide menu with lots of options. You can order on a little screen if you don't want to order directly, and you can choose how much sweetness, how large the cup is, sometimes the ice, and what toppings. The workers are very polite, and your order is quick. There's also some arcade machines and lots of sitting options, like chairs, tables, and a sofa. Love the place, I always crave it!“

“Wish Tea is on the first floor of Tyson Center. The store has a nice and large environment, but it's not very obvious and easy to miss. The taste is okay! It's not the kind of flavor that makes people feel amazing, and I won't go out to repurchase it, but it is a smooth cup of milk tea. If I happen to be thirsty, I will buy a cup to quench my thirst. This is the first time I have seen a super large cup capacity, which is very good. The grass jelly is quite delicious, I recommend adding some.“

“A great bubble milk tea spot that gives trendy, neighborhood bar vibes, complete with high top tables and a crowded bar. Well staffed with a patient and efficient crew - employees make time to chat with customers and friends while keeping the order queues moving.

We've visited twice and found the menu easy to understand, ordering was quick, and drinks were spot on. Waited 5 minutes for order of 2 specialty teas one night (~5 other patrons in restaurant) and 20 minutes for 1 "regular" milk tea (30-40 people at tables and milling about, inside and out).

The tea combos were great, but the boba itself is probably what will keep us coming back. Sweet and flavorful, with just a great texture - a hard to describe consistency of fresh squishy marshmallows, in an orb form.

Great alternative to the cliche bars or coffee shops for teens and twenty-somethings to chat with friends; however, older adults (i.e. me) will not feel alienated. Not a quiet place, so I do not recommend it as a place to study.“

“Great place to hang with friends. When you want to get boba with your friends come here. Grab a board game or bring your own. Bathroom is nice check it out. I thought maybe it wasn't going to be good but I was wrong. The ice cream waffle dessert is something I enjoy getting. Similar to a kung fu tea. I come to this place right after pho 75. I never had any problems. It seems like a hardworking environment.“

“I came here because I was craving a Boba Drink. I decided to order the Large Oreo Wow. Due to the Wow Pearl's not being ready, I was still able to receive the black Boba pearls in it and the Brown Sugar Flavor to make it taste so delicious.

The drink to me tasted like an Oreo Milkshare with the crumbles on the bottom. I enjoyed the drink and will be heading back to try a different drink each time. I do think the drinks are fairly priced.

The store has a cozy environment where you can relax and play some of the games if the pieces aren't missing.

Parking: This is a free parking space, there are not many spaces in front but there is plenty of parking on the side as well.

Kid-friendliness: The store is kid friendly. It has plenty of drinks that you can customize to your liking, and if the pieces are available their are a few games for kids to play with.“

“100% recommended. Came here one hour before they closed because my friend wanted to try the Blended Milo, since no place seems to have the exact one in Vietnam. I got myself the egg cream milk tea. It turned out that they both tasted EXACTLY the same as the type of boba we had in Vietnam. We’ve been coming back every single week ever since then. “Not only is their esthetic so calming and perfect for a slow morning coffee and read of a book, but the coffee is so good! I’ve only just had either black hot and iced coffee, and both are so good. Beans aren’t burnt and the overall coffee flavor is the right amount of bitter and sweet. A cappuccino is next on my list, but you know a coffee place is doing it right if just their black coffee is great!
